Pros
I felt the questions matched the job well and I was impressed by how quickly links loaded and how smoothly each question transitioned. The system responded fast and worked without any glitches.
Cons
the time allowed felt a bit too short given the number and depth of the questions.

Pros
In my experience, the amount of time given to finish the assessment felt adequate and fair. The allotted duration and the nature of the questions were well-balanced, making it simple for someone with hands-on experience to respond. I'm confident this approach will significantly reduce the time and effort recruiters spend when identifying candidates who truly deserve the role.

“Hindered my work
Pros
Not much to mention here. I've found it to be awkward when assessing candidates. It has struggled to identify suitable matches for our clients. Given my track record of over 100 placements in two years, I feel Alooba has hindered my work.
Cons
Accessing applicant data could be more convenient for me. The results should be anonymized. It would help to have an option to reveal applicants all at once. I've seen numerous drawbacks while regularly using it.

What I value most about this product is its flexibility, adaptability and the fast way the team responds to any feedback. As a result, I can start using the platform smoothly right after an introduction. The team consistently uncovers unique and creative features that set it apart from other analytics tools and I see those ideas quickly tested and put into action.
Cons
Some of the questions, both theoretical and practical, were worded in a way that felt ambiguous. Because of that, analysts who went through the process often ended up making mistakes. I also think the team's mindset contributed to this issue, though I believe this is something that can be improved to prevent similar problems in the future.

All in all this is an excellent platform and it significantly cuts down the hours I spend screening applicants. It offers a clean, user-friendly interface for both hiring managers and recruiters as well as for candidates. I feel the range of customization provided to users is enough to customize assessments without being so broad that setup becomes overly time-consuming. The breadth of content across various data domains is impressive. When compared with more general tech or software-focused screening tools available, I find this much more tailored for hiring needs. It performs particularly well for screening candidates in entry-level positions. Support from the customer service team is prompt and helpful. I would definitely recommend this solution. The analytics helped inform our internal hiring decisions significantly overall.
Cons
At this point, I haven't found any major issues. One idea for future releases would be to adapt the test difficulty according to the candidate's answers to the first few questions, i.e. dynamically generate the questions.

“Lets me evaluate technical abilities of candidates
Pros
Because I recruit for highly technical positions but don't have a technical background myself, screening candidates over the phone can be really challenging. Alooba lets me evaluate their technical abilities before I pass them along to a client which saves a lot of uncertainty. That way, my clients receive a clear baseline of each candidate's technical skills and we avoid spending interview time chasing things that are only claimed on a resume.
Cons
I honestly can't find any negatives. It's proven to be an invaluable tool for screening candidates for one of our biggest clients, where I personally handled over 100 placements across two years and it made that process much smoother.

“Excellent support team
Pros
I got things up and running really fast with an assessment that was customized to our needs. The Alooba team's responsiveness and support genuinely impressed me, they were quick to help and very attentive. Creating consistent tests customized to different roles let us establish a clear baseline for comparing every applicant. We integrated it as one of several steps in our hiring workflow and I found the assessments useful for removing much of the guesswork when narrowing down candidates. On top of that, the workflow and the simple way to view and compare results made the whole process feel simple and efficient.
Cons
We felt the user interface could use some polishing, especially around the tools for customizing assessments which isn't as user-friendly as I'd like. Also, I'd love for Alooba to offer a much bigger question library to pick from so we have more variety and options when building tests.

It has cut down the time and effort we spend managing our hiring pipeline. It makes it fast and simple to evaluate the analytical abilities of a large pool of applicants. That helps us concentrate on the most promising prospects. The team is professional and quick to respond to questions and feedback.

I find the product's design a bit dated and not particularly modern in its look and feel.
