“The team provides feedback”
Pros
Right away, Aerie made a big difference in how I manage plans and documents. Like any computer-based system, you only get as much out of it as you put into it but I've been able to add a lot of plans and files with help from the Aerie team and the self-upload feature has been a huge benefit too. The compliance side has also been a major win. I can pull up compliance information for AHJs within minutes on my Surface or just send them a link to access it which is a massive improvement over the seven binders I used to haul around the facility during inspections. Another thing I really appreciate is how open they are to feedback. Over the years, whenever I've noticed something missing or not especially user friendly, I've submitted suggestions to Aerie. They review those ideas and sometimes I later see them implemented. Even when they don't make a change, it's good knowing they listen and if a request improves the product for the majority, they usually act on it.
Cons
At the beginning, there were quite a few features that didn't feel very user friendly. That said, this has basically turned from a negative into a positive because Aerie kept improving and updating the product over time. That ties back to my comments about feature suggestions in the pros section since they've clearly been willing to evolve based on user input.
