Adapts well to changing organizational structures

Pros

One thing that really works in it is how well it adjusts to changing organizational structures and evolving business needs. Moving to a more agile approach with it has helped us deliver a much better solution to our clients. The interface and overall design also feel familiar to a lot of users especially since it resembles the look and structure of Microsoft software which makes adoption more natural.

Cons

Reporting is where the product falls short the most. On top of that, the deployment side feels limited because it lacks the integration options it really should have.

Highly flexible

Pros

It adapts well when business structures or requirements change. Using an agile approach, we've been able to adjust things quickly which leads to much better results for customers. Since it's built on Microsoft technologies, many organizations can also make use of the infrastructure they already have in place. Kepion works as a full modeling platform so it's not limited to finance and can also support operational use cases like marketing and asset management.

Cons

With larger deployments, extra work is usually needed to keep performance and usability at a good level. Because the system is built around a dimensional model, user interactions and potential bottlenecks need careful planning to make sure the overall experience is as efficient and optimized as possible.

Strong fit for academic budgeting

Pros

It covers most of what we need for financial planning which is especially valuable given the unique demands of research administration in an academic setting.

Cons

Getting the full value out of this software takes a lot of involvement and input from the customer.
