“A really powerful web portal
Pros
It is a really powerful web portal with lots of customization options. Plus the support team is amazing as they reply pretty fast and have been really flexible with all our requests.
Cons
The current templates can feel a bit restrictive at times. For example we wanted some elements to span the full width of the screen but the custom formatting options and code snippets provided by it did not work well with our forms, so we had to skip that idea. It's not a major problem but just a small frustration.

“Integrated smoothly with our pos
Pros
WebSell integrated smoothly with our current POS system. The customer support is outstanding too and the backend is both powerful and user-friendly.
Cons
The pricing has more than doubled over the past few years and I am not really sure why such a big increase was necessary. To truly get the most out of the platform, you also need more than just a basic understanding of how their systems work as there is definitely a learning curve involved.

“my favorite part is PAm
Pros
My favorite part of Websell is PAM (the product attribute manager). It lets us handle data in bulk without needing SQL or other complicated processes.
Cons
To be honest the cost feels a bit high but after looking at other options, I noticed no one else offers something like PAM or makes things as easy, so it's worth it.

“Losing sales because of PAm issues
Pros
I really value the security, clean look and how versatile the search function is on the site.
Cons
We are losing sales because of issues with PAM especially inaccuracies with weight and dimensions for shipping. I have never had a company call us to say the shipping quote was wrong until now. Also the monthly rate has gone up so much in the two years we have been using it that we would have looked at other options if we'd known.

“Fast POS with real-time stock but poor communication
Pros
Our webstore is very fast, totally reliable and our customers really love being able to see real-time stock levels thanks to the POS integration. The PAM tool is also really quick and easy to use as it is way better than spreadsheets for handling huge amounts of data. Plus the support team is absolutely top-notch and always there to help!
Cons
They do not keep us informed about new features. Development work and bug fixes take forever sometimes over a year unless we are willing to pay a daily rate. The user forum was shut down a few years ago which is disappointing because we used to upvote change requests and even crowd-fund development. Monthly fees have increased significantly without any improvement in service and there is no clear pricing policy.

Cons
Because of where we are located, there can sometimes be a delay in getting a response to a support ticket.

Websell's e-commerce platform works perfectly with our till system. Even though they are different companies, they understand each other's quirks which is a lifesaver when I get stuck.
Cons
I have not found anything that really bothers me about the software yet. I am still learning new things all the time.

Pros
Once you get the hang of it, management become really simple. Also PAM is incredibly handy, syncing is fast and the marketing tools are really useful.
Cons
The cost tripled in just one year. Also it should handle shipping themselves instead of relying on third parties. They also need a dedicated app as the mobile site is good but sizing can be inconsistent.

Cons

Pros
The best thing about Websell is that it was already integrated with our POS. Web orders flow right in and inventory is managed through the POS which is awesome!
Cons
Our customers often have trouble completing orders when they use a PO Box address. This happens way too frequently.

WebSell is easy to set up and manage. Whenever we need help, the team is also always there to support us and get things sorted.
Cons
Like any platform there are limits. Also we would love to be able to track orders more easily and send better notifications to customers.

Pros
I like how simple and user-friendly it is. Plus it teaches us how to use it so we can handle things on our own and their customer service is A++ whenever issues pop up.
Cons
A few things I noticed such as the development feels pretty slow and when I've asked for new features or updates, it either takes a really long time or comes with a high price tag. It would make more sense if those development costs were shared across all the users who would benefit, instead of just one customer having to pay for everything.

Pros
One thing I like is that it integrates with our current POS. Product setup is quick and easy too especially if you are already entering data into your POS system.
Cons
I am not a fan of the support system as it's all ticket-based instead of phone support. Also the checkout page options feel outdated and could be more user-friendly and customizable. Since we are in delivery, the tipping section for drivers is not ideal as it needs suggested tip amounts and better functionality.

Pros
It lets us extend our POS seamlessly online. If you are going digital, an integrated system is a must and I must say it is a fantastic option.
Cons
Although customer service is great when you reach them, it can be hard to get ahold of anyone and there is no phone support. Plus we cannot integrate popular features from sites like Shopify unless you pay extra.

Pros
The handiest feature is how the website integrates with our inventory software. I don't have to manually update pricing or stock levels. I also really like the PAM tool that comes with it.
Cons
It would be helpful to have a refresher course about a year after starting. I am sure we are not using all the features available.

“Plenty of features right out of the box
Pros
Right out of the box, it had plenty of features we wanted. Plus some we had not even thought of. Also the team is always ready to help and they are constantly rolling out new features.
Cons
While help files are available, it can be tricky to find the right one on your own. Most people can use the product easily but it might be challenging for those who are not as tech-savvy.
