“accurate estimates”
Pros
Lets me pull accurate information for estimates which has made a huge difference for us. We can get quotes out much faster than before and even take on bid sites we would normally pass on. We also use the software for snow engineering maps which helps our crews figure out the best way to handle each specific account.
Cons
Price does feel a bit high but once you start winning bids, it ends up being a worthwhile investment for the search.

“Better than other options out there”
Pros
It's available when I need it and for precise locations and takeoffs it performs better than free options like Google Earth.
Cons
Some of the newest images were captured after snowfall which makes them useless yet you still get charged for the search.

“handy templates”
Pros
Easy to use and worth the money. The color coded setup helps a lot and being able to create custom templates makes it even more useful.
Cons
One thing it's still missing is automatic takeoffs especially for blueprint takeoffs.

“accurate measurements for planning”
Pros
Measuring areas and distances in this software helps us estimate labor costs more accurately. It also lets the production team map out projects ahead of time and review everything with crews and clients before work begins.
Cons
Something to keep in mind is that we have to buy additional lookups from time to time although there may be another option available that I just haven't come across yet.

“Image resolution is impressive”
Pros
Using this has been a big upgrade. It's very user friendly, the image resolution is consistently impressive and the accuracy is excellent. Measuring sites takes far less time than doing it manually with a measuring wheel which has been a huge benefit.
Cons
An improvement I'd really appreciate is the ability to split measured areas into multiple sections and assign each section to a different category. Right now, large measured areas can be divided by cutting them but those newly separated sections still can't be categorized individually.

“useful map uploads”
Pros
Getting started was pretty easy especially for someone who isn't very tech savvy. The platform feels user friendly and the Nearmaps uploads work really well and are useful for much more than just landscape design work.
Cons
I'd change is the selection of icons for plant materials, hardscape materials and similar items. It would help if they were easier to expand or if the system included more built in options because the limited choices can make plans look a bit generic.

At times even when I upload a high quality PDF, zooming in can still make the image look blurry.

“Measuring tool works well”
Pros
Area measuring tool works really well and seems to be quite accurate.
Cons
Property line data isn't very accurate. Also if there's already a project in the system and you open a new one with the same address, there's no warning that it already exists and you still get charged for the lookup. On top of that some addresses can't be measured because the image quality is poor but the lookup fee still applies anyway. I was told I could call in to request a credit but that's not always practical when I'm short on time. Charges should really apply only when actual measurements are made, not just for lookups.

“marking up plans is easy”
Pros
Measurements come out very accurately and marking up plans is easy and works really well.
Cons
The measuring workflow could be more organized. For instance if I just want to calculate square footage, I still have to add material and go through extra steps to do it.

“reliable square footage visuals”
Pros
It has both the data and the visual output together which makes this a really valuable deliverable for clients. It gives them a clear way to verify and back up square footage which is one of the most important factors in any estimate.
Cons
Image quality can vary quite a bit from one year to another. Seasonal differences and the time of year when the image was captured can affect the results although being able to choose from multiple years does help reduce that problem.

“accurate property measurements that save trips”
Pros
Being able to measure a property accurately without actually going on site has been a major time and efficiency saver for us especially when putting together lawn care and snow removal estimates. One thing we really value about Go iLawn is that it doesn't just measure the property as a whole, it can separate the different sections of the lot as well. That makes it much more precise when calculating only the grassy areas for mowing estimates, excluding landscape beds and concrete or isolating just the landscape beds when pricing maintenance work. On the design side, I also export the property file from Go iLawn and use it as an overlay in my landscape design software. That gives me a reliable base map so the house, sidewalks, trees and other structures are positioned correctly before I begin designing. It has saved me more than once from making an extra trip just to recheck a measurement. That said for any landscape designers considering it, Go iLawn is definitely helpful but it is not a replacement for an actual site visit.
Cons
The part I'm less enthusiastic about is the pricing model. You need a subscription just to access the software and even after paying for that, you're still capped at 10 "free" searches each month. Once you go beyond those 10 searches, you have to buy more and the extra searches start at $60 for another 10. That setup feels a bit restrictive especially if you rely on it regularly and have a heavier workload in a given month.

“Aspire integration saves time”
Pros
After using this program for years, I've seen it keep getting better. Now that this tool is part of Aspire which we already use for the rest of our business, it's been a big advantage. Having that integration in place saves us a lot of time, helps us estimate more accurately and gives us a better shot at winning more jobs. Our teams work more efficiently because of it and that ultimately leads to more profit.
Cons
It doesn't handle absolutely everything but that's not really an issue for us. We already use separate landscape design software for that side of the work.

“too many bugs”
Pros
The platform is very user friendly and the tutorials are genuinely helpful. I also really appreciate how well it integrates with Aspire which makes the estimating process much more convenient.
Cons
The biggest frustration has been locked changes and how recent edits get backed up into both local and cloud versions. There were times I had to redo an entire takeoff because those changes disappeared from the saved versions. On larger areas, the quantities also don't line up correctly and the software could definitely use more features.
