Even though we're not a festival but a training organization with a co-production market, customizing eventival's features to meet our needs has been pretty smooth. With Eventival, we can manage all our activities comprehensively, from handling the application process (project submissions, reviews, and selection phases) to organizing hospitality, as well as targeted mailings and event invitations. The platform's flexible and easily customizable features allow us to track the progress of our projects, which is incredibly helpful for monitoring their development. The staff at Eventival is fantastic because they are quick, efficient, and always ready to listen to our needs.

I can access all functions from my smartphone but I find the mobile interface could definitely use some improvements. Navigating on a small screen can be challenging at times.

The staff consistently works on improving the software and offers fantastic individual training sessions. Their support is always quick to respond and resolve any issues we have. Additionally the Eventival team actively seeks feedback from clients to enhance the software and better understand user workflows.

Cons

Since Eventival is designed for a broad user base, the developers can't offer extensive customizations. However they do their best to accommodate requests. When I suggest a special feature, they often check with other users to see if it's something they would also find useful.

What I appreciate about Eventival is that it was specifically designed for film festivals. The connections between various modules are excellent, allowing us to track the entire journey of a film, from applications and selections to guest invitations, badge creation, event scheduling and integration with our ticketing system.

I've found that while it's possible to connect with other software through export options, a full API isn't available yet.

It took some time to fully learn the system. If I can't find something or figure out how to do a task, I usually reach out to the support team through their responsive chat. There are so many tools and options that I could spend days searching without success.

The query and advanced search options, along with export features and email templates, assist us in many areas, from invitations to marketing campaigns. Many workflows, like film scheduling and the accreditation process, have become more efficient thanks to Eventival. Plus, their support team is always available and genuinely committed to meeting the needs of our festival.

The interface is very detailed and offers numerous functions and options. Although it's improved since the last update, there are still many fields I don't use, which can feel overwhelming, especially for new staff who aren't familiar with Eventival. This often leads to a time consuming training process, particularly since festivals typically have a high turnover of interns and freelancers. I've also noticed that the visitor page isn't very mobile friendly and can be complicated for guests. Additionally the licensing fees might be a bit high for smaller festivals.

Eventival is a fantastic app for managing the three most detailed and complex areas of a film festival: films and scheduling, guests and communication/information. Once everything is set up, all the relevant information about guests, films and their details is interconnected, making it so easy for me to manage everything, especially when it comes to cross-referencing information.

Cons

The learning process can be slow and isn't always very simple, the interface isn't organized in the most user-friendly way, making it a bit difficult for us to get used to the software.

The team provides excellent customer service with prompt and efficient communication. The software allows me to customize queries and export the information I need from the database in just minutes, which is one of its greatest strengths. Film submissions, selection screenings and scheduling can all be done effortlessly with the customizable features.
