Safety Champion has been a very useful safety and compliance portal for our organization. Every single task in the system feels important and relevant and it supports our work really well.

Cons

User interface could be improved a bit and the downtime during preventive maintenance could be reduced. Thanks.

“fast incident reporting”

Pros

Submitting incident reports for my clients through this platform is one of the best parts of using it. It makes the whole process simple and convenient to complete and send off.

Cons

Works really well for managing incident reports but when I need older reports, I still have to ask my manager for them.

“handy safety tracking tools”

Pros

Keeping on top of WHS and safety requirements is much more manageable with this system. Staff can follow and handle company and industry safety guidelines without much hassle. It's also really helpful that incident and report entries can be as brief or as detailed as needed, depending on the situation. Another useful feature is that contractors can access the system as one time users which makes following WHS procedures and protocols much more convenient.

Cons

One issue is that the app notifications are not always reliable so staff sometimes do not realize their assigned tasks are coming due. That tends to cause frustration when HR has to keep chasing people for follow up and it can end up putting staff off using the app.

“Acessible tool”

Pros

A big reason this worked so well with our team was the user interface. When you're training workers on a platform, having something accessible that people can use on phones, tablets and other devices makes a huge difference and it definitely helps boost adoption.

Cons

The one area that still needs work is how the newer modules connect with each other. Once the system can tie recurring inspections to things like mobile plant and related risk assessments, it'll be exactly what I need for the way I plan to use it.

Its components line up well with legal requirements which is a strong advantage.

Cons

Investigation section doesn't provide enough flexibility to customize how an incident review is handled. If that could be expanded, it would do a better job of supporting safety culture development and helping teams improve control measures.

Incident reporting seems to be limited to human health only.

Works really well for a small number of users and the fact that it's free makes it even better. It's simple to use and covers exactly what's needed.

Pros

Brings together all of ADA's safety legal requirements, information, records, documents, reminders, certificates, MSDSs, inspections, reports, contractor management, risks and more in one program making everything so convenient. It was also a major factor in helping ADA successfully achieve ISO 45001 accreditation in 2023.

Cons

Only challenge was getting familiar with the terminology and the different access levels used within the tool.

Pros

Since signing up for this, everything has gone very well. The weekly check ins with our cilent success associate during the build phase were consistently useful and combined with the online training resources, they made it simple to customize the system to our company's needs. The product has been very user friendly for us, both when it comes to setting it up and for our staff using it day to day. It feels user friendly and staff have needed very little training to get comfortable with it. Before this, we were relying on paper and spreadsheets without any centralised task system. The way the modules connect with each other, such as HR, training and incidents, as well as contractors, insurance and planned maintenance, has been especially valuable. It has saved us a lot of time and has also encouraged more people to report hazards and incidents because the process is much easier. Our Maintenance Team has also been making good use of the Action and Safety Plan modules to handle their maintenance work.

Cons

As with any system, there are a few small improvements we'd still like to see in future updates but there's nothing significant causing concern.

Pros

Running a small business, I've appreciated how easy this product is to use. It helps me keep track of the key things that matter, like incidents, corrective actions, recurring compliance tasks and completing inspections and audits. I'm not using every module at the moment but it's reassuring to know those extra features are there if my team grows over time.

Cons

It's still early on but I honestly haven't run into any downsides yet. If it keeps performing like this, I can't really see that changing.
