Customer Screening
The tool is designed to swiftly detect and assess risk from new individual clients during the onboarding process. It uses a proprietary, real-time risk database of global watchlists, politically exposed persons (PEPs), and adverse media to ensure thorough due diligence.
Continous Monitoring
ComplyAdvantage continuously tracks changes to both customer and company risk statuses, automatically generating alerts for any evolving risks. Furthermore, high-frequency daily scans ensure that any changes to a monitored entity's profile are captured and flagged in real-time.
Company Screening
The platform provides capabilities to quickly and accurately evaluate the risk profiles of business entities and corporate customers. This allows compliance teams to confidently onboard new business clients and adhere to Know Your Business (KYB) requirements.
Transaction Monitoring
ComplyAdvantage uses a holistic approach, applying rules and machine learning algorithms to monitor transactions for AML risk. The system intelligently identifies complex and evolving suspicious patterns, informing compliance teams before any issues are escalated.
Payment Screening
This feature is designed to boost sanctions compliance and improve efficiency by securely screening payments in real-time, minimizing friction for customers. It helps ensure that a business can protect itself from risk without compromising user experience.

“Useful for understanding potential legal concerns”
Pros
Amazing how much internet-sourced data it brings together. It pulls in a wide range of adverse media information which makes it much more helpful when trying to assess reputational risk. That feature is especially valuable for understanding the reputation and potential legal concerns involved in doing business with a person or a company.
Cons
A noticeable gap is the very limited ownership information. There is not much detail on the beneficial ownership of a sanctioned entity. When a sanctioned company is flagged, there really should be a clearer trail showing why it is considered sanctioned, whether that is due to a sanctioned owner or a specific designation from an authority. It would also be helpful if the platform included links to related entities connected to the sanctioned company itself.

“Faster screening and clearer compliance”
Pros
I appreciate how well it simplifies sanctions, PEP and adverse media screening in a cloud-based platform that feels user-friendly to use. It gives us a more efficient and consistent way to handle supplier due diligence which makes it easier to stay on top of compliance requirements without creating extra admin work.
Cons
Navigation is very simple, the screening results are returned quickly and the risk-based approach makes it easier to concentrate on suppliers that actually need more detailed review. The option to keep an auditable record of all screening activity is also incredibly useful when we need to show compliance with institutional policies and governance standards. Altogether, it helps us make better-informed procurement decisions while adding efficiency and transparency to the supplier onboarding process.
