“good platform and caring team”
Pros
Using this platform has been a very positive experience. It's easy to use, the functionality feels simple and the uptime has been extremely dependable. I also appreciate being able to choose only the modules we actually need so we're not paying for extras that don't apply to us. On top of that, the team behind the product is highly responsive and professional. We were one of the first schools to adopt it and the quality of both the software and the support has never given us a reason to consider switching.
Cons
No product is without a few weak spots but whenever we've raised a need, the company has responded by improving the system. One example was when we needed more space for uploading student records and that was addressed in a later revision of the product. Their responsiveness has been consistent.

Pros
Having all attendance records stored in one place has been incredibly helpful because it makes tracking and managing everything much more organized. Communication between teachers and parents also feels very convenient especially with the option to send updates and mesits directly. Another feature I really appreciate is being able to enter alumni information and create parent sign-up sheets for events or activities. It really helps keep everything aligned.
Cons
I wish it included the ability to translate mesits into another language or change the language while typing. It would also be very useful to pull attendance records from previous years instead of only working with current data. On top of that, I'd love to have a longer character limit when creating a textcue or adding details to a sign-up sheet.

Pros
Right out of the gate, this platform covered all the core features our school needs to handle tuition and fee collection efficiently without stretching the budget. It's easy to use and the video tutorials do a nice job of helping new users get comfortable quickly.
Cons
Only thing I'd really add is a phone support option. It would be nice to have a call-in help line even though I realize most software companies are moving away from that kind of support.

Pros
After comparing a number of platforms for our small hybrid school, this one checked the boxes we needed and has been easy for both teachers and parents to use. It isn't the lowest-priced option but it includes the features we were specifically looking for, SIS, reporting, attendance, admissions and enrollment, a gradebook with reporting, a payment portal, parent-teacher conference sign-ups, a school directory, communications and more.
Cons
One hiccup early on was the pricing document they gave us during the initial meetings which felt more confusing and complicated than necessary. We also had a bit of trouble getting the Gradebook set up the first time around. We're using it now but next year we'll probably structure it differently since part of that was our own learning curve.

Pros
Right from the start, I found the UX and UI simple to navigate. I feel the value for the price is outstanding compared to similar products. The training has been excellent and I've found the ongoing in-person sessions especially impressive. Tech support is also very responsive, usually getting back within 24 hours.
Cons
It isn't really configured to handle selecting specific classes for homeschool co-ops or university model schools.

The database functionality has been really useful for us. We've only recently started using the system for our before- and after-school care charges and I've found it to be a good fit so far.

It's really easy to use and gives everything needed to manage in one place and I find that very efficient. The weekly training sessions are also very useful.
Cons
The reports are useful but they still aren't fully flexible since you can't always select exactly what you want to view in each one. It would be even better if they added custom reporting you could build on the fly.

Pros
Having one platform that handles everything from communication and sign-ups to grade books and payments has been incredibly valuable for us and I really appreciate having all of those pieces in a single solution.
Cons
One part that hasn't worked well for us is the photo gallery in the app. We were hoping it would be a useful way to share pictures internally but it feels too tough and requires too many steps just to post photos. The document box also hasn't been a favorite since the file size limits are too restrictive and it's not very convenient for our teachers to work with.

Pros
Running a small school with just under 150 students, I've found this has given us everything we need and then some without stretching the budget. The online inquiry and enrollment workflow has been a huge time-saver and has cut down stacks of paperwork significantly. The parent communication features have been excellent and I found the speed of the implementation process honestly impressive.
Cons
At the beginning, a few modules were not as user-friendly as they could have been. That said the team clearly pays attention to feedback and has done an excellent job rolling out updates that have improved those modules a lot and made them much easier to use.

One thing that really stands out is how committed the IT team is to improving the program and I really appreciate that. They genuinely pay close attention to customer feedback and keep refining the product based on what users share. They also send out regular releases which helps keep everyone updated on changes and improvements. The video tutorials for each part of the program are especially helpful for me because they give clear visual guidance for setup and day-to-day use and they're available anytime. That makes a big difference for those of us working on data and information systems after hours. On top of that, if something isn't covered in the tutorials or online resources, I've seen the IT team respond very quickly by email. The customer service has been outstanding and it honestly feels like they truly want our team and school to succeed.
Cons
As noted, customer support has easily been the strongest part of our experience. The only suggestion we would make is to shorten response times by offering a way to contact support directly, rather than relying only on email requests which naturally creates some delay.

One thing that really stood out for me was how patient and cooperative the IT staff has been, along with how affordable the program is. Legacy Christian Academy hasn't even been open for a full year yet so we've been figuring things out as we go. We also had staff changes, including switching the person responsible for using the program every day. I'm sure our delays and confusion must have been frustrating for the SchoolCues team but I found they stayed with us and supported us through the entire process.
Cons
Only thing I would really want is onsite help from IT staff. That said I understand the logistics of that make it a very unlikely option.

Working as a Program Administrator and Family Liaison, I'd absolutely recommend this platform to any small school, or really any school, looking to move over to a digital system. The shift has gone very well, largely because of the wide range of module trainings they provide. Having everything organized in one digital space cuts down a lot on office paperwork. It also lets you replace many paper forms, build new ones directly in the system and share them with families from a single place. On top of that, you can send messages to an individual or an entire class, schedule parent-teacher conferences, manage grades and even collect payments.
Cons
A downside is that some specific forms still can't be modified or edited yet. Accident reports are one example, they come in a fixed format which may not match the version your school is already used to using.

Our small school was started only a few years ago so we initially relied on a mix of free and paid tools for records, communication and payments. I found this platform replaced most of those with a single portal for staff, teachers and parents. It has greatly simplified our admissions, student records and fee collection.
Cons
Interface and the way certain features function are not always very simple. It also took a while to work out how to customize the enrollment contracts and payment setup so they would match our specific processes and needs.

Pros
Running a small school comes with many of the same administrative demands as a much larger one and I find this program covers that surprisingly well. It brings together all the functions we need to manage the school effectively in one web-based system and it has already shown even more automation potential than we originally expected. Another thing I truly appreciate is the small-business approach behind it which makes me feel like our feedback actually matters. The support team is responsive, helpful and genuinely open to suggestions and recommended improvements are clearly taken seriously. It's also refreshing to see minor fixes and enhancements released regularly instead of waiting for a big upgrade cycle.
Cons
One area that has been missing is under Health Information, where we still need the ability to record multiple specific physical, medical and mental conditions for each student. For our student population, that kind of detail is essential and it seems like it would be valuable for many other schools too. The encouraging part is that when I raised this with the development team, they paid close attention, took the feedback seriously and started working on what sounds like a very strong solution. I'm really looking forward to seeing the final result.

Pros
Having the sign-up feature built in and keeping everything in one place has been fantastic. Our administrator is especially happy with the tuition payment feature as well.
Cons
Downside is that customer support can be slow to respond and getting answers to questions sometimes takes a while because of the high volume of inquiries.
