great reporting with role-based permissions

Pros

Financial reporting in this Business tool is great and mature and I find the real-time, automated aggregation of data extremely valuable. I also find the granular, role-based permissions very effective for managing sensitive information.

Cons

Personally I find this solution pricier than many other accounting packages available, even though it does offer greater power and more features. In my view the user interface looks dated and clunky. While the functionality is strong and extensive, it feels like using a twenty-year-old Windows interface rather than a modern, polished application. That gap bothers me in everyday use.

Comprehensive platform for accountants

Pros

The platform's comprehensiveness and detail impress me and I find it highly suitable for experienced accounts officers, bookkeepers and accountants.

Cons

For me the business aspects of this tool were difficult to learn and to grow comfortable with if you're not accustomed to large-scale digital financial applications. I did require some training.

Website lacks transaction search functionality

Pros

Bank feeds, date-lock features, the balance sheet and GST reporting make me quite happy and I find them reliable for everyday accounting tasks.

Cons

On the website I notice a lack of functionality and I can't use the find transaction feature which is frustrating.

perfect for invoicing, with extra capabilities

I rely on this app for invoicing and I find it works perfectly while offering additional capabilities beyond the basics.

Cons

Handy and fast for billing

Limited support

Pros

Overall I find the application feasible and easy to operate for daily accounting tasks.

Cons

Getting face-to-face support has been really difficult for me. Even after I ask for a live meeting all I get back is an email message. I don't value that kind of support. Most replies are just emails containing a link to an article on their site which often fails to resolve my issue.

Feels outdated with integration issues

Pros

Managing client records and creating invoices within a single system is something I really appreciate about this platform.

Cons

We find that using this platform to run an IT business doesn't feel very cutting-edge and we find integration issues with our PSA.

user-friendly for any business type

Pros

The tool feels excellent and user-friendly and I find it fits the needs of virtually any business.

Cons

For me the biggest drawback is that it won't support handling multiple companies for congreatated accounting which means it often falls short compared with larger enterprise systems.

Great for treasury and invoice management

Pros

For treasury tasks I notice it is very easy to use and I find it highly beneficial for invoicing management.

Cons

Too complex for new businesses initially

Pros

During the first six months after launching my business, I tried this app but found it too complex for my needs at that time.

Cons

If you're not familiar with current accounting terminology it becomes extremely confusing and because I wasn't up to speed with those terms, I wouldn't have kept using this tool otherwise.

Feature-rich for invoices, VAT and billing

Pros

Handling invoices, VAT and billing for both individuals and businesses is feasible and I find this billing management tool extremely feature-rich.

Cons

feasible and reliable for small businesses

Pros

Over the years I've always found the software convenient and I notice it remains simple for accountants even with professional experience.

Cons

Customer support has been practically non-existent for me and I've seen many of my clients switch to Xero or QuickBooks because the lack of support became a dealbreaker.

Quick, compliant cash flow management

Pros

Managing cash flow and meeting ATO compliance requirements is faster using this tool and I find it reliable for everyday tasks.

Cons

Getting used to it was a bit tricky at first but once everything was set up, it started working perfectly for me.

Limited business version, switched to Xero

Pros

Accessing and reviewing accounting transactions online was essential and I found this feature saved a lot of time.

Cons

The business version felt really limited in functionality for me which is why I eventually switched to Xero.
