Built for workers and transparent safety

Pros

This thing was literally built for the people doing the work. Almost everyone actually uses it because it's so easy to figure out and looks good doing it. It also makes safety totally transparent across the whole company. Everyone can hold everyone else accountable for fixing problems, whether that's workers pushing managers or managers pushing each other.

Cons

Nothing really. They keep adding stuff and making it better. We haven't even rolled out all the features yet because we're still in the middle of implementation.

we can check training records on phone

Pros

I like that I can check my own training records right on my phone if I'm not sure I'm qualified to run a certain piece of equipment. I can also have my guys pull theirs up on their tablets. It's super handy when I'm doing investigations or tracking completed work through the incident and pre-task tools. During line-up I can see exactly who's read the plan and they can download it to keep on hand.

Cons

The notification system could use some work. On Facebook or whatever, you know instantly when someone tags you or wants your attention. Here, it's not so obvious. It would be awesome to see something like "John Smith reviewed your lineup" pop up daily so you actually know what's happening.

safety paperwork organized with pictures

Pros

All our safety paperwork and due diligence docs are organized and clean. Dropping pictures into forms is easy and gives way more context to what I'm trying to explain. Tech support kills it too. They respond fast and usually fix any problems the same day.

Cons

Forms you output can look kind of awkward sometimes especially when you're trying to include pictures. Also you need at least basic tech skills to use this. We've had some older operators who really struggle because they're just not comfortable with technology.

Speeds up company-wide communication

Pros

It speeds up communication across every level of the company and lets you really dig into how the team is getting work done.

Cons

Really looking forward to that risk management module dropping so we can actually connect organizational risks and controls down to the people doing the actual work where it matters.

critical documents in one spot

Pros

As a project manager, having all our critical job documents in one spot is a dream. Safety compliance, inspections, HR stuff, log books, line-ups, pre-ops.. it's all there, automatically saved and stored forever. We've cut way down on duplicate work, stopped chasing paper around and gotten so much better at staying connected across different projects and sites. I'm really excited about using the platform down the road to spot trends and catch leading indicators before something happens.

Cons

Every time you roll something out you get some bumps and issues but overall no real complaints.

Simple dashboard

Pros

I love that you can build your own collection of documents to fit exactly what you need. The whole thing is simple to use. The main dashboard gets you where you need to go fast and gives you quick access to whatever matters most.

Cons

When your software molds itself to exactly what your company needs, it's hard to feel like anything's missing. Sure like any new software there are little things here and there but the help desk people are scary fast at fixing whatever comes up.

connects managers directly with workers

Pros

This software lets both front line supervisors and higher management connect directly with the workers. The best thing about Sofvie is how it gives every worker a real voice. It's built around making sure employees are heard. The tools let anyone report concerns, ideas or suggestions and everything gets logged and queued up for action. No more paper getting lost or delayed. Everything happens in real time now.

Cons

Still waiting on that Risk Management module they promised. Supposed to drop Q1 2021 so any day now I guess.
