“Works like excel and links directly”
Pros
it is really easy to use and it works much like excel when I enter results from our device. I am glad it also links directly with our machines.
Cons
Honestly it seems a little dated as I feel like it was built back in the 1990s.

“Customizable colors but feels outdated”
Pros
One thing I appreciate is that I can customize the colors to suit my preferences.
Cons
To be frank, I feel like pretty much everything is lacking as it's not very user-friendly and comes across as ancient compared to other software.

Pros
All the functionality is just awesome and the features for any practice are great.
Cons
It is hard to get used to it in the beginning maybe because the demo is not clear but once you figure it out, it is great.

“Unmanageable. Poor interface”
Pros
The staff is courteous but spotty and not very helpful.
Cons
The software design is inconceivable and difficult to navigate. It almost seems like the design was made by and in consideration with only engineers and not for anyone in the healthcare sector. The software is not instinctive, it takes several extra steps to get to a simple result. However extensive support staff they claim to have, there are everyday glitches in the system which they cannot seem to fix. You have to manually refresh the page to send and update the data. Simple tasks that would be the job of support staff require more man work and end in taking up time of the on-duty doctors.

“Overcharged, Disappointing Service”
Pros
good for writing progress reports
Cons
The user interface is complicated and difficult to work around, taking extra steps of confirmation and details to complete a simple task. Horrible and impractical user interface and experience layout. And to top that, their customer service could not have been more incompetent. for the entirety of the time that Cerner was being paid by our agency, more often than not, our IT team had no option but to work around the problems or make-do themselves since the support was inconsistent and negligent. Even after they have made claims of making advancements by allowing e-prescription renewal, it often does not work for controlled substances. Most of us have to re-issue a new prescription several times for controlled drugs. The system was a complete nightmare for me to work with, and I say that even though I have former training in UI/UX designs, I cannot imagine how other practitioners get any meaningful work done with it.

“An awkward and bug-ridden upgrade”
Pros
I thought it worked fine before the upgrade.
Cons
Since the upgrade, I have been frustrated as it's awkward to use, takes way too much time and is riddled with bugs that clearly still need fixing. The customer support has been awful too as nobody seems informed about what's going on and it feels like no one will accept responsibility.

“Broad options with helpful support”
Pros
Cerner used across many hospitals both in the laboratory and at the bedside for patient care and I personally found it easy to pick up and learn. Plus it offers a broad set of options for tasks and when issues arise the customer support team is helpful.
Cons
For me, the menu options feel a bit scattered which makes it confusing to tell the nursing-related items apart from the lab-related ones.

“An early innovator, now cluttered”
Pros
As an early adopter, I recognize they were among the first to innovate many eMAR features.
Cons
I found the system cluttered and slow, far from user friendly or well organized and I struggled to use it efficiently.

“Great for behavior tracking and reports”
Pros
I am a big fan of the Behavior evaluation and Intervention sections as when I run the Results Review it lets me pull up exactly what was documented and which interventions were applied and it generates a report I can bring to our Psychotropic Meetings.
Cons
My only real drawback is that there isn't an 'Other' option or a free-text field within the behaviors area, so I cannot select or record something more detailed or tailored when I need to track a behavior that's outside the predefined choices.

“Sorian offers newer, expanded tools”
Pros
I have worked with both Cerner's Sorian and its older Invision hospital systems. Both are pretty user-friendly but because Invision has been around longer, I found its layout and navigation quicker to pick up. Sorian being newer is a real advantage in my view since it offers expanded tools for adding notes and digging into patient accounts which I appreciate.
Cons
When I am using Invision, what bugs me is having to document everything line by line that method feels clunky and slows me down. I am also frustrated by the presence of insurance codes tied to patients coverage. Those codes complicate things and add another layer of confusion when I am trying to handle insurance details.

“Basic powerplans and simple charting”
Pros
the Powerplan setup is basic, charting is simple and the save feature works reliably. I can also use it with Dragon voice applications. Overall it feels user-friendly and the customer service has been really good.
Cons
I don't find the interface user friendly when trying to discover features and it can be really hard to locate the results I am looking for.

“Excellent for patient tracking!”
Pros
Patient tracking is super easy, their orders and history. It has helped me get organized as it organizes patient details and tests accordingly.
Cons
There arent any cons that have come in my notice, but just one thing Id like mention is that in the start I had troubles finding the reports or documents of patients when they were requested. However, with a few training sessions, it all became easy.

“All labs and orders in one place”
Pros
I am glad that all labs, orders and notes are kept in one place. Overall it is a huge help compared to having to sign into several different EMRs.
Cons
The setup frustrates me as other EMRs like ePIC feel far more user friendly and are easier to use, plus they integrate with a wider range of systems so outpatient and other clinic notes for each patient are available inside the same record.

“Tidy interface with snapshot views”
Pros
Using Cerner Powerchart, I appreciate how tidy and well-organized the interface is. What I really love is being able to view snapshot images of Vitals, Progress Notes and Labs/Imaging.
Cons
a lot of useful items are tucked away and hard to track down things like a patient's bowel movements, intake/output and the difference between vitals from the last 24 hours versus since midnight can be confusing to find. I also wish I could fully customize progress notes. For example, being able to quickly pull the last three or five sodium values would be great but that kind of shortcut seems only available for glucose. Older lab results are a pain to retrieve because I cannot type a test name like creatinine to search for it, instead I have to hunt for a Cr column to see all creatinine readings. I often end up clicking through five to seven screens just to reach what I need.

“Thoughtfully built for small practices”
Pros
For smaller practices, I have found Cerner PowerWorks to be thoughtfully built. As it helps simplify daily workflows. It also offers useful reporting tools and has enhanced my billing process which in turn has helped me get reimbursed more quickly.
Cons
I don't have many complaints but I would like Cerner to develop additional interface options to improve connectivity.

“Helpful built-in icd-10 codes”
Pros
What I find most helpful are the built-in ICD-10 diagnostic codes as I can pull up diagnoses much faster than flipping through a physical catalog or hunting across several websites.
Cons
it is confusing to use as the interface is not very user friendly and I have to click through too many steps for simple tasks. it also lacks customization and feels poorly suited for outpatient workflows.

“Flexible ways to accomplish tasks”
Pros
