SchoolDoc is incredibly intuitive software that our community finds easy to navigate. When working with individuals of varying technological backgrounds, it's crucial for software to be straightforward and self-explanatory. We collaborated with SchoolDoc to ensure that onboarding our community and using the system were as seamless and painless as possible.

Cons

I appreciate the simplicity of this product, even though it lacks some of the fancy features others offer. I believe it suits our community's needs best.

Pros

Overall, I find SchoolDoc software very straightforward and ideal for all our school health needs. Currently, the most critical feature for us is the COVID-19 pre-screening form. This form provides a centralized, efficient, and rapid way to safely admit students into our school each morning. Parents have found SchoolDoc software very accessible and user-friendly for accessing and completing the pre-screening document.

Cons

It'd be fantastic if the software, especially for the COVID-19 pre-screening form, included an app feature parents could download onto their phones.

It is excellent that SchoolDoc integrates smoothly with our other (Blackbaud) information software. Parents have found it reasonably simple to navigate.

Cons

During the pandemic, we needed a daily health check-in system for families, and unfortunately, School Docs didn't meet our needs. It's not intuitive to use, and generating reports is cumbersome.

Integrating data with our admissions software is challenging because the program doesn't sync automatically. Importing students is labor-intensive initially, but it becomes easier afterward.

It's wonderful having all our essential documents and data collection in one place. It's particularly helpful that all staff members can quickly access allergy information and log injuries or accidents. We also find the attendance feature and COVID pre-screening very beneficial.

Cons

It would be helpful if we could handle more of the setup ourselves and rely on SchoolDoc's support for corrections. Also, the cost of using it for program payments is higher. I'm also frustrated that the trusted contacts feature doesn't auto-populate from a student's profile. Using the web browser on a phone for prescreening feels clunky.

Pros

School Docs has significantly simplified and streamlined our summer camp registration process. The program is relatively simple to navigate, and I appreciate having access from anywhere. It's also helpful that others can easily navigate the program without constantly asking for assistance. Our school nurse absolutely loves it.

Cons

The system can be slow at times, and financial exports aren't possible on a Chromebook. There are also issues with coupons that allow users to input multiples, even if they don't apply.

It is fantastic that parents can directly upload their student's health form to the portal. It has made the beginning of the school year much smoother.

I'd like the ability to upload new students directly to the portal without involving my Account Manager.

When I took over a vacant position, I had no one to guide me through School Doc. However, I found it quite intuitive to learn and comprehensive enough for our needs.

There are aspects I wish were different, though not critical. I've shared my feedback with School Doc, and they've been responsive.

The electronic health records feature is fantastic. Parents can download medical forms and upload health records easily. The sections on immunization and medication are well-organized and straightforward to use.

Cons

Entering immunization data isn't a problem with your system, just a personal preference. Other companies can pull data from state health departments, eliminating the need for manual entry.

Pros

The pre-built health and screening questions align perfectly with legal standards. The ability to store client information for year-over-year use is invaluable. The customer service is excellent, and the platform is both easy to start with and easy for clients to use. The single sign-on feature is also very convenient. I appreciate how the products are constantly evolving and expanding to better serve users.

Cons

The lack of customization limits our ability to tailor the software to our needs easily. I'd prefer to make straightforward updates internally instead of relying on our account manager.

Transitioning to electronic form gathering has significantly simplified my life. Tracking forms and medical information without paper clutter is a huge advantage. It's also easier to share information with other schools during transfers. We also use it for demographic purposes.

During this busy period dealing with COVID in schools, SchoolDoc has relieved some pressure for me. I can ensure more parents comply with physical and immunization requirements, spending less time chasing paperwork and more time supporting students.

Pros

Working with SchoolDoc has been fabulous! We currently use it only for back-to-school forms, not for eMAR or Health Log. However, the new User Permissions might allow us to explore eMAR next year, which we are still considering. The back-to-school forms feature has been invaluable for us!

Cons

I appreciate the clear, user-friendly system. At this time, I don't have any negatives to report and look forward to using more of it next school year.

Their executive is amazing. Despite my endless questions, he is consistently responsive, polite, and incredibly helpful! We've only been using the system for a year, and I look forward to possibly utilizing more features like eMAR and Health Log next school year. These features seem really promising!

Families tend to resist change initially, but I believe they'll adapt. This isn't a flaw in the software itself, just a challenge of implementing changes.

Everything has been excellent. Our account manager has been a wealth of knowledge. If he doesn't have an answer to a question, he promptly finds one. It's been a pleasure working with him. I also believe this program would be ideal for our summer camp, although I'm working on convincing the summer camp director. I've emphasized to the school the benefits of this awesome program!
