It is very easy for us to create records and update them. We did not have any trouble setting up and they helped us with the switch.
Cons
It is difficult to change the fields in forms and some employees have had trouble logging in. They also increase the price without any substantial updates.

Creating different categories like diabetic, emar, etc., is not a problem anymore. All credit goes to Matrix.
Cons
Lack of new message notifications because of this you have to manually check messages daily instead of having a visual indicator for new messages.

I am quite familiar with the software now, more so than with other systems. I utilize reports for data collection but need to manually convert them to charts due to the lack of a functional data system within Matrix.
Cons
The high cost of add-ons limits our access to them. Care assist is an improvement over the previous MAR setup but there are still aspects that could be customized at the facility level.

I have many positive experiences with MatrixCare Software. It is highly reliable, with almost no downtime I cannot recall the last time it was offline, probably over 18 months for our facilities. Communication about product enhancements is excellent, and the help desk staff is always friendly and helpful when I reach out with questions. The CCD for resident transfers to the hospital covers all essential documentation for safe transfers. Printing client records and resident documents is incredibly easy, just a few of the things I truly appreciate about the system.
Cons
Adding features to the wish list can take a considerable amount of time before being implemented in an upgrade.

I feel confident navigating most areas within MatrixCare. The dashboard is my favorite feature, allowing me to access different aspects of care with ease. The grid box in the upper left corner is handy for quickly finding the areas/categories of care I use most frequently.
Cons
Pop-up windows interrupting note-taking and observations are frustrating. Also observations closing when adding progress notes without saving is a notable inconvenience.

I am disappointed with several aspects of the software: 1. Promised fixes, like phone number formatting, have not been implemented even after almost 8 years. 2. Adding pharmacies is not as simple as adding physicians. 3. Numerous mandated fields are unnecessary, causing time wastage. 4. Customizing billing scripts requires unnecessary effort. 5. Inability to sort reports efficiently is inconvenient. 6. Default date settings on reports are not user-friendly. 7. The terminology used by MatrixCare is outdated. 8. The software lacks tailored features for assisted living, with terminology and medication management geared towards nursing homes. 9. In hindsight, I regret choosing MatrixCare for assisted living.
