“time-saving route planning”

Pros

For us the biggest advantage is how much time this platform saves and how much our volunteers enjoy using it.

Cons

I'd like the program to offer more features. I also think having some level of database access would be a welcome addition.

“coordinates causes address inaccuracy”

Pros

It helps me make better use of my day so I'm able to fit in more client visits.

Cons

One frustrating part is that it loads longitude and latitude instead of actual street addresses. That isn't always accurate and a lot of the time the pin ends up on the wrong side of the road or not exactly where the location really is. It's often a bit farther down the street or before where navigation says to stop. When I type in the street address myself though, the navigation works correctly. It would be much better if the system stopped relying on coordinates and uploaded the actual street address instead.

“Valuable route optimization at a fair price”

Pros

Creating and optimizing routes has been the most valuable part for our team. The product is also very easy to use.

Cons

It fits into our system really well and to be honest I wouldn't change anything.

“Dependable mapping”

Pros

Assigning routes to drivers is pretty simple and the mapping works well.

Cons

Getting the first route configured isn't very user-friendly so it could be challenging for someone without prior experience.

“Tiresome route data upload”

Pros

Route optimization does its job well and sharing routes by email is a really useful way for us to make sure drivers have access to the route plan.

Cons

The data upload process feels tiresome and there's no cloud-based option for saving route information.

“cookie-based data entry creates many problems!”

Pros

Being able to set everything up through a bulk spreadsheet import was a huge advantage for us. It made loading more than 500 addresses into the system very quick. Also the whole program was quite simple to learn. Setting routes is fast and overall it has been a very cost-effective option that fits our needs really well.

Cons

Something that's been frustrating to me is that the program is cookie-based which leads to repeated data entry in routes after the initial setup. It's a little hard to explain but since we make multiple updates every month, saving routes and adding new properties doesn't always carry forward when I reopen a route from before those updates were made in the main setup. With the amount of driver turnover we've had over the past 3 months, this has become even more inconvenient. If I open a project from a couple of months ago to make changes, I often have to re-enter the properties again into that specific project. That process feels inefficient and frustrating.

“Reasonable pricing”

Pros

The route optimization has been really helpful to us. The pricing also feels very reasonable for what it offers.

Cons

We've only been using it for a few weeks at this point and we haven't come across anything bad.

“route mapping with excel export”

Pros

Being able to map routes and export everything to Excel has been really valuable. I need that so I can send the information back out to my crews in the right routed order and it handles that well.

Cons

Nothing to complain about at this point. Everything has been working really well.

“Quick implementation”

Pros

Using this program has been quick and simple for our company because it fits well into our daily work.

Cons

It only shows either the optimized route or the route I selected. It would be better if it offered several route options to choose from.

“accurate route optimization with quick employee onboarding”

Pros

The interface is very functional and accessible so my employees were able to learn it quickly and start using it without much training. The optimization and map plotting are extremely accurate and that makes my day-to-day work much easier.

Cons

Only thing this product really seems to be missing is the ability to add time window constraints to the optimization.

“worth every penny”

Pros

After three years of using this software, I can say it really delivers. It does exactly what we need and it has absolutely been worth the cost. Our drivers especially appreciate the route sheets and it's helpful to have a clear view of what they're working with.

Cons

There are still a few glitches here and there and if the text file isn't formatted perfectly some locations don't appear. I also wish it would save the route start and end points automatically when going back in especially when customizing each territory.

“fast route setup that never crashes”

Pros

Setting routes up is very easy, it works quickly and it has never kicked me out while I'm in the middle of planning. I can also build route spreadsheets that help me share ETAs with our customers.

Cons

I'm completely satisfied with it, no complaints.

“caching issues affect maps”

Pros

Juggling several routes at once is a big plus with this software. I also appreciate being able to organize stops into separate folders and the stop time/minutes feature helps make the schedule look much more realistic for the day. Sending route links by email is useful too, along with the other sharing options.

Cons

After using it for a bit I noticed that an issue comes up with caching. Sometimes stops I removed still remain on the list. There are also times when locations or stops do not appear on the map right away and I have to zoom way out before they finally load which happens with routes too. Moving stops from one route to another feels more complicated than it should be. It would also help to have an option to change the departure date. Additionally the map can be a little outdated at times and occasionally places an address in the wrong location.

“natural transition from Streets and Trips”

Pros

I've been using Streets and Trips for years and moving over to RouteSavvy was a very natural transition. The customer support has been excellent and the pricing is really hard to beat.

Cons

I want to see a time and date stamp displayed on the current map view. It would also be really helpful to have offline access.

“Spreadsheet upload maps locations instantly”

Pros

Uploading a spreadsheet is all it takes for the system to map out our locations which saves a lot of time. We mainly use it at the start of the year to plan routes for all of our audits so we don't take advantage of every feature. It's remarkably simple to work with. I've also been able to train several coworkers on it without much trouble.

Cons

Only good things to say.

“dependable routing tool at reasonable pricing”

Pros

Over the last 3 years this software has been one of those tools that just works. We've never had to contact support for anything beyond adding users which says a lot. It's an excellent option to keep as either a primary routing platform or a backup and the pricing is extremely reasonable. We already use dynamic, intelligent route optimization tools and this fits in really well alongside those systems and processes. For general-purpose routing, it's ideal because it's very user-friendly and requires virtually no setup. They continue updating the platform and it stays simple to use. One feature I personally really appreciate is how quickly you can draw shapes, then capture and export the data inside the polygon to CSV. With a team of more than 100 people, we genuinely see Route Savvy as a competitive advantage and one of our secret weapons.

Cons

One thing I'd like to see is the ability to optimize every stop across all shapes at the same time and export data from all shapes in a single step.

“stop optimization with route flexibility”

Pros

What really stands out is how well the software optimizes stops while still giving you the flexibility to move stops from folder to folder and fine-tune the best possible route options.

Cons

A feature I'd still like to see is stop details and ETA appearing on the map icon when you hover over it after directions or route optimization has finished. It would also help if users could click and drag the route onto a specific street when they already know a road the trucks can't use.

“Mapping tool with route selection limitations”

Pros

It's basically a mapping tool but one useful advantage is that it lets you add more stops to a route than Google does.

Cons

Running a business with 3 to 4 trucks daily, this software feels restrictive because routes have to be selected before entering the addresses. Other routing tools make it much simpler to move stops from one driver to another. It also doesn't auto-suggest or pinpoint addresses while you type which leaves more room for mistakes.

“hundreds of stops handled brilliantly”

Pros

Compared with other routing tools that cap routes at around 25 stops, this software lets us optimize routes with hundreds of stops which has saved us both time and money. On top of that, the customer support team has been excellent whenever we've had questions about how to use the product.

Cons

A few of our drivers have asked for a right-turns-only routing option and that isn't available in this program right now.
