“Test Date Logic is a Major Issue
Pros
Stripe integration with Syncta makes credit card processing seamless. Customers can pay their invoices via email and it automatically updates and marks the invoice as paid. Additionally it auto-completes Tokay test reports which I like about it.
Cons
The software only calculates the next test due date in one way. But some purveyors use a different method, so you have to update those dates manually. If a test is done early, like after a repair, the system adds 12 months to the original due date plus the months it was done early. This can push the next test almost 24 months ahead, which causes problems with notifications and compliance.

“Excellent software with excellent customer support
Pros
The software is quite easy to use and covers most of our requirements. We really like the ability to send test results and invoices right away and having a customer database is very important for us. However we have faced some minor technical issues like broadcasts not displaying correctly to our customers which has caused a bit of embarrassment. But whenever we have contacted tech support, they have always been quick to resolve the issue and have been very friendly. All in all it is a solid platform that just needs a few minor adjustments to become truly excellent.
Cons
Most of the features are simple to use but we have run into an issue with missing customer notifications due to preset drop down options. Recently a broadcast email we sent out turned into gibberish for at least half of our customers which was quite embarrassing.

“Ideal solution for our business
Pros
Everything is online now so we have completely eliminated paper. The customer support is amazing too and the software is really easy to use. It makes managing everything a lot more efficient.
Cons
It would be awesome if there was a way to filter data within the software. While we can generate reports, a filter option to search by date, purveyor, etc would make scheduling large groups for testing much easier.

“Works but has some privacy concerns
Pros
I love that I can access customer information easily and the mobile functionality is a huge plus.
Cons
What I don't like most about this software is the privacy issue. Employees can see my data without permission, which feels uncomfortable, even if I agreed to it when buying the software. The software is easy to use, but moving between pages is frustrating. If I leave a page, it's hard to return to where I was. For example, when entering many new devices, if I make a mistake and go back, the screen takes me to the top again. Setting it up with my business was smooth, but adding all my old customer information has been very time-consuming.

“Good value despite the price
Pros
I use this for my non-database customers which means I only use it for certain tests, mainly outside my larger water purveyor area.
Cons
The system can be clunky at times. As after reviewing the test, there is no simple way to send the reports. We have to review it first, then go to the drop-down menu, click submit, select the reports we want to send (usually all in a batch) and then click submit again.

“A Valuable Tool for Client Management, Pricing Model Doesn't Fit Our Needs Though
Pros
The saved database for our annual customers is a huge asset making it easy to access and manage their information whenever we need it.
Cons
It is frustrating not needing the service for half the year yet we still having to pay for it.

“Works well but no offline access
Pros
It really simplifies the whole process of testing and submitting paperwork.
Cons
If you do not have cell service, you cannot access the database at all. I always have to carry paper and pen or use the "notes" app on my phone. I mean it is crazy that there is no offline access to the database.

“We can't work without it now
Pros
The best features to me are definitely the ability to create and send test reports and invoices. Testers can generate and deliver test reports right on-site. Invoicing and receiving payments are quick and easy thanks to the integrated Stripe payment system.
Cons
I still need to use accounting software like QuickBooks for parts of my business that are not related to backflow testing but Syncta handles testing and invoicing so well that this small inconvenience is totally worth it.

“great value for the money
Pros
Being able to access inspection reports even before the technician returns to the office is a game changer. Also it is pretty easy to send results to various water purveyors. And if any questions arise the support team responds quickly to us and fully understands the issue.
Cons
When we are editing an address with multiple valves listed, it is frustrating that after we save the changes, the screen does not bring us back to where we were. Like we have to scroll back down to find it which is very annoying. Other than that I love everything else.

“Been using it for almost a year and very satisfied
Pros
Well I use it for scheduling, invoicing and sending batch notifications to our annual customers. It helps me stay organized and keeps everything running smoothly.
Cons
In my opinion the mobile app needs improvement. If the service is not perfect, I get an error and have to restart the app or sometimes it won't load at all. It would be really helpful if I could enter data offline and sync it later when I have better service or Wi-Fi. Also adding customers especially when connected to QuickBooks is a bit slow and time-consuming process.

“Helps us eliminate a lot of paperwork
Pros
The ability to store all device information is a huge time-saver for us. As it eliminates the need to write down device details every year and helps testers quickly identify which assembly needs testing.
Cons
The test steps for a reduced pressure assembly are in the wrong order, and because you have to scroll to enter results, it's easy to overlook information.

“Ideal software for handling backflow testing
Pros
I really like having all my backflow customer records in one place, neatly organized. As it allows me to easily read my testers reports.
Cons
It is a bit pricey. Uploading backflow customers from QuickBooks was difficult too so I ended up manually entering each account.

“Our team loves this time-saving tool
Pros
We love how it remembers device locations and numbers. The crew was incredibly helpful in getting a report that our city would accept. Also it is great that it automatically emails city water purveyors and clients. Plus there are so many customization options to suit our needs.
Cons
Nothing really. The tech support is always friendly and helpful even with my dumb questions.
