“Quick progress notes but lacks tablet support
Pros
One thing I really like is that I can quickly and simply keep track of progress notes and homework assignments without any fuss.
Cons
There are not many built-in reminder options to help make sure clinicians don't accidentally miss entering a note or overlook an overdue balance. I also find there is no way to clearly mark appointments as missed, late cancel or cancelled which makes tracking tricky. Customer support is serviceable but I often do not get a reply until the next day. Finally the app needs much better tablet integration as I would really like the ability to share my iPad screen during sessions.

“Values scheduling, portal, billing, document access
Pros
Scheduling, the client portal, billing and document accessibility are features I value highly. We were looking for a solution to get away from paper files and to give both our OTs and clients easier, faster access to records. We also needed a platform that makes it simple for our OTs to organise client sessions and write clinical notes without hassle. As overall I am very pleased with My Best Practice as we became more comfortable using the software and built a working relationship with customer support, many problems have either been fixed or we've found practical workarounds for them.
Cons
I've noticed the system comes with a steep learning curve and like many multi-purpose platforms it tries to serve so many different practices that it doesn't feel tailor-made for our company. There are features we never use and there are missing elements that would genuinely make our day to day experience smoother. Also the software can be glitchy at times and some parts aren't very user friendly. Honestly it desperately needs a thorough user manual and a set of step by step video tutorials. It would also help a lot to have a dedicated user's guide for the client portal.

“Routine outcome measures, cleaner layout
Pros
When we switched to My Best Practice, we were most excited about the routine outcome measures and the ability to build custom survey schedules for different groups. It has all the key features we used in SimplePractice but the layout is cleaner and easier to use. Also there is no clutter from rarely-used tools, so our daily work flows more smoothly. Clients also tell us the client portal is simple and user friendly.
Cons
Moving our data from SimplePractice did require extra time and hands-on effort from our practice manager to make sure everything migrated correctly. We ran into a few hiccups but the support team was highly responsive and guided us through the process, helping wherever they could until the migration was complete.

“Likes progress note auto-fill and alerts
Pros
As a clinician, what I like most is the progress note layout especially the auto-fill options that support evidence-based practice and help me track clinical data and stay consistent. Billing is simple too and the calendar with alerts makes scheduling easy. The software is very user friendly and integrated into my practice without any issues. I'd strongly recommend it to anyone starting a practice or switching from paper or another EHR. Migration was fast and smooth. Absolutely worth it.
Cons
I have noticed the recent client portal redesign looks much better overall but I wish it had a slightly more polished visual look.

“incredibly useful, saves time and hassle
Pros
I've found the software incredibly useful and user-friendly as it consolidates everything a private practice needs into a logical, efficient workflow that saves me time and reduces hassle.
Cons
To be honest I have not come across any real drawbacks so far. But if I had to suggest one improvement, I'd love to see a monthly calendar view added so I can get a broader look at appointments and scheduling.

“Simplifies appointments, billing, documentation
Pros
What I like most about this program is how it simplifies managing appointments, billing clients and documenting therapy notes. The rollout went smoothly since the calendar organizes our daily workflow and that setup feels natural for our practice.
Cons
I am really eager to try the platform's built-in video feature. My staff rely on video calls being fully functional on their smartphones which they prefer to use.

“great session notes
Pros
Using My Best Practice has been easy for me when it comes to keeping session notes up to date and monitoring homework and overall progress. I'm really fond of the homework and next agenda tools because they help me stay organized with treatment planning. Plus the Telehealth option is simple to run and I can easily jot down notes in real time during virtual appointments without missing a beat.
Cons
Well I wish the app offered more methods to measure client progress like simple 1 to 10 rating scales and built-in questionnaires because that would make tracking outcomes and changes between sessions much clearer and more actionable.

“meets practice needs
Pros
I've been using MBPractice for over three years now. Switching to their system was pretty easy and there were always people available to answer questions and offer help. Plus it continues to meet our practice's needs, covering everything from charting and documentation to communicating with patients.
Cons
Umm I have not yet fully integrated the e-prescribing feature into our workflow but it is on me. Right?

“Really easy & reliable
Pros
It is really easy to use and I can reliably access it. And the system almost never fails. Plus it keeps everything together in one place for patient documentation, billing and scheduling.
Cons
At times I struggled with customizing the setup and there was a noticeable initial learning curve to find and navigate the most important features.
