Surpass support is exceptional!

Pros

Their support is awesome! Their customer service is the best part about Surpass. Whenever I have a question, they always answer through chat within minutes. If I prefer to call, they're available too. I really like how they constantly use customer feedback to make the product better.

Cons

Honestly, it's hard for me to pinpoint anything I dislike about It. Whenever there's something that could be improved, I'm always able to suggest changes. They seem open to feedback which is great.

Top choice for library acquisitions!

Pros

I love their customer support. They always respond to my questions within minutes and they're so patient and helpful. The OPAC looks great and is very easy to use. It's also really quick and simple to catalog new entries. It's a perfect fit for our small library!

Cons

One thing that can be annoying is having to type the exact title when searching for a book in the Resource list. It would be nice if there were an option to search with more flexibility.

Overall good solution

Pros

It's so easy to use! It's incredibly intuitive. The training and ongoing tech support are fantastic! Checking in and out books is easy and my volunteers have had no issues at all learning how to use the program.

Cons

After using It for two years, I don't really have any major concerns. If I could change one thing, it would be to have a simpler way to track where all the books are located. Since we're a mobile library, books are stored in different places, so it can sometimes be a challenge to know exactly where a specific book is. However this is more of an issue with our setup rather than Surpass itself.

Perfect for our church library!

Pros

The site is so easy to use and implement. The web page is a great addition for our patrons to search titles in our catalog and stay updated on what's happening in our church library.

Cons

I honestly don't have any complaints. Surpass Cloud has done an amazing job thinking through every detail to make this catalog work smoothly for us.

Great solution

Pros

It's so flexible. You can add as much or as little detail as you need. There are multiple ways to enter bibliographic info and I love that we can search multiple library catalogs to do copy cataloging. I'm really impressed with it!

Cons

One minor issue I've encountered is with label printing and it's not always perfect. Also using the "Add New by ISBN" feature can be slow at times which can be frustrating when I need to add multiple books quickly.

Really happy with the service!

Pros

As a new librarian at a small school library, I find it easy to get the hang of the program. And the best part? The service is amazing. There are instructional videos on YouTube, plus I can chat with a LIVE ASSISTANT, no bots! The assistants are always patient, knowledgeable and so helpful. I feel totally taken care of.

Cons

The time it takes to enter new holdings with an ISBN is long for my liking. Beyond that, I don't have much to offer in terms of constructive feedback since I'm still getting the hang of the program.

Pros

I find it incredibly easy to use. The interface is very clean and everything is clearly labeled, so I never get confused.

Cons

There really isn't anything I dislike about It. It's been a great experience overall.

My fav!

Pros

It's very user friendly, flexible and always improving. We've even recommended it to other non-profit lending libraries. We tell them our catalog is amazing but honestly, it's all thanks to Surpass!

Cons

Sometimes, the changes we request don't get implemented because our use case is a bit different from what Surpass is designed for and we're a toy library for a non-profit, not a traditional library. Navigating between functions (like going from transactions to resource/patron pages) can be a little tricky but I've noticed this is improving over time.

Powerful & efficient library catalog

Pros

The Surpass catalog is fantastic. It's as good as other, more expensive library systems. So easy to use!

Cons

One thing I'd like to see changed is how Surpass handles multivolume sets. Right now, it shows each volume as a separate entry which can be a little confusing. It would be nice if it showed the entire set as one entry with a list of all the volumes.

Best support ever!

Pros

There's so much to love about this tool. They offer great options for adding items and it's easy for our users to find them. Plus, their support team is always quick to help and answer any of my questions.

Cons

There can be some confusion with how things are categorized in the system. Some items don't seem to fit perfectly into the categories which can make finding certain things trickier.

Surpass does great

Pros

So easy to use! I always get a timely and detailed response from Surpass's experts.

Cons

We've been struggling to get everything up and running as quickly as we'd like but that's not Surpass's fault. The process is clearly defined and once we get everything in place, I'm sure it'll go smoothly.

Top in the cloud based library space!

Pros

I've been using It for the past fifteen months and I couldn't be happier. It's user-friendly, interactive and super easy to udr. I've taught over thirty volunteers at my school how to use it and they've picked it up with no problem. The customer service is always prompt and I can usually reach someone within five minutes either by phone or chat.

Cons

At this point, I honestly can't think of anything I dislike about It. It's been working really well for us.
