Speed and usability are both strong points

Pros

The interface feels very user-friendly and the software performs really well overall.

Cons

One downside is that the admin options can be a bit hard to locate within the interface.

Registration, payments and memberships well managed

Pros

There are plenty of features that help make registration, payments and memberships much more quicker for customers.

Cons

Getting everything set up and training staff does take some time. With so many options available, it took a while to configure but the support team was very helpful throughout.

The backend design feels outdated

Pros

Having the camps, classes and services gathered in one place is helpful and keeps things centralized.

Cons

The backend interface feels outdated and there are countless ways to pull information which makes reporting and referencing numbers feel chaotic.

I do not reccomend this software!

Pros

Using it on the end-user side is fairly direct and for the most part it's simple to navigate.

Cons

Reporting feels very restricted and the customer service has been awful. We've contacted support countless times just to get a credit card reader set up or to fix something like a missing check and either nobody responds at all or the reply comes far too late. That's just not acceptable. I'd strongly suggest looking at another system because this one really misses the mark.

Many modules are available

Pros

A big plus for us has been the broad selection of modules the system offers.

Cons

When it came to reporting, we had to spend extra to get more detailed data and information that still needed to be cleaned up or manipulated. A few functions are broken as well and those issues sit with their development team. We're also continuing to move items online but we need more options to configure that properly.

customer-facing design looks modern and polished

Pros

Something that really works well is how much information the platform can collect from participants and features like scheduled reporting make it even more useful. Having the ability to export in different file formats also helps a lot with my workflow. On the customer-facing side, the design feels clean and modern which leaves a good impression. I also appreciate being able to test and work through things in the sandbox.

Cons

The back-end though, is not as appealing. It looks outdated and feels more complicated than it should be.

Financial reports are hard to customize

Pros

One thing that's been really helpful is how much the software can be tailored to fit our specific needs.

Cons

At the same time, the financial reporting side is hard to understand and not very flexible when it comes to customizing the reports we actually need.

reporting options seems almost endless

Pros

There seems to be no end to the reporting options in ActiveNet which is a big plus.

Cons

Few of the reports exported to Excel still need improvement. They include a lot of unnecessary columns and text that should stay in one cell sometimes gets pushed into another cell on the row below, creating an extra row too.

Registrations and payments are both handled

Pros

Keeping up with recreation registrations is simple with this system and handling payments is just as convenient. It also does a nice job of tracking user photos and the season each person is active in.

Cons

The only real issue comes up when the system goes down and the website can't be accessed.

New features arrive without disrupting operations

Pros

One thing that really stands out is how actively they keep adding new features that benefit the end user and that ends up helping us as well. Updates come out regularly and they roll out so efficiently it barely feels like anything changed at all.

Cons

A feature missing for me is color coding. It feels a bit plain in that area and looks somewhat dull on the eyes.
