hospice focused and valuable

Pros

It's useful, valuable and very user friendly. I also appreciate that it's designed only for hospice since that makes it feel more relevant to what we need.

Cons

The downside is having to submit tickets and then wait for a reply. I'd rather be able to speak with someone over the phone since that's a much better way for me to communicate.

above-and-beyond hospice support

Pros

Right from the start the team has gone above and beyond for our hospice. Through setup, training and billing they have been incredibly helpful at every single stage. There are plenty of EHR options out there but I honestly can't picture another company being this supportive and hands on.

Cons

One thing I'd still like to see is built in faxing at some point. I'm also hoping they add an integration with PCC.

Pros

Patient lookup is easy and adding different teams under one business unit works well.

Cons

Charting didn't feel use friendly and care plans wouldn't auto fill from assessment documentation. Personalizing care plans was frustrating and you really had to know exactly what you were looking for and where to go to document it. Bedside documentation wasn't possible and the reports were limited and missing important details.

Pros

The reports are something I really enjoy and the system is very user friendly. Customer service replies quickly and it's a big advantage that they even customize our forms for us.

Cons

It does get buggy from time to time but they're usually very quick to sort it out.

Pros

Nursing documentation supports very thorough charting which helps capture everything clearly and completely.

Cons

Communication with other integrated systems can be unreliable at times so collaborration is not always as good as it should be.

Pros

Having a mobile version is a major advantage. It feels easy to use and it looks like more useful features are on the way.

fast charting

Pros

Charting has become really quick and the system is easy to use with a layout that's easy to figure out.

Cons

Making edits isn't always convenient and fixing an issue can take a lot of steps unless you have admin access.

Frequent delays

Pros

Getting around the software is simple and the interface feels user friendly overall. When problems come up the IT team is helpful and responsive.

Cons

Frequent delays, trouble with HVC file corruption, problems when entering or updating physician orders and ongoing screen refresh issues are some of the drawbacks it has.

helpful support and useful charting

Pros

System is easy the support technicians are very helpful whenever assistance is needed and having palliative care charting available is a real benefit.

Cons

There is no graphing available for tracking trends like vitals and the mobile app does not support charting when offline.

customizable

Pros

Easy and user friendly layout so getting around the system feels uncomplicated. Having a dedicated account rep is great because they can step in and advocate for our needs right away. I also appreciate that the software is editable and flexible enough to be customized as we go when changes are needed.

Cons

A frustrating part has been the glitches in some of the reporting which end up causing delays, errors and extra work. The forms also include too many questions that are not especially useful which creates more work for clinicians than necessary. On mobile there is no access to attachments and it also lacks the HBC feature that lets users review other notes side by side with current work. Another issue is that it does not integrate well with our PBM since clinical data like medication profiles cannot be transferred over.

Simpe layout

Pros

Accessing and using the software is easy, the program is enjoyable to use and the icons are simple to spot when I need them.

Cons

It can take a while to load at times but aside from that I really haven't had any issues.

mobile access is a standout

Pros

Working with with this software doesn't take long and showing other people how to use it is just as easy. The mobile feature has been my favorite part by far.

Cons

One thing I'd really like to see added is an automatic reminder on the desktop version to sync patients.

Pros

There really isn't much to praise here. If I have to point to one positive it would be that the Admin and Clinical functions are split into two separate programs. That at least helps prevent people who don't need access to clinical information from seeing it. Still that setup creates its own share of frustrations.

Cons

Using it is frustrating because the interface is terrible and it's missing basic things like input masks for dates. Even the one benefit I mentioned turns into a drawback since the Admin and Clinical systems don't communicate well with each other. For example if a patient is admitted on a Tuesday evening that patient does not show up on my reports until Thursday morning. Another serious problem is that the clinical side depends on an outdated version of Firefox and updating Firefox will break the software. That creates an obvious security risk. Meanwhile the admin side runs in Google Chrome and handles updates much better.

touchscreen friendly and practical

Pros

Using it on our touchscreen laptops has been really convenient and it makes entering information much simpler.

Cons

At times the entry I need isn't available as one of the preset options so I have to spend extra time figuring out a workaround for that limitation.

reliable hospice-focused platform

Pros

Compared with other systems I've reviewed this one feels much more built around hospice care. It's easy to work with and has been very dependable when it comes to meeting Federal and State regulations.

Cons

From a surveyors perspective though it isn't very user friendly. Printing charts or pulling up a timeline a surveyor asks for can take too long. I've also run into a few problems where visits didn't appear in the record or patients were missing on the mobile side when employees needed to document their visits.

quick charting saves time

Pros

Starting off with this software was quick and it didn't take long to learn how to use it. The quick charting feature has been the biggest advantage for me because it saves time and lets me focus more on patient care.

Cons

There are a lot of updates and I'm not always sure what changes they include but overall it's still pretty good.

More than anything I appreciate how responsive the software is to users along with how well it keeps up with constantly changing regulations.

Cons

User friendly

Pros

Every day I use it to enter patient information and manage orders and the patient data entry process is very easy. Overall the software feels user friendly even for someone who is new to EMR systems. Some of our nurses also use it on their iPads which makes it very convenient and portable.

Cons

Order entry can occasionally be a little challenging but it's only a minor issue.

bedside visits feel more personal

Pros

Using the app on my ipad has been an advantage. It makes bedside visits feel much less impersonal than bringing along a large laptop and I also use it on my phone.

Cons

A downside is that on the ipad I can't use the app offline.
