Right from the start, the interface felt user friendly for everyone involved, whether that's hosts, visitors, operators or system administrators. The integrations framework is especially strong, with support for access control, third party cloud to cloud connections and custom connectors. I also appreciate how flexible the platform is when it comes to fitting those integrations into a broader security governance and risk mitigation strategy. On top of that the system architecture is innovative and makes it much easier to navigate, manage and track activity across office locations around the world.

Cons

Our setup involved a lot of complex requirements so onboarding ended up taking longer than we originally expected. Still, once everything was configured and in place, the system started running very reliably so in the end the extra time was absolutely worth it.

“fantastic support team”

Pros

The sales and support teams were incredibly helpful and worked with us to modify the software to our specific needs. During the trial, our ambassadors commented on how user friendly it was and needed very little training to get started. Whenever small issues came up, the support team responded quickly and made the necessary adjustments for us. It has been a very good fit for us at IMG Academy.

Cons

I honestly don't have any complaints to note. It delivered exactly what it promised.

Built with high security environments in mind, this software is very customizable for meeting contract specific security requirements and industry best practices. It also connects nicely with other applications for employee rosters, single sign on and background checks. On top of that the support team is knowledgeable and patient whenever changes are requested.

Compared with other systems, I haven't run into any major issues.

It was nice that visitors could register themselves without much effort.

At times though, the kiosk doesn't show the person a visitor is trying to meet so that person has to be added manually.

The notification template setup is quite fiddly and takes a lot of manual effort. The WYSIWYG notification editor is very basic and sometimes runs into parsing problems so I end up copying and pasting from Notepad just to remove unwanted characters. The access control integration is also still having issues and is under investigation. A few reports had to be specially requested even though they're usually standard. On top of that some features get updated or changed without any notice.

Using this app has been a dream especially because it combines strong functionality with a very user friendly setup for people who aren't technical.

Cons

Web GUI feels a bit dated visually although that's something that could definitely be refreshed with an update.

From the start, Splan's unified badging PIAM combined with a top tier visitor management solution has worked really well within our enterprise systems. We've been very happy with how it all connects and the usability has been a big plus for our team.

Cons

We haven't run into many problems with the software. It has been fairly easy to implement and using it day to day has been just as manageable.

The software packs in a lot of useful features while still being very easy to use. It feels simple to use from the start and makes getting things done much more convenient.

One downside is the frequent upgrades and a few features still feel limited because of certain restrictions.

Getting started was easy and the feature set has been excellent. We've especially appreciated the different options available in the visitor management side of it.

At this point, everything has looked really good. The features have been impressive overall and we've already put it in place at our office.

Switching from our old visitor management setup to this has been one of the best decisions we made and after using it for more than a year, we're still very happy with it. A lot of our visitors and employees have shared positive feedback and have been genuinely pleased with this visitor solution. The SigninEasy mobile app has been especially well received by our staff. We also started using its deliveries module and it has cut our administrative time in half while making sure we never lose track of a package.

Cons

This tool itself is excellent though it doesn't seem to get the level of marketing attention it deserves. Before choosing Splan, I reviewed 10 other visitor management systems and many of those vendors were heavily promoting much lower quality products. It honestly deserves far more recognition for the work they've done to improve the visitor experience.
