“Organized documentation system”
Pros
We're in the process of getting everything set up to move into Aura and we've actually had the system for years. It's easy to use and the notes are neatly separated into specific sections for each department which helps keep things organized.
Cons
One part I really don't care for is the statements. They're difficult for patients to read and end up being pretty confusing.

“efficient charting workflow”
Pros
Being able to click through many of the requirements without having to create narratives is really convenient.
Cons
If you're not very technical, it can feel a little complicated at times.

“Reliable support service”
Pros
Whenever we need help, customer support responds quickly and gets us sorted out. We had moved over from the native version because we were already fairly satisfied with it and sticking with it for Aura has been the right call. We definitely don't regret continuing with it.
Cons
A few workflow changes would make a big difference. It would help to have service names visible on the claims screen. Another frustration is that the schedule resets when editing appointments, for instance, if an appointment is marked not to bill, we have to go all the way back to the patient's account and then return to the appointment screen just to work on the next one and repeat that process again. We sent over a wishlist about this some time ago. It would also be much better if payments could be split between two claims while posting, instead of having to issue a credit, keep track of those credited payments and then open each individual client account to apply them manually.

“Navigation issues”
Pros
Being able to view more than one record at the same time is definitely helpful.
Cons
One thing that really bothers me is that I can't move through multiple pages with my mouse or cursor. Instead, I have to keep going back to the top of the document and click the arrow which feels awkward and takes extra time. On top of that, there have been quite a few billing issues as well.

“Flexible customization settings”
Pros
Using this system has been very easy and the modules and widgets can be customized to fit our needs.
Cons
There have been a few occasions when the system went down and it brought our agency to a halt for a short time.

“tough for scheduling!”
Pros
Switching from this system to AURA is definitely more convenient than dealing with the hassle of setting up a completely different EHR. Certain parts of the platform are also fairly simple to use which helps with day-to-day tasks.
Cons
Scheduling can be frustrating because it keeps jumping to a different week than the one being worked on. There are also parts of the system that still can't function without access to the old system. On top of that, updating items like forms, programs and services comes with its own set of challenges.

“Value for money benefits”
Pros
You really get a lot for the price with this software. It includes the features needed to manage a group practice and the billing piece is especially something I've been very happy with.
Cons
Getting comfortable with the software can feel a bit tough at first although it becomes much more manageable once you're used to how it works. In Aura, agency administrators should also have the ability to make certain changes on their own instead of having to contact support every time. There should be more control and autonomy built into the security matrix as well.

“Not user-friendly interface”
Pros
It was probably selected because it cost less than Kareo and some of the other EMR options. I wasn't involved in the decision to choose this software.
Cons
Using it is not simple at all. The prescription screen seems to increase the chance of human error and it's hard to view the exact details of the most recent prescription. I also wasn't able to prescribe albuterol because the system kept throwing an error message.

“Poor value for money”
Pros
Everything around this software feels misleading and none of the supposed benefits they promote seem genuine or actually materialize in real use.
Cons
It's overpriced and full of broken promises. The implementation is poor, support is lacking, the codes keep changing and the whole system is far from simple.

“Difficult implementation process”
Pros
The demo was excellent, the sales team knew the product well and they were very flexible with the contract terms during sign-up.
Cons
Once we actually signed up, just about everything went wrong. The implementation team didn't seem to understand how to use their own software in a way that fit our business. On calls, they would often argue with each other and instead of providing answers, they seemed to depend on us to figure out how their product should be used.

“Weak medication management”
Pros
One useful part is being able to see what other members of the Recovery team are doing. It may be a better fit for users who focus strictly on psychological counseling and other non-medical work.
Cons
As medication software, it falls short. Entering medications and dosing directions is frustrating and the system malfunctions too often. The options for History and Physical exams are very limited and having to open each COWS and CIWA assessment separately makes it hard to spot the overall pattern of drug withdrawal on the Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale. Since the latest update, the report for "Clients without Assessments" also no longer shows which patients are missing their History & Physicals which creates another major problem.

“Centralized records management”
Pros
Everything is self-contained in this program so once you're signed in, all the documentation for a client file can be entered and accessed in one place without hassle.
Cons
It does take a while to learn all the ins and outs of the system.

“Flexible platform functionality”
Pros
One thing I really appreciate about this tool is how flexible it is. It gives companies room to tailor it to their own specific needs instead of forcing everyone into the same setup.
Cons
At this point, I honestly can't think of any downsides. We're only using it at a very basic level for time management and it has been working without any issues so far.

“Poor user experience”
Pros
Honestly, there's nothing positive I can say about it. I'm only adding more here because it requires a longer response but my opinion hasn't changed at all.
Cons
This system is awful. I've used EMRs in hospital settings and also run my own private practice with an EHR that is far more user-friendly so I have a great basis for comparison. Out of all the systems I've worked with, this ranks among the absolute worst. At my workplace, nobody liked using it and complaints were constant from the entire team.

“Easy onboarding journey”
Pros
It's been a really good fit for our partial care setting. We haven't run into any issues and getting the whole team onboarded was very easy.
Cons
The only thing I'd like to see is better integration with other related programs, such as UA reports and case manager systems. Aside from that, it has worked out really well.

“Comprehensive records system”
Pros
Having client records and financial details in one system makes this product feel very comprehensive. I use it every day to keep up with both current and past patients and I really appreciate how much it includes.
Cons
Because it offers so many features, getting familiar with the product took some time. I wouldn't call it bad at all but there is definitely a lot of information to take in at first.
