“No positives, voice feature unavailable

Pros

I honestly have no positive feedback to share about this product.

Cons

To be honest, I discovered that several controls for enabling the voice feature were not available on my setup. The f4 key which I was supposed to use, sits right beside f5 and I kept accidentally triggering a browser refresh. And about a quarter of the time, the app would say it had picked up my voice but by the end of my sentence, it would not actually transcribe what I had said. The speech to text also struggles with medical terms and misses important vocabulary. Customer support has been disappointing too as they refuse to issue any refund because I am outside their refund window. I needed a longer trial to evaluate it properly and I am entirely dissatisfied. I asked for a prorated refund and I have heard nothing back.

“Essential tool that saves a lot of time

Pros

For my medical practice, VoiceboxMD has turned into an essential tool. Not only does it save me a lot of time but it also keeps my charts consistently updated, which frees me up so I can actually spend more quality time with my family.

Cons

I wish I could use my phone as the microphone rather than relying on the computer's built-in mic because that would be much more convenient for me when I'm moving around or away from my desk.

“Helps overcome my typing weakness

Pros

Typing has always been a weak spot for me and I used to spend ages on it, but this app has helped me overcome that major obstacle.

Cons

Occasionally it fails to pick up certain words, but as per my experience it's accurate and works best most of the time.

“Extremely quick and accurate recognition

Pros

I have noticed it recognizes speech extremely quickly and handles longer sentences well which gives me a much better chance of getting accurate transcriptions. What really stood out was that the error rate barely hit about two percent at worst which I found impressive. All in all, it feels like excellent value for the money.

Cons

After using it for a long time, I honestly cannot think of any drawbacks worth calling a con. There are just a couple of minor issues I have noticed but they never felt significant or got in the way of using the product.

“Handles multiple practices reliably

Pros

We roll it out across multiple practices and it handles the work reliably. The customer support has been outstanding too and I like that I can dictate notes on both mobile and desktop without breaking the bank.

Cons

When our internet connection is not fine, I have noticed the transcription can be inaccurate at times and we sometimes have to restart the app to fix it. Though it is only a minor hassle but it does interrupt our workflow occasionally.
