Pros
Working with it has consistently gone beyond what I expected. I've seen their team genuinely put in the effort to understand how our business operates. Whenever a standard feature didn't quite handle what we needed, they were quick to come up with a solution. The system's flexibility and customization have been a huge upgrade compared to what we used before and I've found their customer service outstanding.
Cons
We're looking forward to seeing how the planned CRM add-on for MIE Trak develops in the future.

Pros
One thing that really works well for me is how consistent the whole system feels. Everything connects nicely across the software and I find moving from one window to another very simple. The added tools like EDI, mobile warehouse, QuickBooks integration, auto-emailing and automated backups really add value and make it feel worth the investment.
Cons
The hardest part for me has been keeping up with the updates. Sometimes new releases include features that we do not need or would rather not use. Since the software is designed to support many different types of companies, there are naturally going to be parts that do not fit our operation very well. On the other hand, there are also smaller features we would really like to have and those do not always get added quickly. Even when they do make it onto the roadmap, it can take 5 to 6 months or even longer depending on how involved the request is.

We've been using their product since 1997 and I've seen it handle the entire workflow from quoting all the way through order entry, work orders, scheduling, material purchasing, outside processing, inspection, shipping and invoicing. It also gives us great job history and time tracking which has been very useful for us over the years.

The price is low, the implementation is flexible and I've had a great experience working with the team especially Joshua and the others. It's a very functional product with plenty of customization options and strong overall capabilities.

Pros
One of the biggest strengths for me is the reporting. If you know which parts of the business you want to monitor, such as employee efficiency, costing, production schedules, machine maintenance, RFQ success rates or sales and revenue, I've found you can build all of those under Quick View. The BOM functionality is also excellent especially the ability to drill down into different levels which I think anyone in cost accounting would really appreciate.
Cons
Since we're based in Australia, reaching support the same day can be difficult because of the time difference. That said we consistently get a quick reply the following morning. The system can also feel a bit overwhelming for new employees at the start because there are so many features, functions and levels to learn.

Using it feels very simple to me and I like how the customization options make it simple to tailor the software to specific needs. Important information is only a few keystrokes away and I find the ability to export data to Excel really useful for deeper analysis.

Coming from a company that used a different system, I found the transition to this one pretty easy. There were a few things I had to figure out on my own since I took over the role and the previous employee never fully learned the program. My favorite feature is being able to post something and, if I catch an error afterward, I can simply go back, unpost it, fix the mistake and repost it which saves a lot of time compared to redoing the entire process.
Cons
I'm sure there are still features I haven't discovered yet but I would really appreciate better search options with more detailed results. It would also be helpful to choose which columns show up in the search results. That said I may just need more time working with the program to learn everything it can do.

Coming from a small five-person jobbing shop, we expected MIETrak to feel like something built for larger companies with limited processes and bigger admin teams. Instead, I've seen it work really well for our small, agile setup. The platform is very expansive and includes more features than we currently need but I found having everything available right out of the box a big advantage. It also matched the way we were already running the business so the learning curve stayed fairly low. On top of that, I've noticed it has helped us move faster through the bottleneck areas that had been slowing us down.
Cons
One limitation is that the standard reporting and out-of-the-box report options are fairly restricted so without SQL knowledge we have to depend on MIETrak to create reports for us. It is not a major issue but it is something to be aware of. We also assumed purchase order receiving would be included in the kiosk license since we intend to have all staff receive incoming goods but it is only available under the pro user license. Another area that does not fully match our needs is the work order nest feature. We were able to find a workaround that works for us but issuing materials to multiple jobs this way is still slow. A feature similar to log out multi work order but for BOM, would really help.

Handling RFQs, quotes, sales orders, sales order reports and invoices all in one place works really well for us and I've found it keeps everything organized from quote through invoicing.
Cons
Thing that's missing is a quote-to-order report which would make tracking conversions much better. The training time also wasn't enough so getting fully comfortable with the system took longer than expected.

“barcode work orders are a win”
Pros
One of the things I appreciate most is the work order feature with barcodes. I've seen it let our plant team clock in and out of different production steps quickly which is a huge improvement over the handwritten timesheets we used before. The shipping and invoicing tools are also really strong especially when we need to produce hundreds of shipping labels in just a few minutes. The inventory module feels easy to me and keeps stock levels updated in real time. I'm also very happy with the daily backups since they give me confidence that our data stays secure and protected.
Cons
Getting the quoting module set up the way I wanted was a challenge in the beginning especially when trying to have material costs nested across parts for true costing. That said MIE is not a post processor so we rely on SigmaNest for the nesting side of things.

Right away, I found the system very user-friendly and simple to navigate. It comes with multiple functions that really fit our industry and the biggest advantage for me is being able to track every job or work order from start to finish. On top of that, I've experienced the customer service as the best I've ever worked with.
Cons
The only problems I've run into have been the occasional times when I needed something that wasn't built into the design, usually around employee timeclock recordkeeping. Luckily, the excellent customer service team at MIE Trak has helped us find workarounds whenever that happens.

Whenever questions came up during implementation or we needed help with certain features, we submitted support tickets online and I was impressed by how quick the responses were. I've found the quality of the answers consistently strong as well. The mobile warehouse functionality has been a big win for us and I can see our team really enjoys using it. We've also been very happy with the kiosk for tracking work order progress and I found the setup process simple.
Cons
A few features take too many screens and button clicks to complete which can make some tasks feel more drawn out than they should be. The ECO process is also fairly limited and does not seem designed for companies that manufacture products under revision control.
