support is hands on

Pros

User flow is simple and once you're familiar with it, everything feels pretty effortless. I really appreciate that it's web based since I can log in from anywhere instead of being tied to one device. The page layout also looks clean and organized which makes it easier to find what I need. I've contacted support a few times while figuring things out and they've been quick to respond and genuinely helpful. Also, the help section is packed with useful information so I'm not constantly waiting for answers. Overall, I'm very happy with the software.

Cons

A few parts are mildly annoying while I'm still learning but they're not deal breakers. One thing that trips me up is that some pages require you to save before moving to the next step, while other pages auto save when you're rushing, it's easy to complete a long encounter form and then forget that particular page needs manual saving. I'd also like more control over the text message reminders so the content can be customized instead of sticking to what's currently sent. It would help if the online intakes worked better on phones since about half of my patients try opening the email on mobile and then stop when it doesn't function properly. I've occasionally run into timeouts or freezes if the connection slows down but it hasn't happened enough to be a major issue. Finally, the scheduling area could be clearer, depending on where/how you click a name, it either opens the appointment or jumps to the patient profile and clicking the wrong way is frustrating. A visual cue or icon showing what will happen when you click would make navigation much less stressful especially during a busy week when you're learning the system at the same time.

Web-based and very helpful

Pros

After learning how the workflow is set up, it becomes pretty simple to use. I really like that it's web-based because I can log in from anywhere and the pages themselves look clean, clear and well organized. I've reached out to support a few times while figuring things out and they've always replied very quickly and been genuinely helpful. The help section is also packed with useful information which has made the learning process a lot better. Overall, I'm very happy with the software.

Cons

While I'm still learning the system, there are a few things that feel a bit frustrating and that I'd love to see improved though none of them are deal breakers. I'm hoping some of these get addressed over time with updates. One thing that trips me up is that some pages require you to save manually before moving on, while others save automatically. If I'm moving fast, it's easy to enter all my findings, finish a long encounter form, click to the next tab and then realize that particular page needed to be saved first. I also wish there were more flexibility with the text message reminders so I could customize what gets sent out. Another issue is that the online intake forms don't work well on cell phones and about half of my patients try opening the email on their phone and then just give up when it doesn't work. From time to time, I also run into the site timing out or the connection slowing down enough that things freeze although it hasn't been too severe so far. My last complaint is that the scheduling section could be clearer. Depending on exactly where you click, a patient's name will either open the appointment or take you to the patient profile which is really frustrating when you misclick. Some kind of icon or clearer visual indicator showing where to click would help a lot. Even with those issues, I do genuinely like the software. There are just little quirks you have to learn and once you do, it gets much more manageable but trying to learn it during a busy week was definitely a bit cumbersome.

Billing headaches

Pros

Whenever I reached out, the support team responded pretty quickly and genuinely tried to help however they could with whatever issue came up.

Cons

Even with how willing they were to assist, they didn't always have an actual fix for the problem. Billing kept being a recurring frustration especially with Office Ally. The electronic EOBs were not always entered correctly which left us having to manually input them ourselves to fix the errors.

top notch!

Pros

I really enjoy how quick it is to fill out soap notes everything feels organized. The save draft option is a huge help since it keeps reminding me which notes still need attention. The scheduling view is also useful because it shows which soap notes are complete versus incomplete so nothing gets missed. I also appreciate that exams and soap notes can be customized to fit how we work. Best of all, the cloud based setup is Mac and Windows friendly and my files are available from any device as long as there's an internet connection.

Cons

One limitation is that the schedule time intervals can't be customized so you're stuck with 10 minute blocks which slows things down when we're trying to book appointments quickly. When adding a new patient, you have to enter more details up front than expected before you can actually place them on the schedule. The billing tab is another area that feels awkward to navigate. There's also no nickname field just first and last name and it would be helpful to add middle name/suffix for patients with Sr./Jr. style distinctions. Since we work remotely often, a dedicated mobile app is starting to feel necessary. Right now, scheduling on a phone is difficult enough that we end up using a separate scheduling tool for the CF scheduler and then we have to transfer all patients into the Chirofusion schedule later before they arrive.

flexible notes and cloud access

Pros

The save draft option is especially helpful because it reminds me which notes still need attention. I also appreciate that the schedule shows which SOAP notes are finished and which ones are still incomplete so it's easier to keep track of everything. Another big advantage is how customizable the exams and SOAP notes are. My favorite part though, is that it's cloud-based, works well on both Mac and Windows and lets me access files from any device as long as there's an internet connection.

Cons

The scheduler could use a lot more flexibility especially with time intervals since they're locked into 10-minute blocks which makes booking appointments less efficient for staff. Adding a new patient also takes longer than it should because too much information has to be entered before the patient can even be placed on the schedule. The billing tab is also not very simple to work through. It would help to have a nickname field instead of only first and last name and even middle name and suffix options would be useful since we have several Sr. and Jr. patients. Because we work remotely so often, a mobile app really feels necessary now. At the moment, we have to rely on different software for scheduling since the ChiroFusion scheduler is too difficult to use on a mobile device. That ends up creating extra work because every patient then has to be transferred back into the ChiroFusion schedule before they come in.

billing efficiency and simple workflow

Pros

Handling billing takes much less time with ChiroFusion and it really improves how efficiently I can keep track of prior authorizations. The system is simple to learn so getting comfortable with it didn't take long.

Cons

One thing that caught me off guard was learning that each provider comes with a separate charge. I also wasn't expecting such long gaps between training sessions because of ChiroFusion's scheduling which slowed down the process of getting fully integrated.

Custom intake setup win

Pros

Getting our intake forms customized only took about an hour even with separate versions for pediatrics and pregnancy. It was very simple to set up. Compared with Future Health which was awful and made form updates or changes cost hundreds in extra apps, this has been a huge improvement. I have not used the system extensively yet but everything looks excellent so far and if I run into any issues later I can always update my rating.

Helpful tutorials and support

Pros

Every task in ChiroFusion comes with a tutorial video which makes learning the system much easier. And whenever I've had extra questions, getting answers has been quick and simple.

Cons

The setup scheduling took more time than I expected. I assumed I'd have access the day after I called but the process ended up taking longer than that.

affordable fit for small practices

Pros

For a small practice like mine, the price is hard to beat. I just can't justify paying for an expensive EHR or dealing with a big learning curve and this software solves both of those problems.

Cons

One thing I'd still like to see is more customization for the exam and SOAP forms, along with a body diagram model. Even with that, it still has everything I need and lets me finish my work in about a quarter of the time.

my favorite pick

Pros

Working in chiropractic since 2002 first as a CA, then as a DC and having run three clinics over the past decade, I've used a dozen plus chiropractic EHRs. ChiroFusion is the best by far. Scheduling is excellent, including the ability to tell from the schedule view whether a SOAP has been completed. The built in text and email reminders for appointments are super useful and handling extra charges for cash services or products feels simple. I also appreciate the customization options for write offs/adjustments, where you can record positives or negatives for whatever reason you need. Claims processing and refiling are genuinely effortless and the patient reporting is simple while still covering whatever reports you may want. The patient dashboard is a standout feature for me. It shows the patient picture and you can upload images like X rays as JPGs and have them display directly in the dashboard handy for ROFs. SOAPs are also the quickest and cleanest workflow I've seen in any EHR I've tried. The task manager keeps everything organized without extra hassle. I'm honestly that happy with the software. After switching to ChiroFusion back in March 2017 for my own clinic, I encouraged other DCs to make the move too. The onboarding training was the icing on the cake by far the best training I've gone through. The help desk is great for real time training questions as you work, accessible instantly from within ChiroFusion without having to call, schedule or jump to another site. Since it's cloud based (which I consider essential), it fits how clinics need to operate today. I'm a forever ChiroFusion fan thank you!

excellent chirofusion support and billing

Pros

Overall, I'm really happy with the system. Our office has gone through three other chiropractic EHR platforms over the last 16 years and we've sat through countless demos. None of those tools were perfect but Chirofusion has consistently stood out as the strongest option for us and it's worked well over the years. The interface feels simple while still being efficient and it helps organize a lot of the everyday office workflows which definitely keeps the team content. Another big win is that the clearinghouse is built right into the software and included at no extra cost. That has made billing and claim management a lot less painful for our billing staff since there's no need to upload claims to an outside clearinghouse. Support is also a huge reason we've kept using it. The team is available basically anytime late evenings and even weekends and when we call with questions, Melinda and Bonnie are always pleasant and genuinely helpful. I'd recommend Chirofusion to any chiropractic practice looking for solid EHR software.

Cons

It would be helpful if we could hide or remove features we don't use so some screens stay less cluttered. I'd also like to see online scheduling added down the road.

Best chiropractic EHR by far

Pros

After working in chiropractic since 2002 first as a CA and now as a DC who has owned three clinics over the past decade, I've used well over a dozen chiropractic EHR systems and ChiroFusion stands out as the best of them all. The scheduling is excellent and being able to tell right from the schedule view whether a SOAP note has been completed is incredibly helpful. The text and email appointment reminders are a huge plus and adding extra charges for cash services or products is very simple. I also really appreciate how customizable the write-offs are, whether I need to adjust them positively or negatively for any reason. Claims submission and refiling are incredibly simple and the reporting is both user-friendly and comprehensive enough to cover whatever reports are needed. The patient dashboard is one of my favorite features because it displays the patient photo and lets you upload images like X-rays as JPGs which makes it a fantastic tool for ROFs. The SOAP notes are the fastest and best I've ever worked with and the task manager is another feature I absolutely value. I've been so happy with this software that after switching my own clinic to ChiroFusion in March 2017, I started recommending it to my fellow DCs as well. The onboarding training was outstanding, easily the best I've gone through and the Help Desk has been amazing for ongoing support and training. Being able to access real-time help with one click from inside ChiroFusion, without having to call, schedule anything or go to another website, makes a huge difference. It's also cloud-based which I consider essential. I'm a longtime ChiroFusion supporter and couldn't be more satisfied with it.

Cons

No complaints at all.

reliable support and integrated billing

Pros

After working with three other chiropractic EHR systems over the last 16 years and sitting through countless demos, ChiroFusion has been the best option we've used by far. None of the platforms have been perfect but this one has served our office really well over the years. The interface is simple while still being efficient and it streamlines a lot of everyday office tasks which has made things easier on our staff. Another big plus is that the clearinghouse is built right into the software at no extra cost. That has made billing and claims much more convenient for our billing team since they don't have to upload claims into a separate external clearinghouse. One of the biggest reasons we value this company so much is the support. They're genuinely available whenever help is needed even late at night and on weekends. Melinda and Bonnie have both been incredibly helpful and are always pleasant whenever we call with questions. I would absolutely recommend ChiroFusion to anyone searching for chiropractic office software.

Cons

A few screens could be cleaner if there were a way to remove features we don't use. I'd also really like to see online scheduling added at some point in the future.

waste of time and money

Pros

There really wasn't anything positive about it.

Cons

Using this software felt extremely cumbersome and time-consuming from the start. It gives the impression that everything is included but once they take your money, you find out almost nothing actually is. We realized in less than a week that it was not going to work for us so we contacted customer service and the rep was very unpleasant to deal with. Even though we had only paid for about 6 days of access, never used it for a single patient and only completed one training, we did not get any refund at all. Our chiropractic assistant has experience with ChiroFusion and another software platform and she was shocked by how inferior this one was in so many ways compared to the other system she had used. It also took more than twice as long to enter patient information and SOAP notes. My advice is to stay away from ChiroFusion. There is probably a reason they do not offer a free trial. They make data transfer sound simple, like you just send everything over and they handle it but after you pay, they suddenly tell you what they charge for those services and that most practices end up doing the transfer work themselves. After less than a week, it was obvious this software was a complete waste of both time and money and they still refused to refund anything.

Everything chiropractors need

Pros

From day one, ChiroFusion has been incredibly simple to use. The support team is outstanding, the pricing stays affordable and it includes and automates pretty much every feature a chiropractor could need. Once a patient is entered into the system, we can go from documenting SOAP notes to submitting a claim in less than three minutes.. we've actually timed it.

Cons

Honestly I don't really have any complaints. Anytime an issue comes up, support responds quickly and when you suggest something they see value in, ChiroFusion will often add it within about a month.

integrated billing that delivers

Pros

Having automated claim creation and payment posting saves a lot of time and the built-in clearinghouse keeps everything connected in one system. The support team has also been consistently friendly and knowledgeable whenever we've needed help. It works well for both cash-based and insurance-based practices which makes it a very flexible option.

Cons

Since we handle a high volume of billing accounts, it would be even better if all of them could be managed from one central location.

Pros

It's built with chiropractic practices in mind which is a plus.

Cons

Customization is very restricted since only the consent forms can be changed. You can leave out certain questions but there's no way to edit the existing ones or add new questions. Another frustration is that they won't refund any unused portion of the service.

Pros

Right away, the customer support has been excellent and the software is very user-friendly. The price is reasonable and they keep rolling out new features over time. They recently added online patient registration and that has been a really helpful addition.
