“organizes everything for us
Pros
I really like how easy this tool is to use. The interface is also clean and simplifies my workflow by organizing everything clearly so I can always see what's what and follow the process without confusion.
Cons
Honestly, there is almost nothing I'd fault about the platform. My only small complaint is that sometimes it's not obvious you need to scroll sideways to see the whole page which can be a bit confusing.

“Clean design works every time
Pros
I love the clean design and how stable it is. I mean it just works every time.
Cons
The design feels a bit too simple and I am not sure if that's a limit of the software or just because of my access level.

“Easy linking needs to add countries
Pros
Aeqium is really easy to use and I like that it allows me to link our salaries directly to the market salary scale.
Cons
That said, I noticed not every country has a reference scale available which I hope they expand.

“past records simplify decision making
Pros
It is simple to review and check overall results and values. Plus having access to past records makes it much easier for me to make decisions.
Cons
There's nothing specific I can point out right now but I'd just encourage them to continue adding new features!

“Spreadsheets replaced by stress-free reviews
Pros
The interface is really user-friendly and setup was pretty easy too. Managers could quickly scan information and make changes without any hassle. I also appreciated how honest the sales team was like if a feature was not possible, they told me right away. Customer support was impressively quick too as I don't think I ever waited more than an hour or two for a reply. Since moving from spreadsheets to Aeqium, managing pay reviews has become much less stressful. Our HRIS does not have an API for integrations, so I can't speak to that but even manual uploads were simple to do.
Cons
I can't really point to anything I dislike as overall it's a great tool. There are a handful of small improvements I'd welcome such as some tweaks to reporting and budgeting and the option to define annual salary calculations by formula would be particularly useful.

“daily compensation tracker with great support
Pros
I use Aeqium almost every day to track compensation bands, check pay fairness across team members and see how competitive job offers are compared to our ranges. Their support team has been outstanding too as they reply very quickly and always take my feedback seriously which I really appreciate.
Cons
There are a few features I'd like to improve. Such as allowing more edits inside the platform. For example, right now if I want to add a level to an existing ladder, I have to upload a whole new file instead of just changing a field in the app. Expanding pay-mix features, like assigning a pay mix to a specific job level and having the system automatically calculate an offer based on that. These updates would make my workflow much smoother.

“Highly configurable with quick support
Pros
it is very user-friendly and highly configurable, providing a wide range of customization options to fit different workflows. The implementation and initial setup were easy too since it integrates easily with most HRIS systems. Their support team responds incredibly quickly and is consistently effective. I rely on it every single day for benchmarking and managing performance cycles across the company.
Cons
It is not a complete performance cycle platform, so I sometimes find that certain parts of the process behave strangely.

“All-in-one with clean design
Pros
Honestly, there is so much to like. The range of features is impressive as it handles everything from compensation bands and planning to employee total rewards, manager pay visibility and visual offer letters for candidates. In short it is truly an all in one solution. And I really like the clean design, the flexibility in setting up comp cycles and the ability to control user permissions. Overall, I cannot think of anything it's missing.
Cons
Sometimes I find it hard to understand how certain calculation fields work during compensation planning as they can be a bit unclear. But luckily, their customer support is fantastic and usually just a quick Slack message away, so I get help fast.

“Affordable transformed compensation cycles
Pros
At Thoropass, Aeqium completely changed how we handle compensation. The system is very easy to use as we can set up pay bands and manage the entire review process without any hassle. Even our executive team could run reports and make decisions without needing long training sessions. Thanks to the self-service tools, our small People team could make changes instantly, which made our compensation cycles much faster. On top of that, it was far more affordable than our previous tool. Also it gave us everything we needed for less than half the price.
Cons
Overall it has worked very well but we did run into a handful of small glitches during the initial setup phase. And on a few occasions I had to contact customer support to get clarification about specific functions. Those problems were handled quickly and despite that the onboarding felt considerably easier than with other solutions we've tried.

“Flexible cycles with clear visibility
Pros
It is an excellent tool as gives us the flexibility to run compensation cycles that meet a variety of needs. Plus it's helped managers and employees get a clearer picture of team compensation and better visibility into total rewards. The interface is also user friendly and easy to use. Even the support and engineering teams respond quickly and have helped us handle many system requests with impressive speed.
Cons
For larger, geographically spread-out companies with complex pay structures, salary band info can feel a little too much. But even with that added complexity, it has still managed to support everything we have needed.

“Simple yet powerful for teams
Pros
For daily team management, I find the tool both very simple and surprisingly powerful. My team's pay is made up of many different parts, so having clear visibility into each person's total package is really important. Plus the tool lets me see a clear breakdown of my own compensation and easily review the packages for all my direct and indirect reports all in a simple, easy to use interface. So yes I would definitely recommend this product for compensation planning and managing teams of any size.
Cons
I do not really have much critical feedback so far. It has been easy to get started with the tool, especially when running compensation analysis periods and I was able to jump right into using it without much onboarding or friction.

“Spreadsheet replacement with quick setup
Pros
Aeqium replaced the manual spreadsheets we used for compensation reviews saving us a lot of time. Also it is easy to set up and simple to use. We can add custom formulas in the background and creating new review cycles is quick too. Plus their support team is very responsive and helps us fix issues or explore new features. I also like how clearly it shows salary bands and pay ranges during reviews.
Cons
The tool still feels early in development. As we run into bugs now and then and not all the features we have requested have been added yet. Als they should improve the job-leveling system to include codes and grades. We still need to prepare our pay bands before uploading them though it's handy that we can adjust them once they are in the tool.

“Modern platform exceeds expectations
Pros
It is an excellent, modern platform for handling compensation. It gives me flexible tools, clear insights and practical mechanics both for running compensation cycles and for digging into and analyzing pay data. That mix of strategic insight plus hands-on execution has exceeded any expectations I had for people management software and on top of that the app works really fast.
Cons
I feel like it would be helpful to show more detailed compensation history in that view and to add context around past changes. I know this is tricky because every company tracks comp details differently.

“Helpful team listens to feedback
Pros
The Aeqium team is extremely helpful and their customer support is excellent. They really listen when we ask for new features and if it helps multiple customers, they usually deliver it in a reasonable time. Whether during setup or throughout the year, their responsiveness is impressive. They are also open to customer feedback. Plus the software itself is easy to use, has a clean design and is simple to set up so I could get started quickly. Overall the learning curve is gentle and easy to manage too.
Cons
To me it seems built for smaller, startup-style tech companies so it does not always fit more formal or larger organizations. When I tried to set up job architecture, I had to manually match our job codes to their Job Ladder and Job Level fields which took a lot of time. The system also does not really support traditional job grades which makes sense for their target audience, but can be limiting for companies that use formal grading. I have also noticed the product changes often and sometimes those updates happen without clear warning. That's frustrating because changes in one area can affect others. Unlike other vendors who roll out updates over weekends and send notes, we sometimes log in during the week and find features have changed unexpectedly.
