Avoid ServiceWorks at all costs

Pros

The software has potential but the mobile app is completely unusable because of bugs and constant crashes.

Cons

The mobile app has more bugs than a rainforest and it's honestly unusable. When I raised the issues during the onboarding process, nothing got fixed. They just told me to keep trying. This software is so buggy that it shouldn't have been released yet.

Struggling with ServiceWorks -

Pros

When it works, it's great. About 80% of the time, the software works perfectly fine, just as it should.

Cons

The support is nonexistent. We submit tickets and they just close them without doing anything. We reopen them and we get no response. I've been waiting on an urgent ticket and all they've told me is "try again in 2-5 days." I also have a ticket that's been open for a year now.

Could do better with QuickBooks Online

Pros

As the bookkeeper for a Serviceworks user I find the software collects detailed information that helps me prepare the financials.

Cons

The interface with QuickBooks Online was a nightmare to set up. There were so many errors, like missing invoices. We had to give up and just pull reports manually instead. The reports are also hard to trust because of all the variations and you have to complete jobs in a specific way to get accurate sales data. The POS system was built on top of the existing software and it doesn't match the workflow for retail customers. Customer support was available but they didn't seem to know much about how this all ties into accounting.

Not great for what I need

Pros

Honestly, I can't think of anything I like about Serviceworks.

Cons

Honestly, everything about this software frustrates me. The mobile app crashes constantly, and I lose data. There are bugs and glitches everywhere, things lag when I upload them and tech support never fixes anything after I report it. It's just awful.

Pros

I appreciate the monthly calendar views and being able to check specific details about job locations.

Cons

The app refreshes every time I press a button, so I end up thinking I haven't submitted something when I actually have.

Pros

The Accounts Receivable system isn't the easiest to use and parts ordering isn't much better either.

Overall good tool!

Pros

It has everything I need to do my job. The features are strong but they can be tricky to understand and set up at first.

Cons

The design is really not easy, so it's hard to figure out all the different features and how to get things done. It could really use a UX/UI designer to make the whole experience smoother.

Really happy with ServiceWorks

Pros

Serviceworks has really streamlined our scheduling, dispatching and invoicing. It's so much easier to keep accurate service records and detailed job notes now!

Cons

Overall, Service Works is a decent platform. I'm more comfortable with the desktop version, though. The app works okay but we do run into glitches and bugs now and then.

Been with them since the beginning

Pros

I've been a loyal customer since 1997 when it was still SwiftLink. I'm still with Serviceworks because I haven't decided which company to switch to yet but I'm honestly not happy with the service or the product anymore.

Cons

The biggest issue is the lack of customer service. The excuses never stop and the accounting features are just terrible.

Consistently reliable

Pros

I like the dispatching, assigning and scheduling features for our techs. It's great being able to assign and change customer credentials, and I love the option to have multiple tickets for one customer. Also, being able to allow third-party contractors access without giving them full editing rights is awesome.

Cons

The mobile app definitely needs work and the backend admin system could use some improvements too.

The main reason I stayed with Serviceworks was that my data got transferred over from Swiftlink.

Cons

I really appreciated the way my schedule was laid out; it was easy to follow.

Cons

The app is full of bugs, especially when I try to use it on my mobile. It doesn't save data when I'm offline and has trouble updating once I'm back online.

Good tool!

Pros

I like being able to create jobs and keep track of the service history for each one.

Cons

I can't change the customer a job is assigned to. I have to cancel the current job and create a whole new one for the correct customer.

Pros

Avoid wasting time and money on ServiceWorks

Pros

I don't like anything about this company! It's a scam! They'll take your money, waste your time and mess around with you. Do yourself a favor and find a better solution because this one is a huge headache!

Cons

The training, support staff and operations are a joke! They've been completely unhelpful and honestly, it's not what I expected at all.
