Cons

Our Genetics Laboratory, specializing in PGX & CGX testing, needed a robust billing system that could be implemented in less than sixty days and was cost-effective. The Premier Medic's system allows for simple explosion codes, enabling us to bill many CPT codes per patient correctly. Many systems we reviewed were not designed for a Laboratory environment. The system was installed quickly, and training was conducted remotely by knowledgeable ADS staff. There is a wide variety of management reports, and the system allows us to customize them with little or no IT experience.
Cons
Our lab chose to start fresh by building many of our existing databases. There was a slight learning curve with all the additional data fields, but we completed the database entry in about a week.

Cons

We're still new to the product, but the reports module allows us to get very detailed with our company billing data. We can customize and run any report we need. The data availability at our fingertips is impressive. Additionally, the support from the company has been exceptional the team has been extremely responsive.
Cons
There's a lot to learn about the software, and it can be overwhelming, but the extensive data availability is worth it.

I've worked with Advanced Data Systems' PM and EHR systems for over 17 years. The flexibility of Medics Premier is fantastic. All my users were trained quickly, and they loved how intuitive the system is. It's very easy to navigate between patients and accounts without closing the current window. It maintains the old concept of a chart view with easy-to-read Tabs in the demographic screen and ledger view. The robust financial reports within Medics Premier provide a great view of your revenue forecast and claims status. These reports can be pulled in various ways depending on your needs. This was a great ROI decision. I highly recommend ADS for your PM and EHR needs.
Cons
The referring physician section needs improvement. When adding a new referring physician, the "Add from List" button often fails to work, which hinders data entry workflow. This is the only significant issue I have with the system.

“Costumer Service staff is great! but once they call to resolve an issue, most of the time they don't know how to resolve. Most of the time they have to get back to us.”
Pros
I Acknowledge not having to fill in different tabs on patient demographics. Being able to print bills and letters and save them as PDFs is very convenient.
Cons
We can't generate adequate reports for our practice or fix our own custom forms. A major drawback is having to constantly ensure the insurance order is correct, or the HCFA forms won't print. Overall, I'm not very satisfied with this new system.

The posting procedure is smooth and uncomplicated. Generating records for new patients is simple, although the system lacks alerts for duplicate entries, and there's no option to delete duplicates.
Cons
We can't effectively look up mental health benefits, despite assurances that we could. We can't use the product for payroll due to frequent inaccuracies with ERH payments. Submitting claims is not the "push of a button" we were promised, but rather a 27-step process (yes, we counted). Customer service is inconsistent, some representatives are conscientious and helpful, while others are hard to understand or apathetic. At one point, the system was down for two days, and none of our calls or multiple email requests for help were answered.

I'm grateful for the simplicity of entering data. Our first submission was completed yesterday, so my exposure is limited. Nonetheless, everything has been excellent thus far. From Larry in sales to John who provided training and Marisol who aided with the submission, everyone has been exceptional!
Cons
I haven't encountered any issues so far. Whenever I have a question, I either call or email and receive a quick response. If this level of service continues, you will undoubtedly be recognized as the best in customer service!
