“inventory and quickbooks win”
Pros
The inventory program has been really useful in my experience and I find the QuickBooks integration makes uploading data easy and convenient.
Cons
Honestly there isn't anything I dislike about it. Everything I've used has been simple to set up and easy to follow.

“Great manufacturing foundation”
Pros
It includes all the modules needed to build a strong, successful manufacturing operation. I've seen it stay grounded in the fundamentals while still providing plenty of flexibility and useful functionality.
Cons
The quality module is somewhat limited, although it still gets the job done. The accounting module also needs careful review and analysis.

“powerful across the whole company”
Pros
Starting out in customer service and shipping and later moving into manufacturing and the plant floor, I've personally seen how much this system improves every part of the company. We also use it alongside the kiosk program on the shop floor and I've found they work very well together for what our business needs.
Cons
It's almost like a supercomputer in the sense that the only real limit is how well you understand and use its full potential. One thing I'd still like to see improved is making the collaboration between database segments easier to locate when working in the report writer.

“flexible platform with strong support”
Pros
Right from the start I've found the team highly experienced and consistently reliable in their support, no matter the priority level. We also had plenty of time to prepare for the move to the Pro System which gave us the chance to fully understand how everything works before going live. The platform offers a lot of options and can seem complex at first but I've noticed the interface follows a consistent task flow across all modules which makes it easier once you get used to it. Another big advantage for me is the ability to extend the system and integrate it with other software and applications. We needed our own software to run inside Mietrack Pro for specific reasons and I've seen that supported very well. Because of that, we were able to design our own add-ons internally and make them work effectively with the core system. I've also noticed our feedback has been taken seriously, with many fixes approved to help us get more value from the software. Overall I see it as an open, customizable solution backed by very strong support.
Cons
At first impression, the system does feel complex and during a new implementation that can be intimidating for users. Speed was also a concern in the beginning, although it improved a lot over time especially because the Mietrack team was open to new ideas and responsive to our feedback. The interface includes a very large number of features which is not necessarily a bad thing but not every company will use every field available. Because of that, users may need a longer learning period before they feel fully comfortable with the flow of the interface. In our case, many of the users were not particularly technical with computers yet they were still able to learn the procedures over time and adapt to the system. I also understand that a more elegant solution is expected in the near future with the Cube design but for now there is still a learning curve. One thing that may be missing is a mass-action concept for repetitive tasks. There are alternative modules within the solution that can handle this but they require more advanced users to manage. In our company, though, that has not been a major issue.

“clear transaction visibility”
Pros
One thing that really works well is the visibility into every transaction that happens. I can clearly see which user handled each transaction and the exact time it was made which makes tracking activity much more reliable.
Cons
One frustrating part is the reconciliation issues that come up from time to time. There are moments when some of my entries seem to disappear and I have to contact tech support to get them restored. The good side is that the support team is very helpful and consistently able to resolve the problem.

“real-time shop floor visibility”
Pros
Running a job shop that serves multiple industries means we're always sending lead-time updates to customers and I've found it has made that much easier. It gives us real-time tracking details on order status so I can immediately see how many parts are finished or which stage of manufacturing a job is currently in. That lets me provide accurate updates quickly by phone or email without leaving the office. The system gives us strong control over the shop and I can clearly communicate every part of the manufacturing process to both customers and suppliers. One of the features I appreciate most is the custom reporting in every module. We can pull together data, format it however we want and I'm able to print it or save it as a PDF with our company logo to send out. It works especially well for creating custom OORs, RMAs, certs and similar documents. On top of that, I've had a great experience working with the team, they respond to feedback, fix issues quickly through updates and keep improving the software.
Cons
Whenever we've run into issues, the MIE Solutions team has resolved them quickly so at this point we really don't have any negatives to mention.

“Convenient features all in one place”
Pros
Everything works together easily in my experience so there aren't separate modules that need extra syncing just to communicate with each other. No matter where I am in the system, I find all the connected features already there and available.
Cons
One thing that would make it better is being able to highlight specific lines or cells, similar to a spreadsheet and copy only those instead of having to copy the full report that Mietrak generates. That said copying the entire report and pasting it into Excel is very easy and I can still work with it the way I want there.

“complete business management powerhouse”
Pros
It is a full-featured, user-friendly software package that we rely on for everything from quoting to invoicing and I've seen it help us manage our entire business in one place.
Cons
It runs on an SQL database and query performance can slow down at times when working with larger databases.

“Capable integrations and visibility”
Pros
One of the biggest wins with this software for me has been how well it connects with other database systems. Mie was especially helpful in getting the data moving between ProNest and the system. With the company we used before, I found it nearly impossible to set up any kind of customized communication because they offered no real help so it was refreshing to see this up and running after only a meeting or two. Another thing I appreciate is how much information is available right on each page. I can move through RFQs orders, items, POs and more using the mouse or arrow keys and quickly review everything in one place. We also really value how it handles time and material collection on each work order, even though we haven't fully rolled that part out yet.
Cons
Getting comfortable with the way manufactured items are tied to both a quote and a router took some time. Since we make custom parts, we're creating new part numbers every day. The process means first creating a new item, then generating a quote from it where the manufacturing details are entered to build the cost. Once the job is won, you then have to create a router from that quote so the work order can pull in those details. I still don't fully understand why the work order can't just use the information directly from the quote, although there may be a valid reason behind it. Another thing we miss from our previous setup is being able to email customers their bill along with a payment link for ACH or credit card payments. We can still send invoices through the system but it would be a nice addition if Mie Trak included that payment option as well.

“Next-gen dashboards and ERP insights”
Pros
Right away, I found it more interactive than most of the competing products I've used. Being able to build key queries and dashboards that actually help run the business is a huge advantage and that's what makes it my preferred ERP system.
Cons
I only wish we had been able to roll out more of it faster. It can be tough to know exactly what you need until you hit a limitation, although those issues are usually resolved pretty quickly.

“Efficient reporting and flexibility”
Pros
Being able to monitor every part of the business in one system has been extremely valuable for us and I've found the reports can be customized to match our exact needs without much trouble. It's a very capable platform overall and I like that we can use as much or as little of it as our business requires.
Cons
Getting it integrated with the way we already handled our business processes took some effort and was a bit challenging.

“comprehensive and feature-packed”
Pros
This is a very comprehensive software package and I'm currently only using about half of what it can do. As we continue to grow, I expect to make use of even more features since I've found it very detailed and capable.
Cons
A few of the abbreviations are different here in Australia since it's American software. Also, it's not always clear when the system is processing something so a timer or progress indicator would really help.

“feature-rich and excellent value”
Pros
There's a huge range of features here and I've seen it do a great job of capturing data across multiple stages of the manufacturing cycle. The customization options are a big plus and overall I find it offers excellent value for money. Another thing I've appreciated is how quickly the support team responds especially given the Australian and U.S. time difference.
Cons
The interface isn't the most simple at first, although with time and training it does become much easier to use efficiently. It would also be even better to have an Australia-based contact available for customization and troubleshooting.

“constant updates and strong support”
Pros
One of the biggest benefits compared with other software for me is the support that comes with the annual agreement. I've seen the system updated regularly with ongoing improvements and it's reassuring to know the support team is always available through tickets when help is needed. Those updates continue to introduce new features and better ways to manage production which helps drive ongoing improvement across the organization and creates better methods for capturing and maintaining production data. At the same time, I've noticed that because the software is so dynamic, there can be occasional challenges when a change causes something to behave differently. Our team recently rolled out an update to the barcoding system that added product images to inventory labels and I've seen how that turned into a valuable time-saving improvement.
Cons
It's high level of customization really becomes more valuable when you have people on staff who understand SQL and report writing. The support team can create custom reports and scripts but new users would probably unlock much more creative and effective use of the tools in MieTrak if their own team had a stronger grasp of how the underlying system works.

“excel exports and journal wins”
Pros
Journal entries and the ability to download results for managing numbers in Excel have been really valuable for me. We recently added multiple entities and I'm looking forward to using it more with the new setups.
Cons
Cost tracking by project and work order could flow better since users aren't required to enter a project or work order number when turning a purchase requisition into an order. That may also come down to a local policy issue.

“flexible lookups”
Pros
There are plenty of ways to search for information and I really appreciate being able to sort databases by most fields. The customizable reports are also a valuable feature. While they're not always the simplest to build, I've found Customer Support very helpful whenever I needed assistance.
Cons
Once bank accounts are reconciled, it would be much better to have a single report I can print that confirms the account is reconciled and lists all cleared transactions. It would also be useful if that same report included outstanding transactions. Right now, I have to print five separate reports to gather all of that information.
