efficient patient navigation

Pros

Navigating between patients and their individual visits felt very easy and resolving queries was fairly simple as well.

Cons

While entering information into a form the system would sometimes send me to a different page. It would be much better to enter all the needed details in one form without having to jump to another one.

versatile ctms with full study coverage

Pros

We have been using this software since 2013 so we've had the chance to watch the CTMS grow from its early stages into a tool that does the best job of solving management challenges for hospitals and research teams involved in clinical studies. The part I value most is its versatility. I still haven't come across another platform that can adapt to each client's specific needs in such a reasonable timeframe and at such a competitive price. It covers the entire lifecycle of a clinical study from the initial idea, evaluation, site feasibility, trial management and final closeout while also handling visit and test billing as well as the collection and payment of all fees.

Cons

I do think it could be stronger in terms of performance and overall effectiveness and the reporting side needs improvement. The reports would benefit from an update with a more visual design and a more appealing way of presenting data. It would be better if the platform evolved into more of an indicator driven tool rather than staying focused mainly on traditional reports. One suggestion would be to add a new module that works as a true dashboard including the indicators from Farmaindustria's Best Report.

Pros

Their flexibility and willingness to adapt to our needs has been excellent both when launching the project and later on during maintenance once everything was up and running. We're also very pleased with the technical support team. Their response time has been very fast and they kept providing effective solutions for the issues that came up throughout the study.

Cons

One difficulty was the file download speed when working with large studies of more than 4,000 patients. At one stage downloading everything became practically impossible although to be fair they offered us an alternative that ended up being even better than doing a full manual data download.

Easy tabs and visual queries

Pros

Overall it's an easy tool and fairly simple to use. The visual system of top tabs for moving from one section to another lets you see them all at once which makes it convenient to jump back to any of them without having to click through everything again. In my case the "queries" section felt especially comfortable to work with and the color coded setup made it very clear visually.

Cons

The tool felt a bit slow when starting up. More specifically for the work I was using it for some fields only allowed limited numeric values so there was no option to enter something like "1 or 2" and you had to choose just a single number. Also when entering date type values everything had to be written in the exact required format without accepting any variation that the program could automatically convert. There were also certain sections that were less user friendly and not as convenient. When confirming a piece of information it didn't redirect you straight to another related screen that also had to be completed so you had to remember to go into it yourself later which sometimes left room for forgetting it.

Pros

It seems like this could become a very powerful tool. The software includes all the necessary data and the information it provides is very useful. The basic information does need to be entered correctly from the start so everything works properly afterward.

Cons

Its speed and flexibility still need work. The forms should be improved because right now they are not very adaptable for working with and reporting information.

Pros

Getting started with the database for the first time feels very easy and to the point. It's simple to move through the different sections, very easy to handle and in our case it captures all the data and information we need so we can later generate reports.

Cons

From my perspective the application is a bit slow. It takes too long to save and sometimes it freezes so if you're working with it all day it can become really frustrating. As for the reports, I think they could definitely be improved in terms of colors, layout and variables. If I had to present those reports to my supervisor I would need to edit and enhance them manually first.

Simple and useful and you don't need any complicated training before getting started with it.

Cons

When you need to correct data that was entered incorrectly in some variables it throws an error that prevents those changes from being made.
