“privacy concerns overshadow everything”
Pros
At a basic level, it does what it's supposed to do. Letting people into the building is effortles and I do appreciate having a log that tracks visitors coming in and out.
Cons
That said, having cameras constantly interacting with us and collecting data feels far more harmful than beneficial. Everyone I know feels the same way and walking into the building with that in place just leaves people discouraged. It usually gets eye rolls and a sense of disappointment that this is the direction things are heading.

“remote access made effortless”
Pros
Using Swiftlane has been a really positive experience especially when it comes to giving remote access to the office. The part I appreciate most is how simple it is to help someone who gets locked out of our suite doors, just one button and I can let them in right away.
Cons
One thing that bothers me is that it sometimes goes offline. That said, the support team responds quickly which I do appreciate.

“guest pins are easy to use”
Pros
The camera usually does a solid job recognizing me when I'm opening the door and being able to create my own guest PINs is really convenient for letting people into the building. The app is very user friendly too and doesn't take much effort to use.
Cons
The camera fails to recognize me sometimes when I'm trying to get in because of glare. A shield over the camera might help it identify tenants more reliably.

“Doesnt work well especially in winter”
Pros
Face recognition makes entry quick and convenient when the system is working properly. I also really appreciate the PIN option since it lets trusted family and friends get access too.
Cons
It's incredibly frustrating when the system fails and that happens far too often especially during the winter. The screen gets stuck on its interface and won't let me use Face ID, enter a PIN or access anything at all. That's awful when you're standing outside in 10 20 degree weather.

“reliable building access”
Pros
Getting into the building has been very efficient for both residents and visitors and being able to manage everything from my phone has been a really useful feature.
Cons
Only real downside is that when the system goes down, getting into the building can be difficult. Aside from that, I really didn't have any other negatives to mention.

“organized access with flexible entry options”
Pros
Entry into my apartment building feels secure and convenient with this setup. I can open the door using face recognition, a PIN or the unlock feature in the app which gives me a few reliable options depending on the situation. It's also helpful that delivery drivers can call me and I can buzz them in without having to go downstairs.
Cons
I've noticed that the outdoor camera seems pretty sensitive to sunlight so face recognition can be difficult at times. Also, the magnetized lock on the front building door doesn't always close or lock the way it should.

“fast response time”
Pros
It has been very easy to use and the mobile app has been consistently reliable too. Even things like changing a password or reaching technical support are simple and quick.
Cons
Once in a while it can get a bit slow from a distance but that has only happened maybe once a year. Other than that, my overall experience has been positive and when my mobile app access was blocked, they resolved it very quickly with just a single email request.

“Swiftlane review”
Pros
Entering through the door without punching in a code has been really convenient. It keeps my hands free which is especially helpful when I'm carrying groceries or other things and just need to get inside.
Cons
It does get a bit frustrating when the system isn't working the way it should especially since I'm so used to relying on the facial scan and usually don't remember the password.

“connected access works well”
Pros
Everything feels cohesive across the product which I really appreciate. The integration with the mobile app and Siri makes the whole experience feel connected and convenient to use.
Cons
There are still a few minor glitches here and there and when the app software gets updated, the iPhone tools on the website need to be updated too. One feature I'd still love to see is automatic door unlocking or opening through Bluetooth when my phone gets near the door.

“Convenient entry with face ID”
Pros
Being able to get in without a key thanks to the facial recognition has been really convenient. I also enjoy the sound the door makes although the denied tone for my partner, who doesn't live here, feels a bit too loud and harsh. It would be better if the system also played the acceptance sound when he enters using his code.
Cons
I didn't really get a say in having it installed and I'm generally not a fan of facial recognition because of the surveillance concerns tied to that kind of data. It honestly feels a little unsettling even if I can admit the convenience is appealing.

“customizable vistor codes”
Pros
Having the ability to customize visitor codes, whether they're recurring or one time, has completely removed the need to hand off keys. I also really appreciate having multiple ways to get in, like tapping open from my phone, using face scan or entering a code directly. Having that kind of flexibility is a big plus.
Cons
However there are still a few issues. It can be somewhat buggy at times and the system occasionally needs to be reset which can be difficult if nobody is inside. If it goes down without us realizing it, we can miss packages and it becomes pretty disruptive. I also think there may be some bias in the facial recognition software. From what I've seen, it seems like the system may have been designed primarily around white male faces since it appears to have a harder time scanning and approving women and people of color. On top of that, when a package delivery buzzes in, the phone app sometimes glitches and won't let me open it. I'm not sure whether that's a Swiftlane problem or something related to my phone.

“resident management done right”
Pros
Adding residents and keeping their profiles updated is quick and being able to add fobs while also viewing multiple properties all in one place is a huge plus.
Cons
Haven't run into any real issues so far and nothing about the product has made me rethink its quality at all. I'd definitely recommend it.

“useful video capture”
Pros
I was able to get set up in the system when I moved in almost right away and when I requested a name change, it was updated within an hour. The video capture for delivery drivers has also been really helpful.
Cons
The panel is placed a bit too far from the door though there's still enough time to get through before it times out.

“Handy bluetooth access”
Pros
The interface is very user friendly and adding PINs for visitors is easy. I can also unlock my apartment door with Bluetooth when I forget my keys which has been really convenient.
Cons
Only issue that comes to mind is that if someone buzzes the door and another person answers and lets them in, the app can still show that I accepted the call and opened the door even when I didn't.

“gives us a sense of security”
Pros
Having the front door stay locked gives both my clients and me a real sense of security and nobody has to wait outside in the heat or cold for someone to come let them in. Letting clients in from my phone is really convenient and the video feature helps me confirm it's actually the person I'm expecting.
Cons
There have been a few bugs that needed to be ironed out which was definitely inconvenient but I still think it's worth using. At one point, the screen panel went blank and we were unable to get inside.

“Brilliant facial recognition control”
Pros
Facial recognition works really well and having separate passwords for different people that I can manage is a huge plus.
Cons
One thing I'd change is having the door buzz when it unlocks, like my old system did because sometimes people don't realize it's open especially at the second door in our building.

“clear visitor history”
Pros
Being able to respond from my phone no matter where I am has been really convenient and I also appreciate having access to the full history of who rang the bell with a clear photo, date and time.
Cons
Once in a while the intercom in the lobby would freeze while searching for a tenant's apartment number, then redirect us so we had to start the process over. It didn't happen often but it was a bit annoying even though it wasn't a major issue overall.
