“route tracking done right”
Pros
EROAD gave us a reliable way to stay on top of driver Hours of Service while also keeping tabs on vehicle locations for tracking and route planning.
Cons
At the time it didn't offer as many additional features and considering the price we were paying, we ended up moving to another provider.

“Helpful ELD compliance tracking”
Pros
It did a great job helping us monitor driver ELOGs, stay compliant with Hours of Service requirements and keep routes on track.
Cons
It didn't provide the full range of safety and maintenance tools that other platforms offered which is why we eventually moved to a different solution.

“Communication is a huge issue”
Pros
It is easy to sign up for, install and train our drivers on. Also it is permanently mounted to the dash but is small enough that it does not get in the way.
Cons
Communication with Eroad is absolutely terrible. Like any business, we have management changes, so I have had to reach out to them multiple times. I left tons of voicemails, sent countless emails but got nothing back. We added new trucks and needed more units but months passed with zero response. After trying repeatedly, I finally reached someone who gave me the contact for the Director of Indirect Sales. He was shocked we even got his number, said he would look into it and later ghosted us. When we decided we'd had enough and wanted to cancel, they refused to let us out of the contract. We even asked where to send the units and offered to just pay out the rest, but they zero respond. We just want to make sure we're not being charged after the contract ends and they won't even answer that. So if you value your time and money, STAY AWAY from this company!

“Yet to maximize its potential”
Pros
It's great for tracking trucks when the GPS is up to date. Sometimes, though the location can be hours behind which is not ideal.
Cons
The monthly cost is high and trying to get help when we have an issue is absolutely impossible.

“No response, it feels like they vanished into thin air”
Pros
Nothing positive to say, really. But I guess their ELDs work sometimes.
Cons
Their customer support has completely disappeared over the past couple of years. It takes days or sometimes weeks to reach anyone. And if you do call, be prepared to sit through endless hold music. At least they finally got rid of live chat, since no one was answering it anyway.

“Way too behind competitors”
Pros
Honestly, nothing good to say. They do nothing. Only make fake promises.
Cons
Everything about this company is a mess. Their customer service is nonexistent. When we signed up, they promised us the world, but then they started with another company and completely forget about this one. We were left to figure things out on our own. We are trying to run a business, but they clearly don't care.

“Used to be great, not anymore”
Pros
Quite easy to use with simple point and click compliance. Also it works great for keeping track of logs and handling weight-mile taxes.
Cons
The new reporting system is missing key details and is way less user friendly. Also it is not as accurate as it used to be before their so called upgrade.

“Once loved, now disappointed”
Pros
EROAD software itself is not bad but good luck trying to cancel devices when your contract is up. I have been emailing for months with no response. Calling did not help as after 20 minutes of endless ringing, I gave up. I even tried the live chat and after 13 minutes, still nothing. If only I could screenshot my experience so you would see exactly what I mean.
Cons
Customer service used to be great but now it is the worst. I honestly cannot wait to move on and never deal with this company again.

“Powerful back office features”
Pros
Eroad has been very user-friendly and comes loaded with plenty of useful features for the back office. Their support team is also very responsive, listens carefully and genuinely works to resolve any problems that come up.
Cons
The driver portal is not as easy to use. On top of that the kiosks we rely on often have poor reception and don't offer an option to connect online.

“convenient driver behavior tracking”
Pros
We use this program to keep an eye on driver behavior including speeding, hard braking incidents and daily route tracking for drivers.
Cons
One thing that gets frustrating in the reports section is not being able to quickly switch back to the original page after reviewing a driver's history, speed events and similar details. Printing is also an issue because it only captures part of the page instead of the full record such as overspeed events by location and date/time. If there's already a way to do this, then I probably need some training on it.

“Clearer workflows and real savings”
Pros
Compared with the software we used before, EROAD is much easier for users to understand. Since the features make sense right away, the back-office problems we used to have basically disappeared. That change alone gave our operation a big boost and helped lower overall costs.
Cons
We run 3/4 ton pickup trucks in our business and those vehicles are only part-time commercial motor vehicles. We'd really like a faster way to switch a vehicle into non-regulated status. It is already working on that feature and once it goes live, it should make a big difference for our operation.

“Costly and overly complicated”
Pros
At least the GPS seems to function the way it's supposed to.
Cons
Getting in touch with support or an actual person has been nearly impossible. The required contract term is too long and the service is expensive once you're locked into it. On top of that there are too many features which makes the whole system feel overly complicated and adjusting logs is difficult for both users and administrators.

“positive review!!”
Pros
Having geofences and messaging built in has been really helpful. I don't personally use the tax and fuel side of the product but I know our company relies on those features as well.
Cons
Every now and then the GPS doesn't refresh like it should. The other day I actually had to call a driver to make sure everything was okay because the location hadn't updated for four hours.

“easy setup for semi trucks”
Pros
Using it has been very easy and getting everything installed in semis is simple as well.
Cons
My only complaint is that it doesn't work with 2019 to 2020 GM pickups. Since GM switched to a global type B plug, there's no communication between the dongle and the ELD.

“Vehicle tracking that delivers”
Pros
Every day I rely on it to check where our construction crews are during their shifts. Since we work across separate job sites, it helps me judge how much progress they've made based on their location. It also lets me know the right time to reach out and when not to call, like when they're back at the motel sleeping. We've even used it to help police recover stolen vehicles by providing location details. Overall it's been an extremely useful tool for keeping track of where employees are and knowing when I should or shouldn't contact them.
Cons
I cannot think of any major problems with it. The only minor issue is that the mobile app can sometimes be a little hard to use, mostly because of the limited screen size on my phone.
