Pros

It provides the level of management we need to control the inputs and outputs required for our engineered-to-order projects. The system has proven extremely valuable for our Supply Chain team with materials procurement, for Project Management through accurate job costing and for the Applications Engineering group when working with legacy data. It helps align both data flow and information sharing across teams. I also find that new releases are rolled out smoothly and can be implemented with very little IT support.

Cons

Because of how our business operates, we rely on a third-party TMS to handle labor tracking electronically. While it plugged into it without any trouble, I'd still rather see that functionality built directly into the software as a native feature.

Pros

The system is easy to use and I can quickly locate the information I need. Reporting works well and both the item master and BOM features are feasible to manage. The setup process was quick and administration feels simple to handle. I also appreciate that technical support responds promptly and consistently provides effective solutions.

Cons

There's not much more I can add, the application performs exactly as I expected it would and only a handful of minor issues came up that were quickly resolved by tech support.

Cons

Due to the nature of our business, we currently use third-party TMS software to manage labor tracking electronically. Although it integrates easily with TotalETO, I would have preferred it if this feature were built directly into the software.

The software is easy to use, allowing me to quickly locate information. The reporting, item master, and BOM features are simple to navigate. The setup was completed swiftly. The administrative processes are smooth. Also, the technical support team responds promptly and consistently provides solutions.

There is not much to say here, the software does exactly what it is supposed to do. Any minor issues we had were promptly resolved with help from technical support.

Pros

One of the features I appreciate most about it is how it lets me quickly navigate and monitor parts. My team and I manage an inventory exceeding 10,000 distinct parts and keep track of hundreds of purchase orders we've sent out to suppliers. Being able to immediately pinpoint specific parts, see quantities on hand and estimate how long until ordered parts arrive is both efficient and essential for keeping daily operations running smoothly.

Cons

No new issues have arisen. RJ at it did a fantastic job helping me sort out a previous concern with the packing list feature.

From one release to the next, the system remains consistent. Improvements and new functionality are added in the background but the core product stays familiar. Because of that, I don't have to relearn the software or rewrite procedures every time an update is released.

Cons

The only thing that bothers me is that I instinctively treat input cells like Excel. Because it really uses a database some typing has to be done differently. It's not a deal-breaker once I get accustomed to it.

Pros

Interface is very simple and convenient which makes it easy for me to learn and to show others how to use. With each new release I don't have to relearn icons or workflows, they just keep layering on useful features and capabilities without changing the basics. In my experience it's been extremely stable on every workstation I've run it on. When questions arise the team treats them seriously and responds promptly. I also value the low staff turnover, it's nice to deal with consistent people who know our account.

Cons

Because it's a front end to a database, I find some of the data entry approaches feel more like database forms than spreadsheet-style input. Once you've learned the required parameters it's workable but I don't find it as immediately convenient as a traditional spreadsheet layout.

Pros

Total ETO maintains consistency from one release to the next. While they work on enhancing the background or adding new functionalities, the core product remains unchanged. There is no need to relearn processes or re-document procedures.

Cons

The only thing that occasionally frustrates me is my tendency to treat the entry cells like those in Excel. Since TotalETO is based on a database, certain typing steps require more attention. However, once you get used to this, it is not a major issue.

team is incredibly supportive and they're consistently willing to take the time to answer all of our questions in detail. They make it clear why certain approaches are recommended or avoided and they remain receptive to hearing new feature requests. Because they pay attention to customer feedback, they frequently roll out software updates.

this tool works really well for managing projects and keeping track of the items used on each one. I've found the search tools excellent for locating past projects or parts orders which makes it much easier to quote parts accurately. The reports are very detailed and help with many tasks, such as pulling up costing information when I need to estimate a similar project. Once you get familiar with the system it surfaces all the information you need. Entering data feels user-friendly and is forgiving when corrections are required. Most functions are fairly convenient and the range of report options gives several ways to share or extract information depending on what I'm looking for. Overall it speeds up quoting and keeps everything organized for our team.

An improvement I'd like to see is the ability to link documents in areas other than the sales order module. For example, in Purchasing I would find it very helpful to attach supplier quotes directly to POs so all related documentation stays connected.

A couple of improvements I'd like to see are the ability to link documents in areas beyond the sales order, for example in Purchasing so I can attach quotes to purchase orders and a simple way to create basic parts quotes.

I find that Questica is excellent for managing projects and keeping track of the items utilized in each project. The search functions perform exceptionally well, making it easy to identify past projects or parts orders, which is tremendously helpful in accurately quoting parts. The detailed reports assist me in various tasks, such as checking costs for similar project quotations. Once familiar with the system, I can access all the information I require. It is quite approachable in terms of data entry and is very forgiving if I need to make corrections. Most functions are simple, and the available reports provide various options for communicatinh information based on what I need.

Some improvements I would like to see include the ability to link documents in areas outside of sales orders, such as linking quotes to purchase orders in the Purchasing module, and the ability to create simple parts quotes.

This software helps our Engineering and Procurement teams stay closely connected and work more smoothly together. Before using it, we struggled to keep BOM updates synchronized with purchasing requirements. Now, creating parts quotes, packing slips and purchase orders is quick and feasible. From an engineering standpoint, we really value the greatWorks import add-in. The customer service has also been excellent, with very fast responses to questions and customization requests. I also appreciate that the team is open to feedback and willing to make improvements tailored to each company's needs.

Since it's built on Microsoft Access, it took me a little while to get comfortable with it, once I was familiar, it served our needs really well.

This software enables our Engineering and Procurement departments to connect seamlessly. Before using ETO, we faced challenges with synchronizing BOM updates and the purchasing requirements. The processes for parts quotes, packing slips, and purchase orders are remarkably quick and easy. I like the SolidWorks Import add-in from the Engineering perspective. The customer service is outstanding, and the response time for inquiries and customizations is minimal. I value that ETO is receptive to improvements and suggestions that can be tailored to each company's needs.

Since it is based on Microsoft Access, it does take a little time to get used to, but once you are familiar with it, it works very well for what we need.

Pros

It allows me to easily monitor all the projects I'm responsible for entering and expediting. While adding BOMs, I can quickly search for parts without leaving the BOM entry screen which makes the process much smoother. I also appreciate having the ability to keep multiple BOMs open at the same time.

Everything seems to work well and I don't have any complaints.

Pros

Tracking every project I've been assigned to enter and expedite is feasible and hassle-free. While I'm entering BOMs I can consistently find parts without having to leave the BOM entry screen which saves time. I also appreciate being able to keep several BOMs open simultaneously so I can switch between them quickly.

Cons

Performance can be slightly slow on older hardware but that's likely my setup rather than the software itself.
