“bad bad bad and bad
Pros
I have not come across many positives so far. The only bright spot has been the trainers, who were extremely helpful and did everything they could given how terrible the system is.
Cons
Almost everything about it frustrates me. As it has a steep learning curve, is hard to operate, is not designed for long-term acute care documentation, some parts still run on DOS and the corporate reporting falls far short.

“very hard to use unfriendly interface
Pros
One and only thing I really like is being able to have several patient charts open simultaneously which speeds up my workflow.
Cons
I found the system very hard to use because the interface isn't user friendly and it took me more than a month to feel confident using it for documentation. The application also frequently tries to reconnect to the server while I am working.

“Outstanding customer support but outdated
Pros
I found their customer support outstanding. I suspect it's because they have handled so many inquiries that they have really refined the process. And even when I needed help after normal business hours, their response was quick and reliable.
Cons
The user interface feels extremely outdated almost like something from before the 2000s. Some of the backend configuration choices also conflict with what most IT admins would do instinctively. Also there is a steep learning curve but once you have done the setup steps a dozen or so times, it becomes far less of an issue.

“Web-based access from anywhere
Pros
Because it is a web-based client, I can access it from anywhere without hassle and it is user friendly so I learned it quickly as a novice user.
Cons
I notice it frequently lags when I issue commands, causing responses to be delayed by several seconds and it logs me out too quickly when I am inactive.

“extremely difficult to use
Pros
It is inexpensive that is it. I cannot really find anything positive about it when I compare it to the other system they purchased for us.
Cons
To be honest it is really difficult to use as I keep running into screens that expect caps lock while others don't which drives me nuts. Since we started using it my report processing time has more than doubled and it prints more useless paper than I can deal with.

“No features run smoothly
Pros
So far I have not managed to get any of its features to run smoothly with other tools.
Cons
I keep getting the same inputs over and over which is really frustrating. It also has flaky integration when talking to other products. And the interface feels cluttered and unnecessarily picky, making it hard to use.

“could be a lot better
Pros
I like being able to log into the system and check my records in real time because my new information is already entered by the time I get home!
Cons
Finding the pages that accompany the actual file should be easier when I am trying to access them.

“User friendly layout for payroll
Pros
Even though I mostly only use it for payroll and accounts, I still find the layout really user friendly and easy to move around in.
Cons
At my hospital we have been using this for years with very few problems and I honestly cannot think of anything negative to say about CPSI.

“Trustworthy software for accessing pay stubs
Pros
I find it very simple to access my pay stubs and yearly documents. All of my pay stubs are stored, and I can easily view or print them as PDFs.
Cons
I cannot use symbols when creating a password, which I feel might make the account less secure.

“the WORST
Pros
As an ICU contract nurse, I honestly rely on it for work but this dreadful charting system is so bad that I know I would quit if I were forced to use it all the time.
Cons
I cannot make sense of this interface. I have to click through what feels like fifty screens just to find data and there are no prompts to help me remember. Using it is like entering notes into an Excel sheet, printing them and then tossing the sheets into a pile to sift through later.

“Easy to use among strong ehrs
Pros
I found it easy to ues and in my experience it is among the stronger EHR platforms available today.
Cons
Honestly I have noticed the user-facing interface looks outdated compared with rival services that have refreshed their designs. A number of menus and settings feel arbitrarily placed, like they were dropped into the layout without much thought which makes navigation confusing at times. There are also little bugs that seem to linger for years. For example checkboxes won't respond while the app is in full-screen mode, so I have to exit full screen, tick the box and then maximize the window again.

“Extremely user friendly and easy
Pros
The interface is extremely user friendly and navigating through this system is very easy too. After trying numerous other platforms, I can confidently say this has become my favorite so far.
Cons
So far I have not come across anything I dislike. it meets our company's needs very well. Overall I find it to be an excellent solution for what our organization requires.

“Happy with affordablity but little complex
Pros
I am happy with how affordable it is and after I became comfortable using it, I found it pretty easy to operate.
Cons
The screens feel a bit difficult to use. As I see too many options crammed onto single screens, so it's not as simple as I'd like.

“Easy data access when you know
Pros
When I know exactly where the data lives, I can pull it up quickly and it is simple to access. I also find it easy to keep a continuous running record without much hassle.
Cons
I find creating a new form really impossible. like there are so many steps involved and I end up constantly jumping back and forth between charts which feels inefficient and time-consuming.

“Excessive Redundant Data Entry
Pros
I like how flexible it is as I can create customized assessments, put together my own medication library and use multi-factor identification tied into medication administration.
Cons
In my experience there is a lot of redundant work required. Such as when I enter details in one section they often do not carry over to other parts and the amount of information you have to enter usually feels excessive for the situation.

“Worst emr i have ever used
Pros
Sure it is an electronic system but honestly this is hands down the worst EMR I have ever had to use in practice.
Cons
After using EMR systems across several hospitals from mediocre to quite good I was stunned by how bad this one is. It feels like something a child could throw together. Honestly I think a five-year-old could build something better. Almost every function is poor. There is no clear overview of patient information and the way interactions are presented makes no sense. Navigating it was so frustrating that over 90% of my colleagues chose to go back to paper charts. To me, even traditional paper files were preferable to wrestling with this system.

“Not a fan of the interface
Pros
I only turned to it occasionally when I had no choice and honestly I was not a fan of the product. I already had an alternative tool that offered similar features, so I ended up using that one far more often instead.
Cons
From my experience, the interface felt poorly thought out and not very user friendly at all. It was significantly simpler to go with another product that our team could access.
