Pros

Overall everything works well. We can generate several reports to better understand our vehicle maintenance expenses.

Cons

When entering parts at the beginning of the month for the previous week, the inventory doesn't adjust to match the work order date.

What I appreciate is that creating a purchase order is very easy with it..

Cons

In the purchase orders, when you reach the work order section, it would be appreciated if you could access the open work order without switching windows.

Perfectly meets our needs!

Pros

The MIR-to-MIR security round has saved us a lot of time and frustration. We can now identify major, minor or cosmetic issues with our trucks in real-time and intervene much faster. This results in quicker availability of our units and happier drivers as repairs are done without delays.

Cons

The process of entering invoices and managing inventory is a bit complex.

Software designed to manage maintenance costs

Pros

MIR offers an immense range of features. It helps efficiently manage all our maintenance needs and integrates well with our accounting suite. The technical support team does an excellent job.

Cons

The software offers many features but becomes complex when configuring it to meet the needs of our business. The software's response to keyboard shortcuts is different from many other applications, which requires an adjustment period.

Info and tracking features are very good

Pros

Once we got to know the system better, it provides a lot of information and tracking. It's easy to retrieve data and the presentation is very visual with many icons. IT support is usually fast.

Cons

At the training stage, it has too much new information at once. When the software is unfamiliar, it feels overwhelming and we wonder how we'll find our way around it. There should be more practical training using real data (units, internal and external work orders, inventory etc.). During implementation, we encountered some difficulties with the GEOTAB and SAGE gateways. There was also a lack of training for the accounting gateway. When moving data entries, sometimes we're blocked by an auto-generated checkbox and using the "plus" button isn't always intuitive. Inventory adjustments don't transfer to accounting, we need to create a work order for that.

MRT is perfect for data sharing

Pros

Everything works well for us, data sharing via Isaac and accounting integration with Sage are the best features for me.

Cons

When MIR updated its visual layout, I had trouble finding easily accessible apps, like assigning the maintenance grid by vehicle or group.

Our mechanics are very happy with it

Pros

The notes we add to vehicles for future repairs or when we have time are now in the system. Mechanics can now see these repairs with just a click. This leads to better tracking of fleet repairs.

Cons

In 1.5 years of use, we've had two issues. All PEP schedules for trailers disappeared without anyone modifying anything. The virtual unit garage disappeared, and we lost all historical data.

Task planning has become easier

Pros

I enjoy planning tasks for employees and tracking maintenance in this software.

Cons

It's complicated to generate certain reports. For example, figuring out how we billed in a day or generating a list of parts ordered in a week. When we change a license number, it also changes in the work orders in the history.

Good could be better

Pros

The ordering section is easy and efficient but it often has bugs, leading to data loss.

Cons

it has good features but can be improved

Pros

Tracking fleet, task scheduling, work orders and real-time MIR features are the features that are my favorite.

Cons

The inventory part is generally well done but some aspects can easily cause confusion. Queries and reports need significant work to meet our needs. The tire module is very heavy and complicated. The order, back order and core management could also be simplified.

Fantastic software but challenging to deploy

Pros

The software communicates with our Acomba accounting system. It's the tool we use for daily work order management, inventory management and tracking repairs on our units. We've also started using Mircheck, which allows for pre departure inspections on mobile phones and sends them directly to the software. It's an efficient platform that generates an impressive amount of reports.

Cons

The accounting gateway is particularly difficult to implement and there were several bugs initially that we managed to resolve. Navigating the software is not easy at first, and the maintenance tracking is complex.

A complete software solution

Pros

It fell very complete and easy to use after proper training and practice, both for maintenance and inventory. Our reports are made faster and more effective, providing excellent details.

Cons

It requires proper training, which DataDis provides but you need someone dedicated to managing and ensuring the product's efficiency on a daily basis.

Very flexible tool

Pros

It's great that several modes are available: RT, mobile along with MirCheck and MirNote. The flexibility of this tool for managing our reports is a huge plus.

Cons

Well organized app, need to work more

Pros

Warranty tracking is really well organized and the scheduling of specific maintenance points helps keep the fleet so managed.

Cons

It's difficult to find a note made by a technician on a specific unit such as who adjusted the hitch on unit X last time. You have to go through each work order individually. Also repair notes, parts and comments are entered sequentially, even if they're unrelated. The more notes and maintenance you have, the slower your system is to open in the planning section. The program seems to be designed for a fleet of 200 units or less. Work orders open twice before you can make any changes. The answer I got was that MIR is confused because we've modified the columns and page sizes too much. There is no fleet overview and you can't do two things at once. You must open a second MIR session. You also have to use TruckMate to see unit locations because the two programs aren't integrated. The maximum number of people connected is limited, and additional access costs extra.
