“Shortcuts simplify everything
Pros
The inventory inquiry view is much easier to access compared to other HVAC ERP systems. Plus I was impressed by how quickly I can navigate to most of the screens I need using the shortcut keys.
Cons
I am not a fan of how long it takes for reports to download from the Epicor system. It seems to freeze while waiting for reports to finish.

“Love the design but AP flaws are noticeable
Pros
Epicor Prophet 21 interface is user friendly and I also find its interface pretty easy to operate.
Cons
There are internal control risks when it comes to disbursements. The address management system where customer, supplier and vendor addresses are linked, sounds good in theory but it creates issues when you need to update just one address without changing all linked records.

“has some major problems
Pros
The software works well for us overall but the drawbacks are significant.
Cons
Credit card processing does not work at all. And they has not addressed these obvious issues in 10 years and does not listen to customer complaints. The cursor placement is confusing, often disappearing on the screen. Switching from quotes to sales orders or vice versa is difficult once products are entered. It wastes a lot of paper as everything prints with unnecessary space. Plus it does not offer monthly invoicing just one large invoice at the end of the year. Customers have no idea what they are purchasing until they see the printed receipt. I feel like there should be a secondary monitor for pricing approvals. There are no default financial reports as you have to create your own and learn how to build them. If you press the Enter button too many times after entering products the cursor location becomes unpredictable. And if you accidentally change the order date to something like the year 2000, the prices for every product go to zero. When invoicing back orders, the software does not show the quantity owed as it only displays whats been invoiced and what was ordered. You have to manually calculate what is still owed.

“Quite expensive
Pros
We use it for our ERP system as well as for financial costing and reporting. And for that purpose it is fine.
Cons
It is very expensive and the worst part is that we have to buy every module to make anything work.
