Simple, easy payroll processing

Pros

Using this business tool is simple and I find payroll processing feasible across both personal and company accounts.

Cons

My main issue is that when I allocate payments the system will sometimes auto-assign them on its own and more often than not it chooses the wrong payment or even the wrong company which is frustrating.

Secure all-in-one accounting system

Pros

The all-in-one accounting system is easy to navigate and I find it secure and reliable for payroll, accounts payable and receivable.

Cons

For me I've noticed it becomes somewhat pricey over time and every so often I have trouble integrating it with other platforms and apps.

strong support and comprehensive features

Pros

Outstanding customer support and extensive features impress me and I find it makes accounting and bookkeeping work much more feasible.

Cons

When I initially started using it I found it a bit confusing to grasp and at times certain functions aren't very convenient like figuring out how to enter a TFN for someone who's exempt, among other things.

smooth invoice processing with auto-capture

Pros

Personally I find the invoicing in-tray lets me drag and drop invoices into a processing queue so everything moves along smoothly. The system captures invoice details automatically so usually all I have to do is a quick double-check to make sure it read everything right which it does most of the time, unless the invoice or receipt is blurry.

Cons

From my perspective payroll is the weakest part entering the accurate hours into timesheets still feels fairly manual and tedious.

Limited reporting, no bulk download

Pros

For my small business it's affordable.

Cons

Reporting features are too limited and there's no quick way for me to download all my invoices at once. Instead I'm forced to open each individual invoice and save them one at a time.

Reliable, accurate tool but customer support isn't the best

Pros

This software is very reliable. Once I learned how it works it's fairly feasible to use and produces very accurate results.

Cons

Honestly the customer support is dreadful, I've had to deal with long hold times when trying to reach a person or get tech help, make sure your phone line is free because you might be waiting on hold for a couple of hours.

not beginner-friendly

Pros

I've found this very old-school accounting software hasn't changed much but with some experience I can follow it easily.

Cons

As someone running a small business I'm frustrated that this very old-school accounting software hasn't evolved, it still expects users to understand basic accounting which many small business owners do not.

Limited features, frustrating to use

Pros

Honestly there's absolutely nothing good to say about it. I really can't find any positives except that if all you need is to create very basic invoices, then it will do the job.

Cons

it is extremely limited and frustratingly hard to use. It almost feels deliberately designed to push I into buying a more expensive version. Even pulling simple reports is practically impossible these days.

Handles bookkeeping, invoices, payroll smoothly

Pros

I'm really impressed by how smoothly this tool handles every aspect of my accounting. I rely on it for bookkeeping and reconciling accounts, as well as sending invoices, running payroll, paying bills and keeping a record of transactions. Having everything stored in a single place simplifies my monthly financial reviews and makes it much easier for me to stay current with our accounting responsibilities without feeling overwhelmed.

Cons

My main frustration is that the synchronization with other programs isn't always dependable. For instance when I try to connect it with Total Synergy I've run into problems on occasion that break my workflow and force me to spend extra time troubleshooting and fixing the integration instead of getting actual work done.

unreliable login and report sharing issues

Pros

On the surface it's visually appealing but that's really the only positive thing I can say about this tool.

Cons

Almost every accountant I've spoken to has told me to steer clear of this software. I've now been locked out of my account for more than a month because their login system won't remember my credentials and forces me to use third-party apps that fail and on top of that I haven't been able to share report access, this program keeps flipping statuses behind my back so recipients can't see what I expect. It's been a frustrating experience and feels unreliable.

great reporting with role-based permissions

Pros

Financial reporting in this Business tool is great and mature and I find the real-time, automated aggregation of data extremely valuable. I also find the granular, role-based permissions very effective for managing sensitive information.

Cons

Personally I find this solution pricier than many other accounting packages available, even though it does offer greater power and more features. In my view the user interface looks dated and clunky. While the functionality is strong and extensive, it feels like using a twenty-year-old Windows interface rather than a modern, polished application. That gap bothers me in everyday use.

Comprehensive platform for accountants

Cons

Website lacks transaction search functionality

Pros

Bank feeds, date-lock features, the balance sheet and GST reporting make me quite happy and I find them reliable for everyday accounting tasks.

Cons

On the website I notice a lack of functionality and I can't use the find transaction feature which is frustrating.

Pros

Overall I find the application feasible and easy to operate for daily accounting tasks.

Cons

Getting face-to-face support has been really difficult for me. Even after I ask for a live meeting all I get back is an email message. I don't value that kind of support. Most replies are just emails containing a link to an article on their site which often fails to resolve my issue.

During the first six months after launching my business, I tried this app but found it too complex for my needs at that time.

Cons

If you're not familiar with current accounting terminology it becomes extremely confusing and because I wasn't up to speed with those terms, I wouldn't have kept using this tool otherwise.

Over the years I've always found the software convenient and I notice it remains simple for accountants even with professional experience.

Cons

Customer support has been practically non-existent for me and I've seen many of my clients switch to Xero or QuickBooks because the lack of support became a dealbreaker.

Quick, compliant cash flow management

excellent UX and beginner-friendly

Pros

For beginners, the user experience is excellent and I find the mobile capture app and online support particularly practical.

Cons

Recurring invoices are helpful but I'd love a �create from template' option for contacts that recur. I also want control over invoice reminders so I can adjust messages for each situation. Some simple filtering and sorting tools would make it much easier for me to track transactions, invoices and related items.

best choice for complex business needs

Pros

Evaluating multiple options, I found XO stood out and I notice it meets our complex business requirements very well.

Cons

I don't have major complaints about the system itself though when we used Viberent as a customized software component I ran into a few API integration glitches which I expected would happen.
