“Customizable and easy

Pros

The customization options makes it user-friendly and we are using it since the last few months. Our organization is large and it handles everything very well.

Cons

It is too bright and can cause a strain on the eyes.

It easy to check in new patients and upload files to the portal by scanning them. We can customize according to our internal protocols.

It does not allow me to copy scanned reports to a different tab.

Pros

I like how presentable the dashboard is and I can easily view the information I want at a glance. There are customization options that let us color code different groups for our convenience.

Cons

Some categories were not explained during the training and they still confuse me. I have to click several times just to open up a module.

It integrates EHR with scheduling and billing.

The reporting is comprehensive but messy and difficult to export to Excel.

One problem that I have with MEDENT EMR is that you can not move scanned reports from one tab to another.

Its customer support and ease of use make it so worth it. I hardly have any issues, but when I do, their customer support is right there to fix it.

Medent was very easy to use for billing. The layout was clear which makes it easy to see what was paid and what was not. I also found it simple to enter messages for the doctor in a patient's chart, whether it was a patient question or a refill request. I particularly enjoyed how easy it was to view everything in a patient's chart once I was in it.

Cons

I did not like that when I entered a very large EOB from an insurance company, it did not keep a running tally of the payment, although this might have changed since I last used it.

“Mednet is a Great software package!!

Pros

I find the customer service to be fantastic! The software is very easy to use and user-friendly. The features are a lifesaver with quick and easy downloading of EFTs, submitting statements to patients and filing electronic claims. The EMR is excellent as well.

Cons

The only downside is that when I call for assistance, I have to leave my information and wait for a return call. Although the return call is usually quick and prompt, I have to wait if I need immediate help.

“Easy to use EMR software

Pros

Medent simplifies scheduling and managing medical records for me. I have not used the billing features, so I cannot comment on those.

Cons

I wish there were a way to upload radiology studies from CDs into Medent. This would make it much easier for our doctors to access radiology studies.

Pros

After using other EMRs, I discovered Medent following a merger with a larger multi-specialty group. I struggled daily with Traknet for years and the thought of learning a new EMR was daunting. However, Medent has proven to be very easy to use and reliable. Their customer service has been excellent and highly responsive. I highly recommend Medent.

I am finding it challenging to learn the shortcuts and get accustomed to a new EMR.

It integrates EMR/EHR processes seamlessly. From patient registration to appointments, superbills and reports, each step works flawlessly with the others.

We discovered that some reports we needed were not available to help follow up on accounts receivables.

It is very cost-effective to operate. For 5 providers and 15 workstations in the office, including a complete EMR and billing system, the costs are excellent. The support is outstanding and they are very conscious of practice costs. They also provide great assistance with meeting meaningful use and other quality metrics.

Cons

Weekend support is poor. Updates are slow to be released. Programming errors take a long time to fix. Prescription writing has recently worsened, with slow improvements in functionality.
