“Accurate results”
Pros
It clearly shows the final labor cost totals and the material cost totals. It also builds a complete material takeoff form that you can submit to whichever supplier you choose which saves a lot of back-and-forth.
Cons
Every once in a while it resets in the middle of a takeoff and I have to restart the whole process from the beginning.

“support that really helps”
Pros
The customer service has been outstanding. They take the time to walk me through how to use the program, even though I'm not very technical and needed extra guidance.
Cons
Only downside I can think of is that I don't fully understand all the functions in the program yet.

“user-friendly bidding program”
Pros
Ease of use. I'm not much of a tech person but this is super user-friendly. It matches exactly what I was looking for in a bid program.
Cons
Haven't come across anything worth complaining about.

“Im satisfied”
Pros
I'm still getting the hang of it but the takeoff feature has been genuinely helpful. Compared to my old pen-and-paper and scale-rule workflow, everything feels much quicker.
Cons
Since I'm still new, it doesn't feel fair to complain about anything yet. I'll wait until I'm more confident and can tell whether any issues are actually the software versus my own errors.

“Liked it overall”
Pros
The flexibility in how you input measurements, the different material types available for takeoff and the ability to export takeoff results in formats like PDF and Excel all stood out to me. That combination makes it pretty practical for real estimating workflows.
Cons
It's a bit limiting when you need to load multiple drawings into the estimating software, right now it only lets you process them one at a time. That's usually not a big deal but it can slow things down if you're dealing with dozens of drawings.

“support is great but software feels outdated”
Pros
So the customer support has been outstanding whenever I've needed help. That said, the program itself is pretty outdated and I've been waiting for an updated 64-bit version for years. After using the product for about 15 years, I'm extremely familiar with how it works and where it fits into my workflow.
Cons
Customer support is responsive and helpful but the outdated 32-bit architecture and frequent freezes make the actual estimating process frustratingly slow and unstable.

“fast and accurate”
Pros
It's accurate and runs quickly. The way it works feels pretty direct and the overall process is easy to understand once you're in.
Cons
The base calculations are fast and accurate once set up but the confusing pricing update process and lack of clear confirmation can make you doubt the final numbers.

“Decent experience”
Pros
Pretty easy to use and the screen takeoff feature is a big plus for cutting down on wasted paper and ink. Instead of re-printing and starting over, it helps organize what I need to do.
Cons
Occasionally the software freezes and it can make you re-enter all the job details from scratch. Also, an improved WENDUCT version was apparently planned about two years ago but I still haven't seen any update or newer release.

“easy use and standout support”
Pros
Super easy to use and the customer support has been excellent. I contacted them and ended up talking to two different people, both replied right away which was really reassuring.
Cons
I'd love to see an electrical program available in the same format.

“user-friendly workflow”
Pros
The products feel really user friendly and the take-off process runs smoothly from step to step. Whenever questions come up, the help desk is quick to respond and ready to assist with any issues.
Cons
When switching from one size to another, I wish it would automatically recognize the new size and keep it, instead of requiring me to manually tell it to change to the next size.

“simple to use but needs work”
Pros
So it's easy to use and I didn't need any real training to get started, that i would say was the good part!
Cons
Estimating of equipment hours doesn't work out as well as I'd like. I also wish AC/R piping was included. I'm looking for a single estimating software where I can open a project and generate a quote without jumping through hoops, plus it would be nice if updates were released regularly and the process for downloading didn't involve sharing passwords.

“Great built-in schedules”
Pros
Directly downloading drawings from within the program is a huge help for getting the bidding process moving. The labor hours and material schedules included in the software feel realistic right out of the box and they can be tweaked to fit your specific needs if you want to design the estimates.
Cons
I liked it, no cons to report

“drag-and-drop pricing feels smooth”
Pros
Once everything is set up, the workflow is genuinely simple, just click and drag and the pricing updates stay neatly within the line.
Cons
Getting it set up comes first and you'll need a bit of time to learn how it works afterward, just like with any software tool.

“So on point!”
Pros
This software has made estimating way quicker and surprisingly accurate. Whenever questions come up or I need guidance on something inside the program, Gene and the team at Wendes are responsive and help out every time.
Cons
I haven't run into anything I truly dislike. I was a bit hesitant at first because I wasn't excited about changing how I estimate but after using it, I'm really glad we made the purchase.

Pros
Having never used an estimation program before, I was surprised by how simple this one is to get going with. I started taking off projects within the first day and it's genuinely saved me a ton of time so I can focus on other parts of my job.

“Results that speak for themselves”
Pros
Using this software took just one day of training and it quickly generates results with accurate numbers. It also feels pretty foolproof, it doesn't really leave room for mistakes.
Cons
I didn't run into any real downsides at first. I was just a bit confused by the amount and length options when I was getting started.
