has plenty of build options

Pros

The form builder is very user friendly and the workflow setup gives enough flexibility to create detailed, well rounded forms with plenty of build options.

Cons

Something still missing is a true auto save feature. It would be much better if the platform offered a simpler way to save data especially to avoid losing information while out in the field.

useful checklist tracking tool

Pros

Using this tool has been really helpful for monitoring issues tied to technicians' on site tasks. As the work gets done, they fill out the checklist and every issue stays clearly traceable.

Cons

Building forms could be more efficient because question numbering and destinations aren't assigned automatically. If that part were automated, it would save my team a lot of time.

great enterprise fit

Pros

From a business and technical standpoint, this platform really closes the gap between what teams need and what can actually be delivered. It makes it possible to roll out complex, logic based mobile workflows quickly without having to build a full custom app, while still offering strong integration options with enterprise systems. That mix of speed and scalability is hard to find. It also delivers well across form customization, project management, the learning curve, customer support, overall stability despite some bugs and issues and value for money.

Cons

Once workflows get highly complex, they can be harder to maintain. Deeply nested logic, large repeating sections and calculation heavy forms can impact performance and troubleshooting is not as easy as it would be in a traditional development environment. On top of that UI customization is a bit limited which can be a drawback when you need a more polished or premium user experience.

flexible forms with useful integrations

Pros

Getting everything up and running didnt take much time and the Google integration along with the data it captures helps us deliver important information to the right people. It can also be customized quite well to match specific requirements.

Cons

With phone cameras producing much larger image files now even after compressing them as much as possible, forms still hit the 20MB cap which prevents us from adding more photos to a submission.

reliable support

Pros

There's a lot to appreciate here: the learning curve is manageable, it delivers solid value for money and the customer support team has been consistently helpful. Workflow management and project management are handled well and the form customization options make it practical for a wide range of use cases. Bugs and issues haven't been a major problem overall which adds to the positive experience.

Cons

A few areas could still be improved. The implementation options feel somewhat limited and it would be better to have a lot more flexibility in the feature set. It would also be very useful if the web portal allowed user level error checking feasibility since that could help catch issues faster.

form builder held back by lag

Pros

Designing forms is simple even for someone without a lot of IT knowledge and the layout is clear for users when they need to fill a form out.

Cons

The frustrating part is the delay after creating or editing a question since every automatic save takes quite a while.

Powerful integrations

Pros

Form optimization tools work really well and it connects nicely with a wide range of apps we use regularly across the company.

Cons

At times building forms and setting up conditional logic gets a bit tricky especially with more complex forms. The conditional logic could definitely be improved.

offline field capture feature is great

Pros

Out in the field this mobile app does a really solid job of collecting information while work is happening. I can enter everything offline which is a huge advantage when I'm in places with little to no cell service. The GPS tagging is also very useful since it records the date and time the information was entered along with the exact location, including the GPS coordinates.

Cons

Using it from my laptop at home can be frustrating because it sometimes freezes while I'm typing. The reporting feature also feels more frustrating than it should. Exporting data sounds like it should be simple but the format is sometimes off so I end up having to adjust the data before I can export it properly. Another issue is that once the data has been synchronized, it can't be edited anymore. That's particularly annoying when I notice a spelling mistake or realize I entered something incorrectly.

easy to make edits

Pros

Being able to make edits on the fly in the app has been pretty handy. What really surprised me was customer support. The rep actually made the edit for me instead of just sending me off to read a manual somewhere. I was also concerned the offline feature wouldn't hold up in the basement of a flooded house but it's worked exactly the way it should.

Cons

Syncing is still a real pain though. Sometimes the crew has to hit force sync five or six times before everything finally decides to go through which gets frustrating fast. The backend is also a nightmare to look at if you're not very computer savvy. And I really can't stand when photos disappear completely. At that point, who knows if they were deleted, corrupted or lost for no reason and the customer ends up with a totally empty box.

mobile workflows that deliver

Pros

Right away the mobile first design made a big difference for our field teams. They're able to capture data while out in the field and offline access is a huge plus when connectivity isn't reliable. The form and workflow customization has helped us tighten up our processes and cut down on paperwork. Connecting it with systems like Salesforce and SharePoint also went smoothly which has made it much easier to keep all of our data centralized.

Cons

Getting everything set up at the beginning can be somewhat technical especially when dealing with advanced workflows or API integrations. And while the interface works well enough, there are parts of it that feel a little dated and could use a more modern update.

solid setup

Pros

The documentation is really well done which makes creating users and getting started with SSO or connecting an API key very easy.

Cons

Overall the application feels very solid. I just haven't used it long enough to comment on much else besides not being a fan of the UI.

user friendly checklist boost

Pros

This software has really improved how efficiently we put together checklists for our daily tasks. The interface is very user friendly so creating and organizing content takes less time and feels much more manageable.

Cons

An issue with the program is that it sometimes crashes while I'm creating content which means I have to restart it. Sometimes my work is still there afterward but other times some of the information gets lost.

useful tools

Pros

Creating and customizing different forms is very easy and managing users by adding or removing them is simple as well. It also works really well when it comes to adding data sources and actually using them.

Cons

I personally miss the old branding but that's just a personal preference. Aside from that, the platform has been very useful for what I need.

paperless forms with faster response

Pros

Switching to TrueContext let our company move away from paper invoicing and manual form submissions. Even though, as a subcontractor, we only had access to a limited set of features, it still made a noticeable difference and helped us respond to customers more quickly.

Cons

The older version of the website felt dated and we had to install an extension just to download invoices faster instead of pulling them one by one.

Quick rollout across our team

Pros

Using it has been quite easy from the start. Creating forms is simple and flexible which makes it quick to deploy and customize for different needs. The drag and drop builder, along with the conditional logic, works well for putting together more complex workflows without much hassle.

Cons

Something it's missing is a built in reporting feature out of the box. Support is usually helpful but when the issue gets more complicated it can take a while to get fully resolved.

fast invoice lookup

Pros

Being able to attach pictures is really valuable for our business and pulling up an older invoice is quick when we need to resend one to a customer.

Cons

Updating the invoice layout can be frustrating especially when trying to add another field. We also asked to have the $ symbol included on our invoice since we work with money but that request was never implemented. It almost feels like they don't use that symbol in Canada.

Pros

Right away this platform felt user friendly. The mobile forms are simple to complete and customize and that really helped us simplify how we collect data in the field. It also works well with the other platforms we use which ends up saving us a lot of time.

Cons

Now and then syncing can be a little slow especially when the connection is weak. And while the app is definitely powerful, setting up more complex forms does come with a bit of a learning curve.

simple to use

Pros

Its easy to use and set up. TrueContext University made onboarding new team members much simpler especially when it came to learning how to build forms.

Cons

Overall our time with TrueContext has been a good one. That said, we have run into a few problems, mainly bugs and differences between the Windows and iOS apps. To make access easier and create a more consistent experience across platforms, we'd much rather have a web based version instead of depending on the Windows app.

reliable offline reporting

Pros

Getting started with it is simple and one of the biggest benefits is that files are saved offline and the report gets sent once everything reconnects. The backend API integrations are a really nice bonus too.

Cons

One frustrating part is the lack of a live customer support line. Even when I was trying to upgrade or make changes to my account, the response time stretched into weeks.

Useful platform

Pros

Something that really works well is how many different data sources and destinations can be connected to a form. It's also very useful that the platform can generate several document types and DREL/Handlebar documents are easy to set up and configure.

Cons

Form building can be challenging for non technical users and it doesn't feel as easy to use as some other platforms out there. We've had a hard time teaching customers to create their own forms so our team usually ends up building them for them.
