Pros
Being able to work directly with Excel is a huge plus for me since it lets me stay in a familiar environment instead of having to learn an entirely new interface.
Cons
Initial setup and configuration can take quite a bit of time and I needed technical support to get everything in place. Performance can also slow down when handling very large datasets.

Pros
Reporting features and report generation are excellent in my experience. After a one-on-one session with support where everything was explained clearly, I started using it as a day-to-day reporting tool that our company now relies on.
Cons
Only recent downside came after we implemented a new system, Unanet. Since then, data updates have sometimes taken as long as an hour. After many calls with both Unanet and IT support, it was confirmed that the problem was with the Unanet database.

Pros
One thing that really stands out to me is how excellent the customer support has been. Whenever we send in a request, we get a response very quickly. After just a couple of training sessions, I felt comfortable using the system without much trouble. I'm also able to pull reports fast and keep access to current, up-to-date information. Once I understood how it works, it became a very useful tool for getting things done efficiently.
Cons
Coming from GL Wand which is client-based, the speed difference was noticeable at first. GL Wand feels instantaneous, whereas this one is a bit slower because it's cloud-based. That said we adjusted to it over time.

Pros
It has been a big help for our finance team and I've seen it make a difference when it comes to running critical reports during quarter-end and year-end especially for supporting the financial close process.
Cons
The only downside I've run into is having to update older reports as the system has been upgraded over the years. Since we've been using it for a long time some of our reports are outdated but the support team has helped us work through the issues whenever they came up.

Using it day to day has been a really positive experience for me. It's easy to work with and I've noticed all of the data and figures are pulled into the spreadsheet in under a minute. We rely on it every day and it's something our team really enjoys using.
Cons
Getting it set up for a new user or on a new laptop can be a bit difficult. There are times when the data does not pull in correctly, or the username entry causes issues. That said once the installation is done properly, it runs without problems. And if something comes up that we cannot fix ourselves, sending in a ticket usually gets a fast response from support.

Our team has worked with this software for more than 20 years and I've found the biggest advantage is how simple it is to use. The Excel integration is also very convenient and anyone familiar with Excel can pick it up quickly without much effort.
Cons
This may not really be an issue with the software itself but very large and complex spreadsheets with lots of formulas can sometimes take a while to load and finish calculating.

Being able to keep the core Excel functionality while pulling values back in to build financial reports is a big advantage for me. Standard out-of-the-box financials from ERPs often don't have the most polished or powerful presentation so I find this makes reporting look and work much better.
Cons
It does slow down occasionally when the report is pulling a lot of values back from multiple ledgers.

Connecting it straight to the ERP system is a big advantage for me because it pulls live data in real time. Creating financial reports with it is very simple and I find the drill-down from Accounts to Ledger a particularly helpful feature. The Query Designer especially for advanced IT users, is also very valuable for building ad-hoc queries, pulling operational data and turning that information into useful reports.
Cons
Uploading budgets into the system is one of the harder parts. The process is not very easy and ends up being quite time-consuming from a user's point of view.

The platform is very user-friendly for me and I see the MS Excel add-in as a big plus. Having near real-time data available also makes it much more useful for day-to-day work.
Cons
The initial setup can be a bit complicated and assigning licenses to each individual user usually needs help from the SPS support team to get everything fully configured. There are also some intermittent issues from time to time.
