Love fast support, issues resolved quickly

Pros

I love the support as they respond fast. As we no longer wait days for fixes so my team stays on track and gets issues resolved quickly without falling behind.

Cons

Would love to have a dedicated area where I can access past patient notes with a single click so I don't have to dig through records and can quickly review previous entries when prepping for appointments.

Pros

The software is user friendly. I must say it was developed by some of the leading psychologists in the field and it understands us in a way that no other company seems to be able to.

Cons

There is nothing negative to report as I consider it an outstanding product and truly have no complaints at all.

easy setup and no unnecessary features

Pros

Setting up the system was easy and stress-free. Plus it has no unnecessary features but just what I need to get things done. Also the team has listened and acted on nearly all my requests. Overall it's made my job much simpler both as an owner and a therapist.

Cons

I notice slower loading times and the mobile app experience doesn't match the desktop version in quality or convenience. As several functions require multiple clicks or steps before I can access them which becomes frustrating during regular use.

evolved, faster, more capable

Pros

Over the time I have used MBP I've watched it evolve and grow steadily. It's become noticeably faster and more capable as the months go by. Plus I find it quicker and easier to operate now. Very user friendly too!

Cons

The documentation area needs improvement so selections behave more reliably, load quicker and so that any options I pick actually stick around.

excellent for scheduling, billing, notes

Pros

MBP has proven to be an excellent program for handling scheduling and keeping clinical notes. It's become a key part of how I manage appointments and keep my practice organized and I genuinely consider it a top pick!

Cons

Setting custom billing date ranges can be trickier than it ought to be and that frustrates me sometimes.

comprehensive and integrated

Pros

In our practice, My Best Practice stands out as one of the most comprehensive, integrated EHR systems I have used and it has genuinely helped us strengthen both administration and practice management. We can maintain and access patient medical records reliably, automate scheduling and appointment reminders and communicate with patients without friction. Plus it has been incredibly helpful for evidence-based treatment planning and supports the smooth use of customizable electronic clinical questionnaires and intake forms. Those tools have proven essential for monitoring patient treatment progress and for applying care with intention. Overall it has become a rewarding resource that has enhanced our clinical workflows and administrative processes.

Cons

They are very responsive and willing to work with us to add features that help our workflows. So no complaints to share.

Phenomenal auto-text

Pros

Our practice has found the auto-text note-taking feature to be phenomenal. It's delivered the most significant boost to our efficiency and has saved us a huge amount of time. We also really like how simple billing is now, processed nightly something we used to do by hand before.

Cons

I've noticed there is not a single, consistent place for each client to view all their session notes. So I have to go into the calendar to find them. Also when I open a document it downloads before it appears instead of showing up immediately.

most user-friendly and reliable EHR

Pros

Honestly what stands out most to me is how user friendly My Best Practice is to use. As after working with a number of EHR systems over the years, I consistently find this one to be the most user-friendly and reliable for my workflow.

Cons

At the moment I cannot think of any features or areas of the software that leave me dissatisfied. Means nothing immediately comes to mind as a weakness.

easily customizable

Pros

I really like how user-friendly this software is and how easily I can customize the program to fit the specific needs of our practice.

Cons

In my experience I do not feel any core functionality is missing but I do think a bit of refinement on a few areas would improve things. For instance because clients may be linked to several providers it would be better if the client portal showed the list of their providers rather than repeating the client's name in multiple places which can be confusing.

Useful auto-text

Pros

My Best Practice auto-text feature is pretty useful when I need to jot down client notes quickly. Also my clients tell me the telehealth reminders and the overall platform are simple and user-friendly for them.

Cons

There are not many negatives from my perspective though I would appreciate a couples-specific auto-text option. It is not essential for completing couples notes but it would make that workflow a bit smoother.

Thorough, easy, affordable, quick migration

Pros

Our team is very impressed with My Best Practice. It is thorough, easy to use, affordable and migration was quick and simple. Support has been great too. We are now using it for a company-wide research project to track clinical outcomes and process metrics. And it's been perfect for this. So big thanks to MBP!

Cons

Being fairly new, the software still has a number of features the developers are actively building out and I actually appreciate that because they often take our feedback into account and add improvements.

Pros

MBP combines full functionality with user-friendliness in a way I have not found in other electronic health record systems. I've also been really impressed with the responsiveness and helpfulness of their support team.

Pros

As a user, I find it extremely thorough, letting me review treatment assessments right inside our EHR system and keeping all relevant information consolidated in one place.

Highly efficient

Pros

The product is highly efficient and very user-friendl and I picked up all its features almost immediately. Plus the tool has really streamlined how I work as a therapist by packing everything I need for client care into one place such as scheduling, progress tracking, note-taking and more making daily tasks much smoother.

Cons

Honestly I cannot really find any aspects of it that feel like real drawbacks. As it meets my needs so well that it's tough to point to anything negative.

All paperwork and scheduling in one place

Pros

One thing I really appreciate is how all the paperwork, documentation, treatment planning and scheduling are consolidated in a single place. Plus having all my clients details stored securely and yet easy to retrieve means I can devote more of my time to clinical care instead of getting bogged down in admin. It also helps me stay on top of required records and clearly shows what I've completed versus what still needs doing. Plus it is easy for me to use and my clients consistently tell me they find MBP very user friendly and simple to navigate as well.

Cons

At the moment I do not have any particular complaints or criticisms to raise about MBP.

color-coded schedule

Pros

Working as a practice manager, I really like the color-coding feature for our schedule because it makes it much easier to tell appointment types apart at a glance. Since I constantly switch between different providers throughout the day, I needed an EHR that's quick, simple and easy to use. I also value that MBP keeps rolling out new tools and actively asks for input to streamline our workflows. Every time they push an update I can see small improvements that make our day-to-day tasks smoother and the platform keeps getting noticeably better.

Cons

When a patient is scheduled with two providers they often get confused by a second signup link for the portal. They only need to log in to their main account to see both providers but the extra step throws them off especially if they are not comfortable with technology.

Quick progress notes but lacks tablet support

Pros

One thing I really like is that I can quickly and simply keep track of progress notes and homework assignments without any fuss.

Cons

There are not many built-in reminder options to help make sure clinicians don't accidentally miss entering a note or overlook an overdue balance. I also find there is no way to clearly mark appointments as missed, late cancel or cancelled which makes tracking tricky. Customer support is serviceable but I often do not get a reply until the next day. Finally the app needs much better tablet integration as I would really like the ability to share my iPad screen during sessions.

Values scheduling, portal, billing, document access

Pros

Scheduling, the client portal, billing and document accessibility are features I value highly. We were looking for a solution to get away from paper files and to give both our OTs and clients easier, faster access to records. We also needed a platform that makes it simple for our OTs to organise client sessions and write clinical notes without hassle. As overall I am very pleased with My Best Practice as we became more comfortable using the software and built a working relationship with customer support, many problems have either been fixed or we've found practical workarounds for them.

Cons

I've noticed the system comes with a steep learning curve and like many multi-purpose platforms it tries to serve so many different practices that it doesn't feel tailor-made for our company. There are features we never use and there are missing elements that would genuinely make our day to day experience smoother. Also the software can be glitchy at times and some parts aren't very user friendly. Honestly it desperately needs a thorough user manual and a set of step by step video tutorials. It would also help a lot to have a dedicated user's guide for the client portal.

Routine outcome measures, cleaner layout

Pros

When we switched to My Best Practice, we were most excited about the routine outcome measures and the ability to build custom survey schedules for different groups. It has all the key features we used in SimplePractice but the layout is cleaner and easier to use. Also there is no clutter from rarely-used tools, so our daily work flows more smoothly. Clients also tell us the client portal is simple and user friendly.

Cons

Moving our data from SimplePractice did require extra time and hands-on effort from our practice manager to make sure everything migrated correctly. We ran into a few hiccups but the support team was highly responsive and guided us through the process, helping wherever they could until the migration was complete.

Likes progress note auto-fill and alerts

Pros

As a clinician, what I like most is the progress note layout especially the auto-fill options that support evidence-based practice and help me track clinical data and stay consistent. Billing is simple too and the calendar with alerts makes scheduling easy. The software is very user friendly and integrated into my practice without any issues. I'd strongly recommend it to anyone starting a practice or switching from paper or another EHR. Migration was fast and smooth. Absolutely worth it.

Cons

I have noticed the recent client portal redesign looks much better overall but I wish it had a slightly more polished visual look.

Pros

What I like most about this program is how it simplifies managing appointments, billing clients and documenting therapy notes. The rollout went smoothly since the calendar organizes our daily workflow and that setup feels natural for our practice.

great session notes

Pros

Using My Best Practice has been easy for me when it comes to keeping session notes up to date and monitoring homework and overall progress. I'm really fond of the homework and next agenda tools because they help me stay organized with treatment planning. Plus the Telehealth option is simple to run and I can easily jot down notes in real time during virtual appointments without missing a beat.
