“Great for tracking building performance”
Pros
I really like the Measurement & Verification (M&V) feature. It does a really solid job of tracking building performance accurately while factoring in the variables that can affect energy consumption. The dashboards are also very flexible and quick to put together so it's easy to move from a broad portfolio view into much more detailed analysis when needed. On top of that, the metering setup interface feels user friendly and efficient which saves a lot of time when configuring assets and keeping everything managed properly.
Cons
Cost can be a sticking point especially when compared with some other options on the market. For smaller portfolios, it may feel like a fairly significant investment. The feature set absolutely makes sense for larger or more complex estates but for organisations with lighter energy management requirements, the value for money case can be harder to justify and the barrier to entry feels higher.

“impressive dashboards”
Pros
Using this platform has been a really positive experience mostly because of how user friendly it is. Putting together comparison graphs is easy, the regression models can be built quickly and the dashboards look excellent. It comes with some really strong features and has become my go to energy platform. MRI also keeps pushing forward with new ideas and continued innovation.
Cons
Over the past few years though, it has turned into a costly option and that's making us consider other providers. I'd also love to see energy budgets handled across multiple years or at least be able to copy them from one year to the next instead of rebuilding them from scratch every year.

“flexible reporting options”
Pros
Right away, the wide range of customization options on the platform has been a big plus. Customer support is consistently responsive and whenever I have questions, I get answers quickly. The system is easy to use and the user manuals make the learning process much easier. On top of that, the reporting features are very helpful and do a solid job of supporting our clients' needs.
Cons
Timeout settings would be better with more flexibility for users who need longer session periods. The graph color settings could also use a better interface especially one that lets you make changes while in graph mode without losing your existing edits.

“broad range of uses”
Pros
Right away you're able to tell that this platform has an incredibly broad range of us. It offers multiple ways to analyze data, build reports, set up metering, manage alarms, create dashboards and import data. There's also a high level of control when it comes to configuration, whether you're working on energy management, preparing reports for external users or troubleshooting data transfers.
Cons
The biggest downside is the cost which can be quite high especially for newer customers. Also even though the platform comes with a fairly detailed manual, the sheer number of features can make some functions hard to understand without extra support and that may mean paying for additional training.

“communication capabilities are a bit lacking”
Pros
The guest card feature worked well and the traffic reports were helpful and reliable.
Cons
A downside was not being able to send emails directly from the software or text residents from within the platform.

“powerful reporting”
Pros
Interactive dashboards, dynamic report generation, alarm setup and data quality analysis are all really useful features and add a lot of value to the system.
Cons
Custom calculation tools could still be improved especially when it comes to setting up those calculations directly in the system for reports or custom data sheets. That said, the eSight support team is always available and willing to help with configuration whenever needed.

“custom dashboards with helpful support”
Pros
One thing I really appreciate is how customizable the dashboard is. It lets you make engaging charts which can be designed however you want. It's really easy to get the exact view or chart you need. The training and tool support provided are also very helpful and leave a good impression.
Cons
While I appreciate the level of customization available it is hard to actually make full use of it as the interface doesn't feel very user friendly. It could definitely be improved to make navigation and using the platform easier. There are also times when some data goes missing after being imported into the tool which can be frustrating even if the support team helps us resolve the issue later.

“comprehensive energy data suite”
Pros
Across the many automated monitoring and targeting platforms we use in our energy bureau services, eSight stands out as the most complete and wide ranging set of tools for managing energy data that I've worked with.
Cons
On some tasks, setting up and configuring analysis, reports and alarms across a large number of meters can feel repetitive and take quite a bit of time. eSight is looking into new ways to make alarm configuration and similar processes more efficient.

“timely updates”
Pros
Something I really appreciate is the customer relationship which has been consistently very good. Importing data is quick and simple and it doesn't take long to build polished energy reports. I also think the release schedule which is roughly every 6 to 8 weeks fits our needs well.
Cons
Interface could feel more easy to use because right now you still have to move between quite a few pages to get your work done.

“clean layout”
Pros
Over the last few years, the team has really revamped the product's look and feel along with how it works. It's now much simpler to reach the information you need without having to click through as many screens.
Cons
Even though the software itself is getting better, the marketing materials haven't kept up at the same pace. That becomes frustrating when we're trying to close new opportunities and need stronger supporting content.

“Huge variety of custom reports”
Pros
Regular improvements keep the software moving in the right direction and it's clear that user feedback actually helps shape upcoming features. Another big plus is being able to request custom report development when something more specific is needed.
Cons
I'd still like to see more AI built into the platform. It would also be better if development took more of a forward thinking, one step ahead approach instead of mainly reacting to user requests.
