“clean layout for experienced users”

Pros

Layout looks good and makes it simple for me to stay on top of everything especially since I'm already familiar with this type of software.

Cons

I didn't run into any issues myself but some of my colleagues struggled with it and found it difficult to use. It probably isn't the best fit for beginners.

“Excellent drill-down and flexible accounts”

Pros

Using this has been very easy for me thanks to the user-friendly design and overall ease of use. I find the drill-down feature works really well and the ability to create groups across multiple levels is very helpful. I also appreciate how flexible the chart of accounts is especially with the codeless setup.

Cons

Weaker areas are scalability when it comes to more demanding, hardcore ERP-level performance and the mobile version could be more effective.

“familiar but too many issues!!”

Pros

Having worked with this software for about 25 years, I still find the voucher and account functions familiar and convenient to use especially in version 9 (6.3.3) and older releases. Since I have been using the same software for so long, it continues to feel like a better fit for my routine work.

Cons

Since moving to the newer Tally features, the software has had many problems and often does not work properly. It keeps requiring Tally support and even the Tally partner is unable to provide much help.

“Excellent accounting and inventory tools”

Pros

Running accounting through this software has been very effective for me from both a business and auditor point of view. It connects well with GST return filing, income tax and several other related functions. The biggest advantage for me is the inventory management, along with salesman-wise sales tracking and commission calculation which makes my day-to-day work much more manageable.

Cons

One thing I'd recommend is improving report generation in Prime. It used to be much simpler in ERP but in Prime it feels a bit more complicated and takes extra time especially when working with GST reports.

Pros

Everything feels quick and easy for me to understand and I find it stays aligned with accounting standards and regulations which makes compliance much easier to handle.

Cons

Interface feels outdated and that makes the software seem too limited and not very flexible.

Pros

Running everything through this software has noticeably improved our overall efficiency and productivity. The automated accounting tools save a lot of time, real-time access to financial data is incredibly helpful and the pricing is more affordable than many other options out there. It also allows customization based on specific business needs, integrates well with other business software and the availability of Tally training and support whenever needed is a big plus. On top of that, the inventory management features are genuinely impressive.

Cons

The interface does feel a little outdated compared to other products on the market and the feature set is somewhat more limited than some competing solutions.

Working as a junior accountant at a medical consultancy firm, this software has been a game-changer for the way we manage our finances. It has completely improved our financial management process at the consultancy. The interface is user-friendly which makes even complex accounting work much simpler to handle. It does an excellent job managing a wide range of financial tasks, from billing to taxation. The real-time insights and accurate reporting have really supported our decision-making, making it an essential part of our firm's daily operations.

Interface is clean and easy which makes the software simple for me to work with. I also appreciate the customization options, remote access, integration capabilities, data security and the prompt reporting and analysis features.

Cons

On the downside, the feature set still feels somewhat limited and the platform can come across like an older version in some areas. Customization can get complicated and the quality of customer support and documentation could definitely be better. There are also some concerns around data security and backup practices.

“fast transactions and great reporting”

Pros

This tool is much simpler to understand and it makes recording transactions a lot more manageable for me. The shortcuts and predefined letters really help speed up my work and its integration with other software makes it a strong choice for tax computation and financial reporting.

Cons

Interface feels old-fashioned and a bit limited. There are still quite a few areas where the software could improve but updates do not come very frequently. It also gets hard to handle when entering bulk entries at the same time especially if you are not familiar with how the system works internally.

“better export options and narration”

Pros

Compared with the previous version I used, I find this one a much better upgrade. It's simple to use and the detail export options are available throughout which makes my work more convenient. In the older version, purchase order narration was missing but in this version that option is available and I see that as a big improvement.

Cons

Narration feature is actually one of the best parts because it makes each product much easier to identify. Having this option available helps a lot and makes inventory management much easier to handle.

The balance sheet, GST reporting and other reports are really useful for me and cover what I need.

Cons

I've been using it for the last 7 years and genuinely like it. Managing the accounts with it has been very simple.

“worst tally update ever!!”

Pros

Honestly I don't find anything in this tool worth liking from my experience. I used to enjoy the earlier Tally versions a lot because I found them user-friendly, comfortable to work with and very reliable for accounting and reports but this version feels disappointing.

Cons

After working with Tally since version 5.4 for the last 16 to 17 years, this feels like the worst update in its history. I have no idea who developed Tally 3.0 but it's a terrible release. Reports are not matching properly, GST 3B and trial balance show major differences, quantity details like UQC are not updated and the problems just keep going.

Pros

Handling petty cash details, payments and receipts, plus invoicing feels very easy for me with this software and the best part is how easy it is to understand while using it.

Cons

I haven't run into any problems while using it.

It's one of the most easy accounting tools I've used, with a clean, simple interface and really reliable support whenever I need help.

Default invoice templates feel outdated and should be refreshed to match what other software options are already offering.

Biggest plus for our team is how easy the product is to use. The layout is clean, the design is simple and our users can understand it right away without much explanation.

There really isn't anything to dislike because it handles what we need it to do. If anything, a little more polish to the visuals and overall design in the next version would be a nice improvement.

From tracking financial performance to handling expenses and more, I find this a full-featured accounting solution built to support businesses of any size.

Cons

Biggest downside is the cost. Since it's such a comprehensive platform made for businesses of all sizes, the pricing can feel too expensive for smaller companies.

Pros

One thing that really helps me is the use of shortcut keys for reporting, voucher entry, modification, alteration and bank reconciliation. It also handles tax reporting and other statutory reports well and I find MIS reports can be generated exactly the way management wants. Payroll is included too which makes this accounting software even more useful for me.

Cons

Customer support is relatively weak and the extra charges for customization are something that should ideally be avoided.

Great tool for me, it's a standard accounting software that handles reporting and invoicing well for regular day-to-day use.

Cons

A few things still need improvement, reports can't be emailed with a one-time setup, the current date has to be entered manually every day for voucher entries and when exporting reports, all of them show the same name as accounting voucher. It would also help to have more invoice layout options. Free WhatsApp add-ons with TDL renewal would be useful and GST reports 2A and 2B should have online comparison support.
