Pros
One thing that really works well is how easily it connects with other systems and communicates across them. It gives operators a clear graphical view and strong visibility into building management overall. On top of that, it allows remote control and monitoring of each system's operating condition which helps improve energy efficiency across the building.
Cons
The downside is not really with the software itself. The challenge comes when working with third-party systems because we first have to understand their setup before we can figure out how to control and monitor it properly. Getting their protocol is often difficult and in many cases their technicians don't clearly know how to provide the interface port and protocol information we need.

The interface looks good and getting it installed was simple and direct.
Cons
Desigo Optic's programming side is a bit more complicated than with other controllers that use WinCC.
