Tresorit is also compatible with all kinds of devices and operating systems which makes it practical to use anywhere. The interface is clear and fluid, easy to understand and quick to get used to. Another thing I appreciate is that there are absolutely no ads, even when using the free version.

Cons

It's features are well designed and cover all of our needs. Still, the storage space included in the free version is very limited when compared with other similar software.

Handling highly personal and confidential client information means I can't afford to lose any data or leave it exposed. I also needed a service that would let me share files and documents with both clients and colleagues without compromising security. It gives me one secure place to keep active client files and it lets me work on and share those documents with clients and coworkers with complete confidence in the protection it provides.

A recent cybersecurity audit showed that it should require 2FA at login and that was flagged as a weakness for us. Signing out is also harder than it should be because there isn't a single logout option on the main screen. If my PC were compromised, that lack of an extra barrier would be a concern when accessing it. On top of that, I'm not able to use it for daily PC backups or as a Windows backup and recovery server.

Setting up team permissions and access controls was simple which made managing users much simpler. It works just like a folder in Windows so it feels very natural and convenient to use day to day. Collaboration is also well supported since multiple people can work from the same folders and files and the check-out feature is especially useful for preventing version conflicts and reducing overlap between users. On top of that, the Windows folder integration is quick and responsive.

Cons

Compared with the Windows-style folder view, the app itself feels slower to move around in and is a little less user-friendly to use. It works well for internal teams but sharing access with someone outside the organization on a temporary basis is harder than it should be since they have to create an account first. That process feels tedious and there isn't a temporary pass option to make external access simpler.

Since it is not as widely used as some other cloud storage platforms, we do occasionally run into challenges when trying to integrate certain third-party applications.

Being Swiss-based was a big plus for me from the start and the end-to-end encryption gives me real peace of mind. Data synchronization has been reliable and performs well, the Finder integration on macOS is very convenient and the interface is simple and user-friendly.

The biggest downside is definitely the price. Since there's no family plan for two people, it ends up being even more expensive. I'd also really like a neat browser-based interface to view and organize photo backups, similar to something like Synology Photos. On top of that, there are no APIs available, at least on the Professional plan which makes it hard to connect photos to an external web-based solution such as a CMS.

Secure file storage with really good integration on both iOS and macOS especially when working within the file system.

The iOS app still falls short when it comes to video features and the built-in video player feels weaker than what other alternatives offer. Another missing piece is broader integration support especially something like WebDAV for connecting from other compatible systems.
