Both the providers and care managers of ours really like the user-friendly features of MEDENT.
Cons
We have found this product to be really unstable. The lack of consistency in daily use is a big concern for both providers and care managers. This instability really affects our providers while they’re trying to attend to their patients. Plus the support from Medent has been very poor too.

I found Medent super easy to use for billing. The layout is great as it allows me to quickly see what's been paid and what hasn't. It is also easy to jump into a patient's chart and leave a message for the doctor, whether it is a patient question or a refill request. Honestly, I really enjoyed the layout of a patient's chart as here everything is so clear and easy to see!

We find it pretty simple to use but to the certain point. Also it is easy for the physicians to use too, but it can be tough on the back office staff.
Cons
It has not been modernized and does not integrate well with add-on software, which turned out to be very costly for us. Plus no one answers the phone and it takes forever to get a response. They do not handle troubleshooting updates well and do not answer the phone after pushing updates live. The list of issues goes on.

The reports are okay. I can print out the providers schedules, which helps me remember to tell the staff to cancel appointments. But I have to cut and paste everything into a Word document so I don't waste paper and can change the font size because everything that prints out is super tiny and hard to read!
Cons
Have to talk about the support! They only work banker's hours, so not before 8, not after 5 and they are not available during lunch, on weekends or holidays. If you run a healthcare business, this is not the EMR for you. And do not even get me started on scheduling. Like this EMR was definitely not designed to make it easy to adjust an ever-changing provider schedule. The prescription management is a joke too. There is no easy way to keep track of what is been filled and I've seen multiple mistakes happen. When a refill request comes in, it often looks like the prescription has already been filled at first glance, which is really dangerous.
