What Is Appenate?

Appenate is a no-code software platform designed to help businesses build custom mobile apps and forms without needing to write code. Instead of using paper forms or relying on expensive, custom-developed apps, companies can quickly build and deploy their own mobile tools that are tailored to their exact needs.

In short, managers can use Appenate’s drag-and-drop builder to create custom forms or mobile apps. Then, they can publish these forms directly to field workers' mobile devices using the Appenate app. Workers can easily open the app, fill out forms, take photos, scan barcodes, or collect signatures—even when offline.

And it can be used by medium to large businesses, resellers, and solution providers across various industries, such as field service, construction, healthcare, and utilities.

Appenate Pricing

The platform offers two main subscription plans—Standard and Premium—with pricing based on the number of users. The minimum required is 5 users, and both plans can be billed monthly or annually.

  • For monthly billing (based on 5 users):
  • Standard: $59.50 total ($11.90/user/month)
  • Premium: $89.50 total ($17.90/user/month)
It also offers a 15-day free trial, providing a generous window for you to explore the platform before making a full purchase. If you need more information, you can contact us for personalized Appenate pricing.

Appenate Features

Appenate’s no-code drag-and-drop interface allows users to create custom mobile apps and digital forms without programming skills. This feature is ideal for businesses looking to replace paper-based processes with dynamic apps for inspections, timesheets, or inventory management. The intuitive design reduces development time and empowers non-technical teams to build solutions tailored to their workflows.

See How It Works

This feature allows users to quickly transform static PDFs, Word documents, or Excel files into fully functional, dynamic mobile apps without manual rebuilding. The converted forms retain their original layout but gain interactivity, such as fillable fields, dropdowns, and validation rules. Users can further refine the design using Appenate’s drag-and-drop Form Designer.

See How It Works

It enables secure digital signatures via QR codes, eliminating the need for physical contact or device sharing. Clients can sign directly from their smartphones, streamlining approvals for contracts, deliveries, or compliance forms while maintaining hygiene and efficiency.

See How It Works

Businesses can fully rebrand Appenate’s apps with their own logos, colors, and fonts, publishing them to app stores under their company name. This strengthens brand identity and customer trust without the cost of developing a custom platform.

This technology converts images of typed, handwritten, or printed text into machine-readable digital text. Users can simply drag an OCR field into their app, capture an image, and the text is automatically extracted and stored.

Helped me make my forms and inspection processes more efficient

Pros

The best part about this platform for me is how quickly and easily I can make and submit inspection forms. I can customize my forms in just a few minutes with its simple drag and drop interface. Plus advanced features like barcode scanning, digital signatures and drawing have helped me make my inspection process more efficient. It has improved my overall efficiency and I like it very much!

Cons

At times it can take a bit long to load media and attachments especially when the files are on the larger side. Not that this does happen often but still there have been moments where attaching images or documents to my inspection forms took longer than anticipated.

Overview of Appenate

Pros

Its very user friendly and managing employees with different profiles is as simple as it gets. Appenate is definitely the most powerful tool I tested especially when it comes to the calculations and functions you can control in the background. Appenate is the top choice if youre someone who prefers the app to handle the heavy lifting instead of relying on server power. I find it more appealing when my apps do all the work and send the results back in turn reducing the load on the server.

Cons

My main issue with the software is that once you start using it with a lot of users, the focus shifts to developing an app that fits your needs. The development costs eventually pay off in the longrun. This is especially true in developing countries where we are paying in USD.

Cons

We were attempting to create a form we would have summarized data. I reached out for help to get the result I wanted but it still hasnt been fixed. Looking forward to hearing from the team.
