“Simple and user-friendly interface”
Pros
I find the interface simple and user-friendly, offering several ways to create survey.
Cons
Although I thought the interface looked a bit dated at first, it has been refreshed since. Speaking from my experience both creating surveys and receiving them through SurveyMonkey, I feel the person sending surveys needs to be mindful of notice fatigue among recipients.

“A great tool for hospital use”
Pros
The system is extremely easy to learn. There is no extensive learning curve although, with proper training and implementation, you will be able to gain the most from all the different features and functions Cerner Powerchart offers. It is very helpful when you are charting patient’s vital signs, you can easily preview another without having to leave the keyboard which is easier when you need to enter a lot of different information into the patient’s chart. There has been so far no major issue with its working. The billing system works great. Information retrieval is very quick, all the data is stored in an organized order.
Cons
It is a little challenging at first getting used to the system. There are a lot of options and choices for everything. The same information is found in different categories and sections. Multiple tabs and symbols can be confusing if you haven’t any prior experience with advanced EHR software. Although, you eventually learn your way around the system and it proves to be very useful.

“Constant updates with no improvement”
Pros
Hardly anything positive. With so many updates constantly!, I expect it to improve, not stay the same or worsen.
Cons
I find it awkward to use and bogged down with too many unnecessary fields to sift through, plus updates that add little.

“Cerner”
Pros
The software is great, it is easy to learn and use. It has a lot of great features and I simply love it.
Cons
The one thing that I dont like about this software is its downtime, however, it isnt something that we can control.

“easy to get around after training”
Pros
Initially the interface felt a little intimidating, however after my instructor walked me through the features and I started working with it a couple of times each week, I found it pretty easy to get around.
Cons
To be honest, the very first time I opened the system I felt the layout was cluttered and overwhelming because there were so many tabs and options on the screen.

“Countless tailoring options by it”
Pros
I appreciated that Cerner could be tailored in countless ways by our IT team and they consistently created video walkthroughs whenever a new feature or customization was due to be released so staff could learn how to use it while doing their jobs at the facility.
Cons
The biggest frustration was how complex Cerner felt as more often than not I had to track down a coworker or an entire team to show me where a field or function lived so I could document information correctly.

“Lots of well-organized information, poor integration”
Pros
I love how much information you can enter and how well organized everything is. Being in the room with patients, I could quickly pull up demographics, medication lists and many other details in a timely fashion. It was also easy to capture their chief complaint or the reason they came in to address care needs.
Cons
What frustrated me most was how lab results felt separated from the main workflow, forcing me to repeatedly check back to find out whether the doctor or PA had signed off on them. The front office and the scheduling module felt disconnected as well. Often I found myself continuously refreshing my screen to confirm whether a patient had checked in. Sometimes the front desk showed a patient as checked in but it never appeared on our side. That part of the system badly needed tighter integration to run more efficiently. everyone in our office agreed that this software was not easy to teach new staff at all.

“Simpler eD work but frequent crashes”
Pros
While working in the emergency department transcribing electronic medical records, I found Cerner's eD system made my work significantly simpler by providing pre-populated templates and letting me store custom 'macros'. It was particularly helpful that most templates already had insertion points set up and I could tweak the templates when needed. I also value how diagnostic imaging and laboratory results can be populated into the patient's chart with just a few clicks which saved time during busy shifts. That automatic population reduces manual entry and speeds up documentation which I appreciated during high-volume periods.
Cons
I have experienced frequent system crashes with Cerner and there isn't any backup provided while it's down. I really wish there was a secondary access method available whenever the software fails. Working in an eR, it's especially problematic when patient names and charts don't sync across the system that causes major issues and seriously disrupts our workflow.

“Really easy with a natural layout”
Pros
Using Cerner is really easy. As after I got the hang of it it became second nature and I genuinely like how the layout is organized and user friendly.

“Far better than paper charting”
Pros
I have only ever documented patient care with Cerner, so I don't have a different electronic medical record to compare it to but from my point of view I still value having any EMR over paper charts. While many nurses and other healthcare professionals complain about the sometimes messy arrangement of menus, categories and modules, when I stack it up against paper charting it's hard not to appreciate the mere existence of electronic medical records. They feel much safer and more reliable, make organizing information simpler and really help when multiple disciplines need to coordinate care. For instance, physicians, respiratory therapists, techs and PT/OT can all record and access the same patient's documentation in one centralized spot and everyone can pull that information from wherever they are in the hospital because it's online instead of being bound to physical paperwork.
Cons
At times I am frustrated by how assessments and system categories are arranged as it often feels like there could be a more user friendly layout, even though I cannot exactly picture the perfect alternative. There are also occasions when the system forces me to enter a response instead of letting items remain blank which can be annoying. Additionally, some default settings don't seem well chosen as actual defaults, so I end up changing options more often than I'd like.

“A cluttered and frustrating nightmare”
Pros
I can barely find any positives like maybe the autotext option or the relief of walking out the door at the end of the day to escape this nightmare of misleading labels, icons and abbreviations, plus an extremely cluttered screen that demands studying hundreds of pages across at least two different manual versions because who actually has time for that?
Cons
Honestly everything frustrates me from the graphics and the overstuffed setup to the dozens of clicks and screen changes needed for one task. I mean it completely lacks basic simplicity for a busy clinician like me juggling patient care, not wrestling with Cerner data entry. I have never felt so powerless and annoyed, like a brand-new data entry clerk on their very first day at work.

“excellent eD data, lacks predictive analytics”
Pros
I have found it excellent for pulling together data that's practical for use in the eD and the tabbed views really help a lot. The support team is outstanding.
Cons
Overall it isn't as user friendly as I would prefer and I wish there were stronger predictive analytics plus more dashboard capabilities to help guide providers while they're caring for patients.

“Simpler charting without typing everything”
Pros
it makes charting a lot simpler and more detailed without forcing me to type out every little thing. I can just tap or click on what's relevant and move on. I also prefer it to deciphering messy handwriting or guessing unclear abbreviations.
Cons
I occasionally find it somewhat awkward to track down specific information. I was told my IT support could fix that by walking me through how to remove the sections I don't need to chart on or that aren't relevant to our unit.

“Incredibly helpful”
Pros
Cerner Powerchart has numerous functionalities that address all my issues impeccably. The functions center around enlistment, booking, patient locating and reporting. The administration is snappy and straightforward. All your needs being met in one spot. it allows an integrated work experience without having to switch between different services.
Cons
I cannot think of anything I find wrong with their services. Only, it would be favorable if they provided more training and conferences for clients to have a better understanding of the functions and how to navigate them. I would recommend them to emphasize more on marketing so more health practices can reap these amazing benefits.

“Love it!”
Pros
I was a member of the team that built the notes we are utilizing on our Cerner EMR in the hospital. The Cerner reps were extremely useful in the construct procedure and incorporating our requirements and adjusting bits from our paper reports into the EMR system. In considering the selection of Cerner, one should ensure you will get a contribution to the plan of your everyday EMR shapes and the help to change your data later on.
Cons
A portion of the workarounds are not effectively recognizable; some supposedly basic things are in some cases are unnecessarily twisted and complicated. At the point when a few issues have been recognized and submitted for answers to Cerner support, we are advised there is no real way to fix the given issue although other Cerner clients have shared the solutions in different discussions.

“A fast and centralized platform”
Pros
Cerner Practice Management offers a wide range of features that fit my needs perfectly. It concentrates on registration, scheduling, patient tracking and reporting. Overall I find the platform fast and easy to use. everything I need is centralized, so I do not have to hop between multiple tools. Cerner Practice Management really covers everything I require.
Cons
I honestly struggle to pinpoint anything I truly dislike about the system. If I could request one improvement, it would be adding more in-depth tutorials bundled with the product so I could navigate the platform more effectively and feel more confident using all of its features.

Pros
As an analyst who usually works in a different EMR, I actually find Cerner pretty user-friendly. As I am able to pick it up quickly whenever I have to use it.

“Incredibly comprehensive for charting”
Pros
I have found this program to be incredibly comprehensive for hospital charting. The assessment documentation moves in step with staff charting and when needed I can quickly add extra sections with a simple right-click which is really handy.
Cons
Because the system is so expansive, it can be overwhelming for some users. Personally I had trouble selecting a specific hospital or floor to bring up the patient list and I think that part of the interface could be made much more user friendly.

“Detail-oriented and well-organized”
Pros
What I like most about Cerner is how detail-oriented the software is. I rely on multiple modules inside Cerner every day and they are incredibly easy to use. Before we adopted this tool at my workplace we were using Meditech which felt much more cluttered. But this one feels much cleaner to me and I am a big fan of the AppBar as it places every tool I need beneath a single toolbar. To my mind it is very well organized. I also trust that it is built to handle the strict privacy rules that come with healthcare work. Overall, it just gives me a strong sense of security.
Cons
So far, I cannot say there's anything I actively dislike about Cerner. The one small irritation I have is that you need to authenticate every time you open a different module within Cerner. For instance, I sign in to use PowerChart. If I have to jump over to the RCI revenue cycle module for another task, I am prompted to log in again. That can slow me down when I am trying to move quickly and toggle between systems. Ultimately it's a very tiny annoyance though, because once I have logged into each module during a session I tend to remain signed in and can switch among them without any further fuss.
