“Slow setup”
Pros
As we've been building out a preventive maintenance program for our work order processes and equipment upkeep, the technical support team has been consistently available to help us shape the workflow and overall direction. They've been very thorough when it comes to setting up our company data in the system and the one on one training has been helpful for clearing up questions and addressing concerns along the way.
Cons
It would have helped a lot if training videos or a built in learning platform had been included from the start to cover basic software functions so users could train staff more effectively and understand the kinds of errors that might come up and how to fix them. Some formatting and functionality also need improvement, like being able to make small grammar or wording updates without having to rely on technical support to import tables and reupload something for a single text change. It should also be much simpler at the admin level to create and reorganize equipment IDs and assets as company processes grow. Certain functions are too difficult to reach and general navigation takes too many clicks in places. Updates about its changes would also be better delivered through video rather than just written descriptions since visuals would make interface changes much easier to follow. And when technical issues come up, it would be beneficial to work with or choose, a technician who already knows our past issues when handling future support requests.

“Customizable asset tracking potential”
Pros
Plenty of customization is available and I can already see the potential it has for tracking assets and equipment across multiple responses. It still needs a bit of tweaking but I'm already testing it live now.
Cons
The TEMP/DMP module is where things really fall apart especially when it comes to managing the order of work procedures. It's very poor in its current state and definitely needs serious tweaking. If that part were improved, this would be a much better product. That area may seem friendly on the surface but it really feels like not much input from actual maintenance personnel went into it.

“reliable maintenance integration”
Pros
Having this software in place gave us a solid way to organize and manage equipment maintenance. It also works very well with our main ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017 and that integration was a major factor when we chose a CMMS solution.
Cons
While Im not personally using it day to day, I also haven't heard any complaints from the people who do so there's nothing specific I can really call out.

“Quick NAV/BC CMMS addition”
Pros
Coming in with previous experience in the ERP space and knowing how strong Microsoft is with NAV/BC, adding TAG as a CMMS service fit in perfectly and felt very efficient.
Cons
This may be more about our internal process as our services continue to evolve. We provide both testing and maintenance and in some cases equipment testing does not necessarily lead to an ongoing maintenance customer. We are still working out the best setup and figuring out the right data management process.

“flexible interface”
Pros
The NAV integration being built in is a big plus and both the web platform and desktop client are useful to work with. Another feature that really helps is being able to attach related requirements to work orders so the warehouse team can process everything more efficiently.
Cons
A few reporting options and KPI views are still missing which limits visibility in some areas. It's also frustrating that recurring tasks can't have more than one PWO created at a time since the current one has to be completed before the next can be generated.

“Powerful controls”
Pros
Right away, the date meter policy and Preventive Maintenance tools make a big difference because they help avoid costly reactive maintenance which can get outrageously expensive. The software is very modular and simple to work with. It really supports industry best practices by simplifying maintenance procedures and day to day operations, while improving visibility, control and productivity. It also gives a clear, comprehensive view of the equipment hierarchy which is especially valuable for large plants managing huge volumes of equipment, parts and related assets.
Cons
It would be even better with tighter integration into the standard Fixed Assets module. Integration with standard item consumption during TAG work order processing could also be improved a bit. There are still some missing features around outsourced maintenance especially in cases where third party companies handle equipment replacement or repairs.

“easy to use”
Pros
From the start, our team appreciated how easy the system is to use. We got strong buy in from all of our end users because it's fast and simple to pull exactly what you need from the program.
Cons
There's a bit of upfront work required to set it up the way you want. That said if you invest the time at the beginning, things become much easier once you're live.

“solid maintenance tracking tools”
Pros
Keeping up with equipment and asset maintenance is much more manageable with TAG. It does a really good job of tracking upcoming machine maintenance, generating work orders and keeping a record of past maintenance activity and machine breakdowns.
Cons
This isn't as user friendly as some other CMMS platforms. There's definitely a learning curve especially for someone new who hasn't worked with NAV before.
